This would be great for those with muted skin tones. The color is pleasantly versatile and pretty. The staying power is... a bit disappointing, I'm afraid! It's good for muted skin tones. My complexion is a bit tricky, so I use Date Maker. However, it does come out in rather large clumps. - jm******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedNov 10, 2024
A must-try for nude lovers! The signature Powder Kiss texture is incredibly smooth. Personally, I found the staying power to be quite decent. The color and texture are perfect for layering all over. The case seems to have some quality issues... There are quite a few comments about the packaging in the reviews. For a beautiful, long-lasting application, try using a slightly fluffy brush, similar to an eyeshadow brush. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 6, 2023
< Shade 25 Winter Dark with light undertone, for those with reddish skin > 1. The application is truly outstanding. It's a velvet matte formula, but it's absolutely phenomenal. Without emphasizing any dead skin cells, it envelops your lips softly, like a chocolate mousse. It feels as if my lips have transformed into a chiffon cake. 1. The color was a complete mismatch for me... It's a warm-toned shade. If it were just warm with a hint of pink, it might have been okay, but the color itself seems more suitable for those with fair skin. When I applied it, it looked like I had no lips at all. As if they had completely blended into my skin...! 2. There's a chocolate scent, but it's not your typical chocolate fragrance. It's more like the aroma of a chocolate-flavored protein shake.. haha. Gym enthusiasts might love this. 3. The staying power is neither particularly bad nor good. When first applied, it feels silky smooth without emphasizing any dead skin cells, but after a few hours, you start to see wrinkles and the lips absorb the product. Touch-ups are definitely necessary! The issue is that if you keep reapplying, your makeup starts to look heavy. You need to remove it and reapply for the best results. I'd recommend this to those with fair skin and a deep undertone who want a bright look, or those with darker skin and a deep undertone looking for a subdued appearance. The formula itself is so refined that even those with very dry, flaky lips will be extremely satisfied. The color was such a mismatch for me that I ended up using it as a base and blending a magenta eyeshadow over it. This created a beautifully muted, dark neutral plum shade that I wore for a while... until I realized how poor the staying power truly was. I ended up selling it to my sister for 3000 won. In conclusion, while I won't repurchase this shade, I'm definitely eager to try other colors in this product line. - si******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 10, 2023
The color is absolutely gorgeous! It's one of those shades that would suit everyone, regardless of warm or cool undertones. The application is just okay, but the staying power isn't great. It transfers easily too. Considering the price point, it's really a bit disappointing. - pu********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2023
This base is absolutely fantastic! It's also perfect for the trendy overlining look these days. The color payoff is excellent, as expected from MAC, and it doesn't dry out my lips at all. I haven't found any downsides yet. The only thing is that the price keeps creeping up sneakily... but other than that, it's pretty great. - wo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 7, 2023
A base lip color that transcends the warm-cool debate, so beautiful it's perfect on its own The peanut-shaped applicator makes the opening messy, and it's tricky to control the amount when applying to lips - co********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 5, 2022
It's fantastic as a lip base! At first, the color seemed intense, but when you smudge it, it beautifully covers any lip discoloration while providing a natural tint. It's perfect for layering with other MAC liquid point colors. Since I don't typically prefer matte formulas, I don't reach for it often. However, when I'm in the mood for a matte gradient lip look, this is absolutely the best choice. - gi*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 30, 2022
It lives up to its 'Date Maker' name. Somehow it gives the feeling of making your lips look plumper and prettier..? The scent. And the price is a bit steep compared to its performance. - be********Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 24, 2022
I wanted to start my department store lipstick journey with MAC, so after some deliberation, I decided to purchase this! At first, I was worried the color might be too deep, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how versatile it is - it works wonderfully as a base or on its own. While Mulling It Over is famous for being pretty, this Date Maker is truly a hidden gem! It does tend to transfer a bit, but pressing your lips with a tissue after application seems to help. Also, the applicator tip makes it somewhat difficult to control the amount of product, which can be a bit inconvenient. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2022
I decided to try out MAC's Powder Kiss Liquid lipstick. What I loved about it is its sophisticated beige nude shade that works well for both cool and warm skin tones. While it complements all complexions, I think it's particularly flattering on muted and light skin tones. The downside is that if you're looking for a long-lasting stain, you might be disappointed. It tends to transfer easily, so you'll need to touch up your makeup frequently throughout the day.
