You can tell just from swatching this on the back of your hand - these Bobbi Brown folks are seriously obsessed with shimmer. It's a dazzling, sparkling, luxurious spectacle with gold pearls in various sizes and intensities causing quite a stir. Meanwhile, the mattes are precisely divided into white and black, making it a bit of an amusing palette to look at. Even for a shimmer enthusiast like me, I think the stark black matte shade in this golden extravaganza seems out of place, unless we're having a bumblebee convention. The golden design gave it an upgraded ethereal feel. It looked even more beautiful depending on the angle you viewed it from. With 7 color shades and 3 textures, it's perfect for both everyday and party makeup looks. The color payoff was fantastic, and there was no excess powder fallout, which I was really satisfied with. I was completely smitten when I saw that the shimmer stayed put without much smudging, even after wearing it all day. As expected from the color cosmetics powerhouse Pupa! For those who love shimmer, I think it's worth stocking up on this palette to play with different shimmers and colors every day. However, I was a bit disappointed that I probably won't use the two shades on the right side since they're not colors I typically wear. The color payoff was so intense that I had to be careful with the amount I applied. I remember being surprised when I first used it and accidentally applied too much shimmer because I hadn't mastered the right amount yet.

The color payoff is truly incredible - you can create various looks with just a small amount. The gold shimmer is elegantly beautiful, giving a high-end feel without looking cheap at all. The intense pigmentation means you need to be careful with the amount you use. It's not really a drawback, but it does require a bit more precision when applying your makeup. The shimmers look stunning even when applied alone, and you can easily create smoky eye looks too.
