As expected, it's been discontinued. It's a vivid cherry-pink red. Highly recommended for cool-toned beauties! This velvet tint glides on smoothly and blends beautifully. The cool-toned cherry red was such a gorgeous shade. What a shame it's gone! The formula feels a bit oily and slippery on the lips, and it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. Perfect for a statement lip! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2021
When swatched on the back of my hand, it's a blend of red, berry, plum, and pink. The color is quite unique and beautiful. After the initial swatch, I noticed a strong reddish tint, which made me wonder if it would suit my warm complexion. However, when applied to my lips, it transformed into a cool, deep berry pink. There's hardly any red undertone, just a cool, dark pink that's a bit challenging to wear on its own. It might work well for cool-toned individuals who suit deeper shades. Due to its slightly slippery texture, it doesn't mix well with nude lipsticks. However, I found it works great when lightly dabbed over a warm lip color that makes you look too flushed. It neutralizes the warmth and blends seamlessly with your complexion. I rarely use it alone, but I often reach for it when I want to add a touch of pink, applying it with light taps. I've always felt that the Airy Velvet line tends to sit on top of the lips rather than absorbing, and the staying power isn't great. Unfortunately, even after the reformulation, these issues persist. It doesn't feel like it sets on the lips, making it difficult to apply precisely where you want it. The moment it's applied even slightly thick, it fails to adhere properly. Instead of being able to swipe it on quickly, you need to take your time and apply it carefully, which is a bit of a drawback. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 21, 2021
✓ My personal color is cool-toned! ✓ My lips don't have many wrinkles or dead skin cells ❤️ Color: Overall, it has a cool base with deep pink + plum + red tones. If you apply less, it leans more pink, and if you apply more, it's closer to a cool red! The color is really beautiful. I also felt it had a slightly intriguing warmth to it. 💙 Texture: As expected, it has that typical Airy Velvet oily texture... If the color wasn't to my liking, I probably wouldn't buy Airy Velvet again. It feels like it's constantly sitting on top of my lips. It's lightweight, but it applies in a way that seems to show through on the lips. 💙 As mentioned above, it applies somewhat sheerly, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who want to completely cover their natural lip color. However, if you apply a bit more, it can provide fuller coverage. 💙 Staining: It's a tint, but the staining is really minimal, which is surprising! Still, after eating and looking in the mirror, it's not so bad that you look like a corpse, so it's okay... 💙 Longevity: The staying power is quite poor. I'm not sure if it's because the tint doesn't absorb well into the lips... 💎 As I was writing, I ended up listing mostly cons, haha. But it's not that bad overall. 💎 It looks pretty if you apply YSL Tatouage Couture #16 as a base and layer 'Jin of Jin' on top. You won't even notice it sitting on top of your lips. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 3, 2020
It's less shiny than the previous Airy Velvet formulas, which is great. The cool red shade is versatile, suiting both cool and warm skin tones. However, it can feel a bit slippery on the skin, and it takes some effort to apply it beautifully. Using a brush gives the prettiest finish. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 20, 2020
The velvety texture and excellent color payoff were fantastic! The plum-tinged pink shade would be perfect for cool-toned skin types. The Airy Velvet formula has a slightly floating sensation that might surprise first-time users. Besides the texture, there aren't really any drawbacks! When using it for the first time, shake the container to prevent the oil and powder from separating. This ensures better color payoff and reduces the floating feeling.
