When I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, they weren't all that great. Especially since it contains PEG-60, which I've had stinging reactions to before (particularly in lip products). Despite this, I couldn't be sure about its effectiveness for nasolabial folds without trying it, and there weren't many reviews. The price seemed reasonable, so I decided to purchase it. On the day it arrived, I washed my face, applied toner and moisturizer, then immediately put on the patch. As soon as I applied it, it stung and burned. At first, the patch didn't adhere well to my skin over the skincare products I'd applied earlier, and it kept feeling like it was sliding off my face. There was also a scent that reminded me of a mix between cosmetics and perfume. The burning sensation persisted, but thinking it might be temporary, I kept it on longer. Once it was fully absorbed and the hydrogel patch had dried out (no longer feeling moist), the stinging finally subsided. I'm not sure if my skin had adapted to the irritation or if it just felt slightly numb. Anyway, when I tried to return it due to the irritation, they said I'd have to pay for the return shipping... sigh.
