  First off, it's great value for money! It contains vitamin derivatives and even niacinamide, so it's packed with everything that helps brighten your complexion. I've noticed my skin tone has indeed become lighter.

  Cons

  When I apply this before bed, my complexion is noticeably more even the next morning! Despite being a brightening product, it doesn't sting or irritate.   Pros

  It's so gentle, without causing any blemishes or irritation! I apply it at the beginning of my skincare routine, and I can really feel my complexion brightening. I've tried other spot-correcting serums, but I've come back to this one.

  Pros

  It's not sticky and feels moisturizing. I've tried various blemish serums, and many of them were either sticky or drying. However, this product is both hydrating and refreshing, which I love. The ingredients seem good, and as someone who prefers fragrance-free products, I'm even more pleased that this one seems to have no scent. I've been applying it twice a day, morning and night, and I think my complexion has brightened a bit. The dark spots on my cheekbones also seem to have faded slightly... I'll need to use it a bit longer to be sure.

  Cons

  Personally, I'm not a fan of dropper bottles as I find them inconvenient. I think a pump bottle would be better. Since my skin is super sensitive, I'm always cautious when trying new products. I felt a very, very slight burning sensation... but it's so mild that you might not even notice if you're not paying attention. It's not bothersome at all. Fortunately, I haven't experienced any redness or blemishes.

  The ingredients are gentle as there's nothing flagged on Hwahae. Unlike other serums, it absorbs well without the typical sticky feeling. After using it for two weeks: no blemishes from the serum, skin texture feels softer (personal opinion), complexion slightly brightened (though not dramatically noticeable). Can't comment on freckles as I don't have any...

  The effects aren't visibly dramatic. The price isn't particularly budget-friendly considering the results. If you dislike the typical sticky feel of serums, you might not love the initial sensation. The amount, while it might be due to my application, didn't seem generous.

  Tip

  If you prefer lightweight products, try applying just the serum after smoothing your skin with toner. After applying the serum, pat it in and then press it into your skin with your hands (don't tap). To avoid stickiness, use only about 1/3 of a dropper - that's enough.

  1. Ingredients I was pleased to see niacinamide, a brightening ingredient, listed near the top of the ingredients. This suggests it could help improve skin tone and reduce blemishes! 2. Complexion improvement After using it for a few days, I noticed my skin tone seemed a bit brighter. While I can't be certain it was solely due to this product, I did see a difference!

  1. Application While it spreads easily, it feels quite rich on the skin. I initially applied it after a light emulsion, but it seemed to pill. So I switched to applying the serum first, followed by the emulsion. 2. Dryness Like many brightening products, it can be drying. Even after applying a cream, my skin felt dehydrated, and I noticed some small bumps appearing on my forehead.

  Tip

  I think this product would work well when paired with something that can provide deep hydration to counteract the drying effects.

  Here's my review as one of The Hwahae Testers: I have combination dehydrated skin with oily tendencies and faint acne scars on both cheeks. I used this product for about 2 weeks (April 9-20). I applied it every evening, and I can definitely say it brightened my complexion compared to before! The slightly viscous texture made it easy to apply. The serum itself feels very gentle, so if you're looking for a serum to improve your skin tone and for general skincare, this could be a good purchase!

  Cons

  After applying the serum, there's a slightly sticky feeling left behind. (It's stickier than an emulsion, so it feels like dust might easily stick to it.) Since I've only used it for about 2 weeks, I'm not sure about its effectiveness on dark spots. Rather than the spots themselves becoming lighter, it seemed more like my overall complexion brightened, making the spots appear less noticeable.

  Tip

  Since the serum itself has a somewhat sticky feel, I recommend using a toner with a matte finish! I'd suggest this more for nighttime care rather than morning routines.

  Pros

  I liked that it's not too runny, but rather a thicker consistency that absorbs well into the skin when applied. It gives a nice, firming feeling to the skin. I have a lot of blemishes, so I didn't expect dramatic fading in just a few days at this price point. While it's hard to capture in photos (the results look different depending on the angle), I do think my blemishes have lightened somewhat. Overall, my complexion seems clearer too.

  If you set your expectations too high, you might end up disappointed. Since it's not a particularly expensive serum, I don't have many complaints. I believe consistent use will likely show results over time.

  I have dry skin, so I typically use a lot of hydrating products. My routine after cleansing is: toner, Kakadu serum (all over), toner again, Kakadu serum (on pigmented areas), mist, emulsion, cream, and finally another mist. I apply the serum and toner in light layers between steps. This routine helps reduce deep dryness, gives my skin a nice glow, and feels good overall. After this, I eat and then apply my makeup.
