As someone with dry skin, I always try out essence-balm type foundations like this one during this time of year. The color itself is pleasantly bright, so when applied to the skin, it blends well with your natural complexion without looking overdone. I really liked that I could use it without feeling self-conscious. The puff is nicely firm yet soft, providing good adherence. It gives a subtle glow that beautifully enhances the skin (I was quite satisfied that this glow wasn't the overly shiny, greasy kind). It offers a natural brightness that's great for daily use, and it applies thinly so it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. (There's a bit of transfer and imprinting, but a light dusting of powder makes it easy to use.) I was also pleased that it didn't darken much over time! I bought this expecting it to be moisturizing, but surprisingly, the hydration doesn't last very long. It tends to feel a bit dry after some time, which was somewhat disappointing. Also, the coverage feels a bit weak. I had to apply one or two layers of this product all over my skin tone, and then use a separate concealer to cover dark spots and blemishes. - wl*******Dry SkinJun 21, 2021
It feels moisturizing, but that's about it. The product itself is moist, but it doesn't actually hydrate the skin... Zero coverage. Transfers onto masks like crazy. Even the 'Skin Beige' shade is too dark. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 2, 2021
I bought this as an alternative to Age20's for my mom, and she says it's great. It's moisturizing, and even when it fades, it does so naturally without looking messy. Seems like a good choice. The built-in puff isn't that great, so I'm using a different applicator. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2020
1) Coverage: Light to medium - It evens out skin tone well but doesn't fully cover blemishes or discoloration. (However, this wasn't an issue for me and I'm satisfied). Instead, it makes the skin look transparently beautiful. I've received many compliments on how good my skin looks while wearing this. 2) Longevity: As it's a hydrating product, the staying power is somewhat lower. However, unlike similar solid-type products that often darken over time, this one doesn't darken and blends well with natural oils. 3) Adherence: Due to its moisturizing nature, it doesn't adhere as strongly, but there's no caking or clumping when touching up. You can reapply multiple times without issues. 4) Application: Whether you pat it on with a puff or smooth it on, the makeup doesn't pill! The low adherence means the makeup can easily rub off, requiring frequent touch-ups. Since the product itself is hydrating, it's better to keep your base skincare moderately fresh rather than too moisturizing. This improves the product's longevity and adherence!
