  Pros

  The oily T-zone with excess sebum has noticeably reduced oil. I loved how it wasn't sticky at all. It feels like you're not wearing anything, but the results are amazing!

  Cons

  I have sensitive combination skin that's super delicate. While it works great on my T-zone, it's too drying for my cheeks and chin. When I apply it all over, it feels too dry. So I only use it on my T-zone. Since my main concern was the oily areas, I'm not too disappointed. The effect is good for a summer-specific product, but why does it feel a bit pricey? I'm not sure why it's limited to summer use - my T-zone is an oil explosion even in winter!

  Tip

  I don't usually apply skincare with my hands. Since it's a gel, I use a cotton pad to gently wipe it over my T-zone. This way, it feels fresh without any stickiness and works effectively.

  Pros

  I loved how lightweight it feels when applied, and most importantly, it didn't irritate my skin at all! With my combination dehydrated skin, other products would leave my face oily while still lacking moisture, making dry patches stand out. This product, however, manages oil well while providing hydration, which I really appreciate! It's especially great for calming the skin when applied after cleansing in the morning and evening.

  Cons

  I bought this hoping it would help with sebum, but I didn't see much improvement with blackheads, unfortunately. Since it's a gel cream, those with dry skin who prefer richer creams might find it a bit lacking in moisture.

  Pros

  It's great for acne-prone skin, especially when you're experiencing a burning sensation. I also love using it as the final step in my skincare routine. It's not greasy at all and feels as light as a hydrating moisturizer. At first, it seems a bit sticky, but it absorbs quickly and leaves a lightweight finish. Even though I have oily, acne-prone skin, I think it's suitable for use beyond just the summer months.

  As someone with oily, blemish-prone skin, I didn't find any particular drawbacks with this product.

  When used as a sleeping pack before bed, it helps reduce redness and you wake up with absolutely gorgeous skin the next morning. Even though I have oily skin, it doesn't feel sticky at all!

  Pros

  I've been using this all summer as my skin has become extremely oily, applying it before makeup. My skin was shockingly greasy, so I was really struggling until I found this summer-specific product and decided to give it a try. When you spread it on, it feels like water. It provides hydration without any rich feeling. While it doesn't absorb super quickly, if you apply a small amount, it absorbs in a reasonable time. I love that you don't need to use a lot of product.

  Cons

  Sadly, using this doesn't actually reduce oil production. I wish someone could take away some of my excess oil!

  Tip

  This product is too light for those with dry skin. If you have oily skin, the pro tip is to test it out before making a decision.

  I use this as a set with the toner, and they work really well together. While the toner completely eliminates oiliness and might leave a slightly dry feeling, this gel cream provides a significant hydration boost despite its lightweight texture. I often use it as a mask substitute, spreading a moderate amount before bed. Even though I'm currently taking isotretinoin and sleeping with the air conditioner on, I don't feel any dryness. It seems to offer just the right level of hydration for summer use.

  Cons

  I bought this expecting a cooling effect, but honestly, there's hardly any. The scent might be hit or miss for some people. It has the same fragrance as the broccoli toner, which I personally find pleasant. It's a somewhat addictive scent.

  Tip

  Don't worry about the moisture evaporating quickly just because it's a gel. You don't need to apply it thickly - it's better to use a moderate amount, like you would with a cream.

  Looking at the ingredients on Hwahae, there are no harmful components. It's not too rich either. I think it's just a nice, easy-to-use product that works well for most people.
