Recently, I came across a holy grail product that has put an end to my nomadic foundation life... It's the Giverny Milchat Cover Foundation in shade 17 Porcelain!!💖
Just as the name suggests, the 'adherence' of this foundation is simply incredible😭 After applying it, I look in the mirror and think "Is this really my skin??"

First of all, let's talk a bit about the shade. I usually wear shades 17 to 21, and I have the lightest skin tone. The Giverny 17 Porcelain has a clear and luminous pink-based tone, which adds a bit of radiance to dull skin. It's perfect for those who love a pale, rosy complexion with no redness.💫

But the real highlight of this foundation is its adherence!!!
When I first apply it, it glides on so smoothly and lightly. But when I dab it with a puff or brush, it just clings to the skin so perfectly - you know that feeling, right?! It's as if it's become one with my skin!! It sinks into the skin without emphasizing pores or fine lines, providing a thin yet even coverage, making me feel so good the moment I put it on. My skin looks beautiful and comfortable✨

Especially for me, the area around my nose and chin tends to break down quickly when I wear a mask.🥲 But this product has great longevity, and most importantly, the adherence is so good that it doesn't transfer much onto the mask!
In the past, I used to worry that my makeup would break down quickly, but thanks to Giverny, that stress has significantly reduced. I can just lightly apply it before going out, and I don't even need to touch up much!

The coverage is also quite good! Blemishes and redness can be nicely covered with a few thin layers, and surprisingly, it doesn't look cakey. The adherence is so good that you can build it up without it looking heavy or uneven.

There is some darkening ㅜㅜ It's not too severe, so I'm mixing it with a little purple Hwahae.
And there's some crumbling around the edges. I need to strengthen the base.

I really love the foundation I've tried the most!! It goes on thinly but with good coverage. If you just do a good base, it looks like a smooth, dewy skin without a cakey finish, and the breakdown is pretty. I think it looks even prettier when it mixes with the oil after application. The staying power is also great.
And I think the best part is the shade. It's not too yellow-based, so it seems to suit my skin tone really well. I used to use Hera 23, but it was too dark and the color was too yellow and dull, which was disappointing... Giverny's 22 shade is also really nice, and the color itself is very pretty.

My skin tone is around 22-23, but this color seemed a bit darker than my skin tone. People like me should use shade 21.

It is a good oil-based product for oily skin. However, if you have oily skin, you should not apply too many basic skincare products. It has good coverage and does not apply too thickly.

Considering my oily skin, the Giverny Matte Foundation is better than the Giverny Full Coverage Foundation. The full coverage one is a bit more fluid, while the matte one is, well, more matte and thicker. If you have extremely oily skin, I'd recommend the matte one. But if your oil isn't that excessive, I'd also suggest the full coverage one.

The coverage was quite good and the longevity was quite decent as well. My skin tone is a bit too dark for 23, but 21 is too light for me. I purchased the 22 shade, and at first it appears bright, but as it darkens, it seems to match my skin tone well.

Mixing it with a moisturizing foundation helps address dry areas, allowing you to enjoy the benefits without any flaking or caking. I highly recommend blending it with a hydrating formula!

Over time, a slight pinching or lifting may occur around the nose... It's not too severe, so I continue to use it, but I think it's better to properly apply the base makeup to minimize the lifting! In my opinion, it seems to come out a bit brighter than the lake.

Giverny was the Hwahae that helped settle me, a nomadic Hwahae. I tend to focus more on longevity and adherence rather than coverage. There was no darkening at all, and the coverage was good since I don't have many areas on my skin that need a lot of coverage. And since using the real Giverny, my base makeup has never lifted. I don't use powder much because it dries me out, but my makeup rarely wears off or lifts. All my friends ask me what Hwahae I use, and they've all bought it too. I mostly use Hwahae and rarely use cushions, and if there was anything lacking in other Hwahae products, I can't really think of anything.

Applying the cream on the back of the hand and lightly dabbing it onto the new puff was the best method. Moisturizing cream without adding water!

I bought it because it was so famous and highly praised on YouTube, but the conclusion is that I'm very disappointed. It's a waste of money.
1. Adhesion? The name has 'adhesion' in it, but the adhesion is lower than other foundations. It leaves marks and doesn't even feel like it's sticking to the skin. I've tried using a flat brush, pore brush, round brush, regular latex puff, cushion puff, disposable puff, water-soaked puff, Mustebe puff (which helps it absorb everything well), and a spatula, but I don't want to use it anymore.
2. Texture management
Even when I gave up and just looked at it, it's not even pretty; there's a bit of an uneven texture, and depending on the base, it can come off over time.
3. Coverage
It's just average. Not too little, not too much, just right in the middle. In fact, I'm satisfied with using a concealer for coverage rather than this foundation.

The color has a beautiful ivory tone.
(But I don't know why this is considered shade 22... It's similar to Etude House Double Lasting 13.)

It's not good to just slap it on. You should properly prepare the base and then apply it.

The durability seems better than expected, so I've been using it a lot lately.

But since I use it daily, I think it's best to use a product that suits your skin type. The strong adhesion also makes it feel a bit stuffy.

3. Breakdown
It doesn't break down messily, but there was some pore clogging, which was a bit disappointing.

This is a product often used in makeup shops. It's the Giverny Lasting Cover Foundation. I also bought it after seeing it used in the shop, but it's actually a product I used to use often in my early 20s. Of course, it's been renewed since then, so it's likely quite different from back then, but the adhesion and lasting power were so good that it was a perfect match for me during that oily period.

The 23rd shade is too dark, and the 21st shade is too light for my somewhat ambiguous skin tone, but the 22nd shade is just right. I didn't need to mix in a tone-up cream, as it matched my skin tone perfectly. I highly recommend this to those with a No. 22 skin tone.

2. Recommended Skin Type: Oily, Combination
The semi-matte formula is recommended for those with oily skin. With some powder application, it holds up well even in the summer. The formula itself also has decent lasting power. All in all, it's a great value foundation!

3. Coverage & Adhesion
It can't completely cover pores, but it does a good job of concealing most blemishes. The adhesion is good, so there was less transfer onto my mask.
