I started using this during late pregnancy when my legs were swollen and sore. Applying it with a massage makes my legs feel refreshingly cool, giving me a sense of relief from fatigue. It also absorbs well and quickly, making it pleasant to use. It's a shame they don't offer a smaller size for travel. I'd love to be able to carry it around easily when I'm on the go. Personally, I found that applying a second layer after the first one has absorbed intensifies the cooling sensation. - te*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 29, 2024
During my pregnancy, I gained 27 kilos and experienced swelling all over my body, especially in my legs. I always made sure to apply a relaxing cream and wear compression stockings! This product was a gift from my friends who warned me I'd regret it if I didn't manage the swelling early on. Compared to the stretch mark cream from the same brand, this one has a thinner consistency, which makes it absorb well and easier to apply. It also has a cooling effect that makes your legs feel refreshed after application. I'm not sure if it was because I used it in combination with compression stockings, but I noticed a significant improvement in reducing swelling. After trying the product and loving it, I continued to purchase it several times. However, the price was a bit of a burden. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 12, 2024
I'm enjoying using this product. While I don't notice the cooling effect, the hydration is great. The cooling effect is a bit disappointing. Also, it's quite similar to the stretch mark cream from the same brand, which can be confusing. - ze**********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 20, 2023
While it's marketed as a maternity product, this cream is suitable for anyone who experiences swollen legs or gets tired easily. (Which is great, as it suggests the ingredients are even gentler...) I use it as a massage cream after workouts when my legs feel tight and fatigued. Applying it generously from feet to calves and then using a gua sha tool feels wonderfully refreshing. Usually, cooling creams contain menthol, giving an intense cooling effect right away. This one is different - the cooling sensation is more subtle. At first, I was skeptical about the lack of immediate cooling, but applying a bit more provides a gentle cool feeling. Being designed for new mothers, it seems they've achieved a cooling effect with less irritating ingredients. The texture is like a lightweight hydrating moisturizer without any stickiness, and it absorbs incredibly fast. Yet, it still provides excellent hydration. Atopalm is known for their MLE creams, after all! I love how it moisturizes and reduces swelling without any irritation. Another plus is its nearly fragrance-free formula - likely another consideration for maternity products. As a perfume lover, I dislike body creams with strong scents that clash with my fragrances. This one is so moisturizing and unscented that I'm tempted to use it as an all-over body cream, not just for my legs. It would be great if they offered a larger size at a more affordable price point. - wh***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2023
As a cream for legs, it's excellent for reducing swelling. It's gentle, moisturizing, and absorbs quickly. It gives a pleasant sensation of massaging your legs. The quality comes with a price tag. It becomes more affordable if you buy in bulk, so it might be worth stocking up. It's great to apply after exercising and showering, as it helps reduce swelling. - qw*******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 24, 2023
I used this consistently from early pregnancy all the way to full term. As my legs started swelling more and more during pregnancy, applying this before bed became my nightly routine. It's even better for reducing swelling if you gently massage it in while applying! The Atopalm products have always worked so well for me, and I've used many of them. All their products have excellent absorption - they glide on smoothly and leave my skin feeling hydrated. Plus, after application, there's this refreshing, cooling sensation. The only downside is that the container looks identical to the Atopalm stretch mark cream. Since I was using both during pregnancy, I'd sometimes grab the wrong one without realizing. I can't count how many times I accidentally applied this to my belly instead of the stretch mark cream! The formula is so smooth that you can easily massage it in while applying, which really helps with reducing swelling! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 24, 2021
My legs were so swollen during pregnancy, but a friend who gave birth earlier sent me this. It feels cool and seems better for massaging than regular emulsions. Since it's a scented product, I worry about my dog licking it or it getting on the bedding. I make sure to wash my hands and let it dry completely before lying down. It runs out faster than expected, so you might want to buy two. When applying, my husband helps massage it in. Once it's absorbed well, we use an air compression massager. It feels so refreshing! - be*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 29, 2020
I started using this as a gift! It's great as a massage cream for leg swelling! It has that unique Hwahae feeling, and the texture is thinner than Atopalm's stretch mark cream. This makes it more comfortable for massaging. Some people might not like the distinctive Hwahae sensation~ But I used it with satisfaction and no discomfort! For even better hydration and help with swelling, try massaging with this relaxing cream and then wearing compression stockings! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 22, 2020
I bought this along with the Atopalm Stretch Mark Cream. I thought it was for preventing leg stretch marks, but it turns out it's actually for reducing swelling. While it does feel cool when applied, I didn't really notice any significant reduction in puffiness. I think it might be somewhat effective if used during a leg massage, as it makes the skin feel soft. It's fragrance-free. I've used The Body Shop's cooling cream before, and this doesn't have the same level of cooling or refreshing sensation. I'm not sure if it's really a functional product. To be honest, I feel like any regular cream would make your legs feel cool if you use it for a massage... I can't really tell what makes this one special. Since I've already bought it, I think it'll be fine to use consistently as a massage cream when my legs are sore!
