It provides a slight brightening effect. I don't use foundation, so I can't comment on how it pairs with makeup. The initial feel is hydrating, but it becomes drier over time, making it great for summer use. I'm on my second tube, but I haven't been reaching for it much lately...
ConsEven though I have oily skin, I felt deep dryness after wearing it for a while. It's somewhat unavoidable with mineral sunscreens, but it's incredibly drying to use outside of summer... Also, the amount you get is quite small.
TipMake sure to apply plenty of moisturizer underneath to minimize dryness.

This sunscreen applies smoothly without white cast or causing blemishes. It feels moisturizing upon application, but the skin becomes quite dry after a while. Interestingly, despite no initial white cast, my face looks subtly brighter and more matte over time.
ConsIt's extremely drying... Even with a solid skincare routine and generous application of night cream, the dryness persists. I initially chose this product for its lack of allergenic and harmful ingredients, but after a few months, I rechecked and found it now contains 4 potentially harmful components.
TipRecommended for oily skin types. The finish becomes increasingly matte as time passes.

I was worried about white cast since it's a white cream, but while there's a slight cast, it's not enough to be concerned about.
ConsAs someone with dry skin, I'm very conscious of dryness, and I absolutely cannot recommend this for dry skin types. In my case, it starts to cause deep dryness severely after just an hour or two. At first, I thought my indoor air was dry, so I cranked up the humidifier, and even after applying sunscreen, I tried layering with mist and even aloe gel, but the extreme dryness persisted. When I washed my face again indoors and didn't apply the sunscreen, the dryness disappeared. I've only had this for a short time, and there's a lot left, but now I'm stuck with a product I can't use. What a waste!

I'm most satisfied with this product due to its pleasant white cast, smooth application, reasonable price, ingredients, and the fact that it doesn't cause blemishes.
ConsI've been using it since summer, but now in winter, I'm experiencing deep dryness. It was the best fit for my blemish-prone skin... Now I'm debating whether to switch to something else temporarily or change my entire skincare routine.
TipI have a chemical sunscreen with good ingredients at home, so I'm mixing them for winter use. While I need to monitor if it causes any blemishes, I still love how my skin looks after application thanks to its beautiful white cast.

While no sunscreen is perfect, this one doesn't look unnatural at all. It provides a natural-looking correction to your complexion. ✅Makeup longevity Dry products usually struggle with lasting power. I used to have a hard time with really dry ones, but after applying this, my makeup didn't break down much even in summer, so I used it well. ✅Gentle ingredients No need to say more!
ConsThere aren't many downsides, but this one is crucial - it's extremely drying! Unless you have oily skin, I honestly don't think you can use this product. If your skin isn't naturally very hydrated, it'll make your cheeks feel tight. The price is okay since it's often on sale, but it's just so, so drying. That's why I'm deducting two stars.

I was searching extensively for a sunscreen, and I'm so happy to have received a product with great ingredients and reviews! 😊 This is my first time as a Hwahae Tester, so I'm not sure if I can explain it well, but I'll try to write a detailed review. ✔️Skin type: Combination dehydrated, prone to dead skin cells, deep dryness, not sensitive 💜Brightening effect (not white cast) I've always used makeup bases, but after realizing the importance of sunscreen, I was looking for one that could brighten and replace my base! As you can see in the attached photo, it gives a very natural and pretty brightening effect. At first, I didn't even realize it had brightened my skin because it was so natural! (It's not as dramatic as in the photo, just a slight enhancement) 💜No shine I had developed a negative bias against sunscreens due to many oily ones. They felt sticky, and my makeup would come off quickly. But this one feels fresh! When first applied, it's moisturizing, so makeup adheres well (though it does dry out over time) 💜Long-lasting I'm quite particular about hygiene when applying makeup, so I wash my hands after skincare, then after sunscreen, and before foundation. Other sunscreens would come off easily when washing hands, but this product feels like it really coats the skin - it's amazing! It doesn't wash off easily with sweat or water, so it definitely has good staying power. 💜Packaging It's the most basic tube packaging, but the size is perfect for carrying around!
Cons💔Heaviness I used to avoid wearing sunscreen except during high-activity days because I disliked the typical heaviness of sunscreens. I occasionally used Etude's UV Double Cut because it felt light and unnoticeable, but this product feels quite heavy, like I'm wearing thick makeup. Brightening sunscreens generally feel heavier than basic ones (though this is average among brightening sunscreens) 💔Deep dryness As I have combination dehydrated skin, I usually apply a solid skincare base before makeup, but when I use only this, I feel some deep dryness. I guess it's not a very hydrating sunscreen. 💔Poor compatibility with foundation This is the biggest drawback. I rarely go without makeup, so compatibility with foundation is really important to me, but this doesn't wear well. I've been using VDL foundation because it wears beautifully, but when used with this sunscreen, it slightly clumps around the nose area and tends to wear off unevenly in certain spots. However, this might vary depending on the foundation you use!
TipIf you have combination dehydrated skin, you definitely need to pay attention to your base skincare!! When I first applied it using my usual skincare routine, it felt heavy and dry, and I was irritated all day. It worked perfectly for me when I used a very light cream (Dr.G Fluid).

I also tend to get acne on my chin, temples, or cheeks during certain times. I've always preferred hybrid sunscreens, but even when searching for ones with good ingredients, there was always something that didn't agree with my skin. After much deliberation, I decided to try this mineral sunscreen. The ingredients are all great for my skin, with nothing that doesn't suit me. It feels moisturizing when applied and doesn't pill. It adheres well to the skin without any residue or white cast. I've been using it for over 10 days now, and I haven't experienced any small bumps or redness.
Cons1. There's a strange smell right after application, but it disappears over time. 2. My skin feels tight after applying it. Usually, especially now that the weather is warmer, I don't feel dry even when I only use a serum without emulsion or cream. However, when I apply this sunscreen on top, my skin feels tight. I think it might be better to apply something with a bit of oil before using this sunscreen.

That's why I'm pouring my heart and soul into this review. (For those who want a quick read, just check out the starred sections below!) 🎃 Skin Type: I have a darker complexion (between shades 23-24). With consistent care, my skin has gone from oily to nearly balanced. I used to have extremely sensitive skin, but nowadays it's not sensitive at all! 🎃 Skin Characteristics: My skin tends to become very sensitive when my environment changes. ★ Packaging The container has a click-open lid rather than a screw-top, and there's no excessive packaging! I personally find screw-tops inconvenient, so I love this. The compact size makes it easy to carry in a small bag or cosmetic pouch. ★ Ingredients The ingredients are undoubtedly skin-friendly! ★ Scent I personally love the subtle floral scent! I'm not a fan of overpowering fragrances, so this sunscreen's delicate floral aroma is perfect for me. Note: Scent preferences can vary greatly, so please keep this in mind. ★ White Cast (See photos) Initially, there's a natural tone-up effect. The white cast gradually fades over time, becoming barely noticeable and not bothersome. (It's slightly more noticeable in person than in the photos!) Note: Some reviewers mention no white cast at all! ★ Finish: Glowy? Semi-matte? Matte? It's perfectly semi-matte. At first, it looks dewy, but it quickly settles into a semi-matte finish. ★ Application The application is fantastic! It doesn't feel thick or heavy at all - it's like applying a super moisturizing emulsion! ★ Stickiness I didn't feel any stickiness at all. My skin didn't feel uncomfortable or suffocated. ★ Transfer None at all! ★ Oiliness There's hardly any oily feeling. While it might look slightly oily on the back of your hand, when applied to the face, it feels almost oil-free! ★ Staying Power The staying power is absolutely top-notch! It doesn't budge no matter what you do. Perfect for the peak of summer heat! Note: Even after walking and running for 3 hours on a hot summer evening without a break, it didn't come off!
Cons★ Deep Dryness Depending on Skincare Routine Depending on your base skincare routine, you might experience some deep dryness. Make sure to do a thorough skincare routine! ★ Lid I'm not sure if it's just mine, but the lid doesn't close completely. Even when I press it firmly, it doesn't seal fully. You can see in the last photo - that's as closed as it gets. While it hasn't leaked when I've carried it around, it makes me a bit anxious. (((((((Additional content 22.12.19 After using it extensively, I've noticed it develops a significant white cast. At first, it feels like it's just giving a slight tone-up effect, so you might think, 'Oh, not much white cast!' But it gradually becomes very white. I mean VERY white. Check your mirror about 30 minutes to an hour after application (don't look in between). You'll see a tremendous white cast. If you check intermittently, your eyes might get used to it... Be very careful. Except for the peak of summer, it leaves a significant white cast in cooler summer and fall weather.
Tip✨Do a thorough skincare routine! ((If your skin feels dry, this is absolutely essential!

As it's my first experience, I'd like to say something positive, but honestly, my experience wasn't great, so I'll have to be candid... I was happy to win the event. If there's one good thing about the product, it's that unlike many mineral sunscreens that leave a white cast, this one doesn't - that's about it.
Cons1. My skin felt quite irritated - I'm not sure if it's because I have sensitive skin. The sensation wasn't constant, but it was surprising to feel a tingling even after applying toner and emulsion. 💥I'd like to update this: The irritation lessened a bit when I changed my cleansing soap. 2. It makes my skin feel extremely dry. It gives a parched feeling. When I touch my skin, it doesn't actually feel cracked or anything, but the sensation is that there's no moisture at all. So I tried applying cream on top or mixing it with cream. While it didn't directly cause severe blemishes, the overall experience makes it difficult to continue using.
TipPreviously, I disliked the characteristic heaviness of mineral sunscreens, so I switched to chemical ones. This is my second time trying a different mineral sunscreen, but I think I'll avoid mineral sunscreens in the future... It's disappointing.

Even though I have sensitive eyes prone to irritation, this doesn't bother them at all. After applying, it naturally evens out my skin tone over time.
ConsIt causes some deep dryness and can be quite dehydrating. If you don't blend it well, it leaves a white cast. There's some pilling, and the amount you get is a bit small.
TipWhen I'm not wearing makeup, I apply a different moisturizing sunscreen all over, then use this one sparingly, like a highlighter, just on the oily parts of my T-zone. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and matte.
