I was looking for a natural brown color and this delivered exactly what I wanted - I'm so satisfied! There's not much to complain about, and I didn't experience any irritation. However, it did cause quite a bit of damage to my hair. - ha*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 18, 2023
As someone with a deep undertone, I've been rocking brown hair for a while now. Getting it done at the salon every time was burning a hole in my pocket, so I decided to try coloring at home. This foam applicator is absolutely fantastic! I picked it up at Olive Young and it's super convenient to use. Usually, you're supposed to start coloring from the ends and do the roots last, but since I'm only touching up my roots, I deliberately start there. The downside is some damage to my hair... can't avoid that. The color turns out beautifully, though it doesn't cover grays very well. Due to the bleaching ingredients, leaving it on too long can make your scalp tingle. For just root touch-ups, it's a bit wasteful as you can't use up the whole bottle. It doesn't do a great job covering gray hairs. - dl*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedAug 16, 2023
The bubble formula makes it convenient for at-home coloring, and the kit comes with all the necessary components. I use it 2-3 times a year. I usually go for brown, dark brown, or black shades, and the colors turn out beautiful and seem to last quite a while. As time passes after applying the dye, it tends to drip and needs to be wiped off. Hair damage from coloring seems unavoidable. It's disappointing that they don't offer a root touch-up version. The treatment that used to be included is no longer there, and now it only comes with plastic covers and gloves to prevent staining clothes. Before applying the dye, put some Vaseline on your forehead and around your ears. After coloring, rinse with cold water and thoroughly dry your hair with a blow dryer. - ro*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticitySep 22, 2022
It doesn't damage my hair as much as before... Though that might mean the color doesn't last as long. 6N Chocolate Brown It wasn't the chocolate brown I had in mind. I've always dyed my hair to levels 8-9, but this time I wanted to go darker and bought level 6. However, it didn't darken as expected. Instead, it turned out to be a yellowish, bright brown with more redness than I anticipated. It made my face look sallow... The damage isn't minimal enough to make me consider repurchasing either... Looking at Olive Young reviews, people say the 5N Dark Ash fades to brassy tones in just 4 days, and the 3N Dark Chocolate is described as more of a purple-red brown. If I had bought 3N and ended up with purple-red brown, I would've given it 1 star. I'm giving it 2 stars just because I didn't experience any scalp blemishes or inflammation after use. I can't say there's no smell or irritation though. - kp******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 27, 2022
The scent wasn't overpowering, and the application process was so simple that I could easily do it by myself! Since my hair was naturally black and hadn't been dyed before, I deliberately left it on for about 40 minutes to give it some extra time. I didn't expect it to turn out very light, but I'm really satisfied with how well it came out - better than I anticipated! The color is absolutely beautiful, and the whole process was easy and convenient. Inevitably, when dyeing your hair, the product can get on your skin, especially around the nape of your neck and ears. I felt a slight itching and tingling sensation in those areas. Of course, hair dye isn't particularly good for the skin in general. There was also a bit of irritation on my scalp, but it subsided after a few days! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2022
It really improved my hair texture. The styling set is great! For dark hair, the color doesn't lighten easily, so you need to bleach it multiple times. - co********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2021
I've been using Hello Bubble Dark Brown for my hair coloring, but due to frequent brown dye applications, I decided to try Dark Choco to eliminate the yellow undertones. I always trust Mise-en-Scene hair products, so I confidently purchased this hair color as well. The standout feature of Mise-en-Scene Hello Bubble Choco Brown is that it causes minimal damage to hair texture, with only slight color fading. The damage is so minimal that you don't even need to use a separate treatment. Plus, it doesn't leave that patchy look often associated with at-home hair coloring. In the past, when I used other brands for DIY coloring, the results were always uneven, which was noticeable during salon visits. Since switching to this bubble hair color, the patchiness has significantly reduced, leaving me extremely satisfied. However, be aware that there might be some color run-off when rinsing your hair, so it's advisable to use dark-colored towels. I recommend using dark towels for about a week after coloring. - ne******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2021
1. It's budget-friendly. Often on sale both online and in-store at places like Lalavla and Olive Young. 2. Easy to use by yourself. 3. The quantity is generous - enough to cover down to just below the collarbone. For medium-thick hair, one bottle with some leftover. 4. The color is beautiful - turns out brighter than expected. You can definitely feel the damage it does to your hair. The color fades quickly too. - wk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 12, 2021
This is my go-to for at-home hair coloring. It transforms my naturally black hair into a beautiful, natural-looking brown. Thanks to this product, I haven't needed to visit a salon for hair coloring in ages. I've been using it consistently for about two years now. I have no complaints. I'm completely satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it. In winter, you'll need to apply some heat with a hairdryer to get the best color results. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 3, 2021
While results may vary, I didn't notice much damage to my hair. The squeeze bottle design made it super convenient for DIY coloring. The color turned out great too - thumbs up! Hmm... nothing specific, but the color fades rather quickly... (Though that might be because I wash my hair frequently)
