I usually include a moisturizer or nourishing cream in my nighttime skincare routine, but while undergoing acne treatment at the dermatologist, I used this gel instead. My skin was never prone to blemishes before, but last year they suddenly started appearing, leaving me at a loss. Though my experience might not be widely applicable, I found this gel to be more focused on hydration than nourishment. It felt refreshingly light on my skin and absorbed well. To be honest, there's not much to criticize... However, the scent might be a bit divisive for some people. - fr*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 5, 2020
The soothing gel formula is perfect for light use during summer It evaporates quickly, making it unsuitable for those with dry skin - es*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessOct 5, 2020
Skin condition - Cheeks: Redness, dryness, sensitivity / Forehead, chin, nose: Combination dehydrated skin Scent: Cool, refreshing fragrance / Reminiscent of men's toner Application: Provides a cooling effect / Needs some time to absorb / Has a rich feel Ingredients: Gentle I was planning to buy aloe gel for summer, but purchased this for sebum care and as a summer-exclusive product Compared to aloe gel, it's richer and has a unique scent / The cooling effect soothes redness when applied to cheeks / I've used it instead of emulsion in summer before. Seems suitable for oily skin types Scent: May be polarizing Price: Somewhat expensive and small quantity No effect on blackheads - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 29, 2020
Skin type: Extremely oily T-zone, combination U-zone, lots of blackheads, and acne galore. Looking at it now, it's quite an irritating skin type, isn't it? Male/23/ The type who's very interested in skincare and loves to explore different products. Hydration: 4/5 First off, the gel cream's cool texture gives a very hydrating feel. When applied, you instantly get a strong sensation of moisture. Moisture retention: 3/5 Well, I'm not sure if it's actually absorbing into the skin, but the moisturized feeling seems to disappear after about 30 minutes. It has a somewhat thick consistency. Also, I'm not sure if it has any significant effect on improving blackheads. Overall, I'd give it a below-average recommendation! - ha*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 11, 2020
Texture: It's a cream but feels like a gel, which I absolutely love! I usually hate sticky products, but this level of stickiness is totally fine. It's not thick or heavy, just nicely moisturizing. I only need to apply toner and this product before bed, and I don't feel dry at all. Scent: While some reviews mention mixed opinions about the fragrance, it's definitely not unscented! As someone who isn't particularly sensitive to smells, my personal take is that it has a fresh, healthy scent. It's not overpowering at all. I'm actually quite picky with food and never eat broccoli, but I've already used over half of this product, if that tells you anything! What I loved: I tend to get small blemishes from heavy creams, so I usually go for lighter products. This one is truly lightweight, which I adore! I used this for my skincare routine all summer long. Effectiveness: The product claims to care for blackheads and sebum, but... the blackheads on my nose haven't budged at all. Why won't you disappear? Room for improvement: A few hours after finishing my routine with this product, I notice my skin gets a bit oily. This happens even though I don't have particularly oily skin. I wonder why that is? This gel-type cream is perfect for summer use! Try keeping it in the fridge and applying it cool - it'll feel just like soothing aloe vera gel. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 29, 2020
I tried the broccoli line, and first off, it didn't cause any blemishes. I had been using a product that was probably too rich, which led to a breakout of small bumps and blemishes around my eyes and between my brows. I bought this in a hurry, looking for something light to apply. The next day, the redness and bumpy blemishes had significantly calmed down. It's perfect for summer - incredibly lightweight and fresh, and best of all, it has a slight cooling effect that feels so refreshing! I really love the broccoli line and I'm praying it doesn't get discontinued. Why don't they ever have sales? And please make a larger size! It might be a bit drying for combination skin types. When that happens, mixing it with a serum works great! - ch********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2020
1. Soothing - When your skin is super sensitive, applying this before bed has a calming effect. 2. Hydration - The moisture level is quite good. 3. Price - It offers great value for money. 1. Scent - The smell is a bit unpleasant... Like boiled cabbage? That's the kind of odor it has... 2. Stickiness - It's sticky, but this is mainly an issue in summer.. Mixing this half-and-half with aloe gel in summer works pretty well - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2020
1. Has a cooling effect. When stored in the fridge, it feels refreshingly cool on the face. 2. Not overly sticky. Absorbs well into the skin. 1. Personally, I find the scent off-putting. It's not exactly unpleasant, but there's an odd fragrance that's a bit bothersome. 2. Can't really tell about the hydration. It absorbs well, but I'm not sure if it's actually staying on the skin... It's more for soothing than hydration. When kept in the fridge, it feels like Elsa from Frozen has blessed your face. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2020
After trying many products, I've come back to the Broccoli Clearing Gel Cream. For my extremely oily skin that's literally dripping with sebum, there's really no better product out there. I thought this was supposed to be a summer-only product, but they're still selling it. I wonder if it's become a permanent item? If it gets discontinued, I'll be at a total loss. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 13, 2020
Light and absorbs well, with a cooling effect when applied. As someone with combination super sensitive skin, I use this year-round. In summer, it's good enough to replace my moisturizer without being sticky, and surprisingly, there's no pilling! The lack of pilling is probably its best feature. The texture is a slightly thin gel-type! The soothing effect seems a bit lacking. Also, as quickly as it absorbs, it feels a bit short on hydration... I'm not sure about its effectiveness on blackheads. However, for skin like mine, it doesn't irritate or clog pores, and it's affordable and decent. In summer, I use this as my base essence. Or usually in the evening when I do my skincare device routine, I apply this essence or ampoule, then spray some mist while using the device.
