Original - It has a thin, viscous texture (like clear mucus, haha). You can really feel the hydration. The finish is initially very moisturizing, but the water evaporates quickly, leaving a slightly sticky feeling and a thin coating of oil. It's hydrating, fresh, and lightweight. Premium - It has a thicker, more substantial texture. It's very slippery, and even a small amount provides long-lasting moisture. The finish is similar to the original but feels a bit more substantial. Both are fantastic, but personally, I prefer the original. It's lightweight, hydrating, and non-sticky. You can easily wipe it off with just a tissue or wet wipe, leaving your skin feeling fresh and moisturized. This is the best lubricant I've ever used. Highly recommended! (Not sponsored, purchased with my own money) The quantity is quite small for the price. It's a good size for carrying around, though. I wish the price was a bit lower, and it would be great if they offered a larger size option. While the price is a bit steep, I would still repurchase. It would be nice if it had a pleasant scent too. For best results, warm it up by rubbing it between your palms before use. I've included a 60ml lens cleaning solution bottle in the photo for size comparison. - dj********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 10, 2020
While the texture is a bit thin, as someone who's used Y makeup gel, I appreciate that Dermaglide has some viscosity and doesn't dry too quickly. It's great for my sensitive skin - no reactions at all. I also love that it's practically fragrance-free, which makes me like it even more. There's nothing I dislike about it. The packaging even looks like an emulsion bottle, so it's convenient to keep anywhere. On days when I use magic, I noticed that when the amount gets low, the pad can irritate my skin. Applying the gel helps prevent this friction to some extent.
