The cushion was more moisturizing than I expected, which made it really pleasant to use! The color was darker than I anticipated, giving my face a grayish tint, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2022
This is the best cushion I've tried recently. Even when applied over moisturizer, it doesn't pill and maintains its glow. The more you layer, the better the coverage without caking. It's amazing at covering blemishes and pores - no primer needed! I can't help but exclaim in awe. The puff is excellent too. It really gives an even, natural-looking coverage. As I have oily skin year-round, some oil did come through, leaving slight marks on my phone and mask. However, my makeup didn't break down or look messy. I think it would be perfect if you finish with a setting spray, or carry blotting papers and a mattifying powder compact with you. - ys*****Dry SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityOct 9, 2021
The case feels luxurious, and you can tell they've put a lot of thought into details like the label. The sponge design is also pretty, haha! It applies moistly at first, but quickly dries to a matte finish. This would be great for summer, though it was a bit too matte for my dry skin. The coverage isn't particularly high, but I personally don't prefer full coverage, so I liked the natural look it gave. The shade is quite light. It feels even lighter than shade 21. I usually use shade 22, but with this one, my face looks ghostly pale. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 20, 2021
Shade 22-23, combination skin, gives a slightly radiant look. It's moisturizing, so my makeup didn't separate even after hours of wear. The price is a bit steep. Also, because it's quite hydrating, it transferred onto my mask quite a bit. I'm deducting one star due to the price. - zz****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 29, 2021
The luxurious case is a nice touch. It's not greasy and provides excellent coverage. You only need a tiny amount to cover your entire face. The more you pat it in, the better it adheres to your skin. It's excessively matte. Once you apply it with the puff, it seems to set quickly in place. While patting helps distribute the coverage, it results in a very matte finish. For a less matte look, try slightly dampening the puff with toner before applying. This technique allows for a more hydrated makeup application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 6, 2021
The coverage is so good that you don't need to use a separate concealer. It also covers well during touch-ups without caking. It transfers heavily onto masks and comes off easily, unfortunately. If you want it to stay put, using a setting spray or powder is absolutely essential! - dk********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 22, 2021
1. The cushion foundation with the complexion darker-skinned individuals have been longing for! Natural color payoff 2. Excellent adherence to skin 3. As a cushion for deeper skin tones, the coverage was satisfyingly impressive Being a matte cushion, it might not sit well if you don't have a solid skincare base I expected less transfer since it's a matte cushion, but it still transfers quite a bit - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 8, 2021
From first opening, the hydration was top-notch! I really loved the pact cushion. When I first opened it, it seemed like it would be very hydrating, but after using it, it felt quite drying. As time passed, I noticed some cracking. It might be better to apply this with a moisturizer and skip the cushion. If you're going for a natural look, I'd recommend mixing it with a hydrating cream, spreading it evenly, and skipping the cushion altogether. - 03****Combination SkinAcne SkinJun 1, 2021
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers: ➖Design When I first opened the package, I was amazed by how pretty it was! While it's a bit on the larger side, the square shape with a mint-colored top makes it unique and attractive. The mirror is also large, which is very useful for touch-ups or general use. However, its size might make it a bit challenging to carry in a mini bag. ➖Color I've always preferred a radiant complexion, so I often use pink-beige tones. This cushion foundation is pink-beige, which gives my face a lovely brightness! It also seems to neutralize redness, which I'm personally very satisfied with. ➖Application and Longevity When you apply it to your face with the puff, it feels like it's adhering really well! However, you need to pat it in quickly as it seems to set fast if you apply it slowly. The finish is matte. It doesn't break down quickly, has decent staying power, and doesn't transfer much to masks! ➖Price It seems quite expensive, but considering the amount you get, it might be worth it. ➖Scent There's a slight scent or fragrance, which personally, I'm not too fond of. ➖Ingredients I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't agree with me, but on days when I use this cushion, I get small bumps on my face. It's disappointing because I like the color, design, and application, but this is a significant drawback. Because of this, I ended up only using it sparingly for touch-ups. - da*****Oily SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2021
When I used it, just one touch was enough to spread it evenly across my entire face, and the coverage was remarkably impressive. The application was smooth, and there was absolutely no pilling. I don't have acne-prone skin, but rather combination to oily skin. It does give a slightly matte finish. As I have oily skin, it settled into a more natural look after some time. With a light touch of highlighter, I achieved that coveted honey-like glow
