If it wasn't called a velvet tint, I'd describe it as a slightly hydrating tint. The color is quite intriguing - it's like a vibrant rosy pink with a hint of coral mixed in, making it hard to define in simple terms. It doesn't seem limited to only cool-toned complexions. It looks different on the lips compared to swatches on the back of the hand. When applied to the lips, it has a slightly muted pink tone! I've been using it a lot lately to brighten up my complexion. With the sudden cold weather causing my lips to develop blemishes, I couldn't wear matte lipsticks that emphasize dead skin cells. This tint, however, has good color payoff, vibrant hues, and doesn't accentuate lip texture as it's not too drying. That's why it's become my current favorite! Unfortunately, the ingredients aren't great. There are more potentially irritating components than expected, so it might not be suitable for those with sensitive lips or lip issues. I used it for about 3 weeks right after it came out (until the school confiscated it). The scent is truly amazing - while previous products had a sweet fragrance, this one has a fresh and sweet aroma. It's a warm pink shade that would likely suit most people, regardless of their warm or cool undertones. For a pink, it's not overwhelming at all and has a really pretty color - it gives off a vibrant, lively vibe. The texture seems a bit softer than before, while still feeling comfortable and lightweight on the skin. A brush is absolutely necessary, and you must be careful with the amount you apply. What I loved was the overall color - not too flashy, and if you control the amount well, it comes out beautifully. The matte texture would be perfect for those who don't suit glossy finishes. However, it's so matte that it can lead to a dead skin cells party... Applying lip balm beforehand can help cover it up, but if your lips are in bad shape, you'll need to prep them before application. It goes on glossy but sets to a velvety finish, giving great longevity. The stain it leaves behind is similar to the initial color, not just a pink tint. The staying power was excellent and the color payoff was great. It stained my lips nicely too. I'd recommend this pink shade for warm skin tones, especially spring warm tones! The color is a vibrant coral, like a blend of one drop of red and one drop of pink. The staying power is quite impressive - it lasts through a meal or two without fading. I can't really think of any downsides. The color seems universally flattering and shouldn't be polarizing. It looks beautiful when applied over a nude lipstick or a pink-beige tint as a base. This layering technique really enhances the overall look.
