Before reviewing the Mugwort Cleansing Foam, let me describe my skin type: Sensitive + Combination-Oily + Acne-prone + Prone to redness! My skin changes with the seasons: Extremely oily in spring and fall Normal in summer Extremely dry in winter I used this cleansing foam during spring when my skin was at its oiliest. Form: I bought this after getting a recommendation for a gentle cleansing foam at the store. Unlike most cleansing foams that have a thick texture, this product has more of a gel-like feel - smooth and soft. It also contains small exfoliating particles, so it seems like it could manage both excess oil and dead skin cells in one go! Scent: Given the name 'Pure Mugwort', I expected a strong mugwort scent. However, to me, the fragrance was subtle and pleasant. It's not that raw, grassy mugwort smell, but a refined one... It's like a natural scent with just a hint of mugwort! I found myself enjoying the aroma throughout the cleansing process. Cleansing effectiveness: Cleansing power should be a priority for any foam cleanser, and despite its gentle texture, this one didn't disappoint! I use it as my second cleanse, and it does a good job of removing any leftover makeup my first cleanse missed! However, it might struggle a bit if used for the first cleanse alone. Dryness: I have very sensitive skin that's both oily and dehydrated! Usually, my skin feels extremely dry after cleansing, but surprisingly, this product didn't leave my skin feeling parched! While there's always some level of dryness after cleansing, with this product, I only experienced minimal dryness!
Exfoliation: As mentioned earlier, the product contains some exfoliating particles. Though they're minimal, they still seemed to irritate my skin somewhat. While those without sensitive skin might find this beneficial for skin care, those with sensitive skin might not appreciate it. As someone who dislikes scrubs in general, I wasn't a fan of this aspect. Packaging: The lid is very sturdy, which makes it difficult to open. On the bright side, this means it's more hygienic, but it requires quite a bit of strength to open every time you want to cleanse. You really have to grit your teeth to get it open... It's a bit frustrating! Ingredients: I usually check the ingredients after purchasing a product! Unfortunately, I found it contains citric acid, which can be slightly harmful for sensitive skin... It's always disappointing to discover this after buying, but I hope those with sensitive skin will take note of this before purchasing!
It can be used as a decent daily foam cleanser All in all, it's just an average product Those who dislike exfoliating textures should avoid this This concludes my review of the TONYMOLY From Ganghwa Pure Mugwort Cleansing Foam
