The shade is absolutely gorgeous. Apply it heavily for fall and winter, or lightly for year-round wear. It looks truly amazing when applied as a gradient! There's a bit of staining effect. And it's not another pink lipstick in disguise! True to its name, you can see the powdery particles, but when you blend it, it spreads evenly and absorbs beautifully into the lips.
ConsThe staying power is a bit weak, and the applicator tip is inconvenient. This is its biggest drawback... it's not easy to control the amount of product. The rounded end tends to dispense too much product in one spot. With other products, you can just wipe back and forth to adjust the amount, but with this rounded tip, you have to rotate it in all directions to remove excess. I understand the tip is designed to fit the lip contour, but if you don't remove enough product, it clumps on the inner part of the lips. If you're not careful about the amount, it can become unintentionally intense - a full, deep lip color you might not have planned for.
TipMake sure to remove excess product, spread it evenly on your lips, and blend with your fingers. It truly makes your lips look beautiful! Even for a full lip look, you should always blend with your fingers to smooth out any powdery clumps. Personally, I apply this lip tint in the morning, and use MAC Powder Kiss Lipstick for touch-ups later (no need to blend the MAC lipstick with fingers). Both are in the shade Chili, so the colors match well, allowing me to alternate between the two.
