I use this as a base. The color is beautiful and it has great staying power. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells, so you need to be diligent with exfoliation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2021
It adheres well without staining and the color payoff is excellent. It's a bit sticky, so it can transfer onto masks. This shade is recommended for those with what's commonly referred to as a light undertone. If you're concerned about dry, flaky lips, this might not emphasize that issue as much. For those who find the stickiness bothersome, you could try mixing it with a crayon-type lip product for a different texture. - mi******Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 25, 2020
First photo is from the Lalavla store - note the yellow lighting. The second photo shows the color in natural indoor light, but I've added Ruler Color to the center of my lips. I'll add more lip swatches soon! The second photo is closer to the true color. I've added more photos taken at night under indoor lighting. I tried to adjust them to show the color as accurately as possible. 4th photo: Before drying 5th photo: After drying It gets slightly darker as it dries - typical for lip inks. The faded swatch on the left is from a test 2 days ago that I didn't remove with oil cleansing! Light undertone | Best for: Grayish | Shade 22 (Espoir Petal) ■ Color ■ Absolutely amazing... perfect for me as grayish tones suit me best. I usually use Rom&nd Peg Canon, Pig Pig etc. which have quite vivid colors. But Revolutionary is a truly muted pink. It has a cool-toned nude lip vibe. It works well as a base, but I love wearing this unique muted pink on its own. I really hope summer cool-toned and muted skin types discover this shade! ■ Staying Power ■ Honestly, this line is known for its longevity. It may vary, but for me - I reach for this when I don't want to carry a lip product or bag. It comes off with oily foods, but stays put with drinks and light meals. My go-to for drinking - it never transfers to soju glasses! ■ Application & Texture ■ Feels moisturizing when first applied, then sets over time. It's the perfect liquid lip consistency. Easy to apply, but work quickly for even application. Personally, I find it looks best applied with a bullet brush. +Update: When applied heavily all over the lips, it can look patchy. A thin layer that lets your natural lip color show through looks prettiest. Darker shades like Ruler or Voyager don't have this issue, it's unique to this lighter shade. ■ Scent ■ Just chocolate... artificial, with hints of cough syrup ■ Packaging ■ Feels a bit bulky in small makeup bags. But I rarely touch up, so it's fine. The square shape makes it feel substantial. ■ Price ■ Seems reasonable to me. ● Ingredients: I haven't had any issues so far, but I'm not particularly sensitive. +Update: After wearing it all day, my lips do feel a bit drier than in the morning when I remove it. ● Emphasizes Flakes: Unavoidable with matte formulas... ● Stickiness: Applying some powder helps, but removing all stickiness can make lips feel dry and flaky. ● Applicator: The product keeps oozing out of the applicator like cheese - it's surprising! For those struggling to apply this: Just apply a thin layer in one go. Don't try to build it up with multiple dabs - that makes it look strange. Apply boldly in one swipe, then blend with a bullet brush. This prevents patchiness, allows for nice smudging, and keeps it from transferring to your fingers. Personally, I find cotton swabs less effective - brushes work better for me to prevent clumping. If I had to guess, this might work even better for those with lagom (moderate) undertones. As someone who looks best in grayish tones, this gives me a natural, bare-lips makeup look that's very close to my actual lip color.
