First off, I'm really satisfied that it's neither too dark nor too light - it's just right! I love that it's a yellow-beige tone cushion without any grayish or reddish undertones. The puff that comes with it feels nice and firm too. Recently, I had a professional skin consultation, and the specialist complimented me on using a product that matches my complexion so well. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who finds the typical #23 shades sold in stores too light! As time passes, it does start to feel a bit oily, and it tends to transfer quite a bit when wearing a mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 18, 2023
It was decent and pretty good overall. I tried switching to ESPOIR after using other brands, and I was fairly satisfied with it. The disappointing part was that it tended to pill a bit when applying. It was quite noticeable when I put powder on top. It does get better after some time, but it's not like I can wait around after applying it before going out... - da********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 11, 2022
The color itself is so pretty and natural-looking. It's also great value for money. If you have dry skin, you might experience some dead skin cells becoming more noticeable or a slightly uneven application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2022
As someone with a lot of acne scars, I was impressed by how well this covered them. I've always struggled to find cushions that match my darker complexion, so I was thrilled that this shade was a perfect fit for me. I have dry skin, and even with a thorough skincare routine beforehand, the matte nature of this cushion still made it look a bit patchy on me. This is something to keep in mind when considering a purchase. - km*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2021
Shade 25? It's neither too light nor too dark! Color: It's about 0.3 shades darker than typical Hera or Laneige foundations, but about 0.5 shades lighter than the B-ready products often used by men. Texture: This semi-matte cushion offers a universally pleasant experience regardless of skin type or season! Reasonable price: It's not overly expensive, and when you catch it on sale online, you can snag it for just over $20, including a refill, which is a great deal. Overall, it's a solid choice in every aspect. The thin formula makes it perfect for makeup beginners too! Flimsy cushion case: This really frustrated me... The lid of the flimsy cushion case broke even before I had the chance to use up the product and switch to the refill. (It's not like anyone would intentionally break the lid, right?) Pore-clogging: This seems to be a common issue with standard drugstore cushions. Especially around the nose area, it tends to settle into pores no matter how well you prep your skin. Using a primer beforehand might help! There's a slight darkening effect, so ladies, you probably don't need to go any lower than shade 23 in most cases! - jo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 7, 2021
It has a semi-matte finish but doesn't feel dry. The look isn't overly powdery or shiny, but rather perfectly smooth and just the right level of matte - it's spot on! If there were a slightly darker shade than tan available, it would be more suitable for men to use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedMay 18, 2021
1. It absorbs well and has a lightweight texture. 2. Even when it fades, it does so evenly, making touch-ups easy. 3. It doesn't cause darkening of the skin. 1. For a semi-matte cushion, the coverage is relatively low. 2. Despite being a semi-matte cushion, it leans more towards a glowy finish than a matte one. 1. Hera Black Cushion in shade 25 (Amber) has a pink base, while Espoir Tan has a yellow base. 2. Even considering the difference in base colors, Tan appears lighter compared to Amber. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 12, 2020
It was just okay. It provides decent skin coverage, concealment, and adherence. 'Satisfactory' would be the right word. The shade was also suitable. It seems to contain less product compared to other cushions... Or is it just me? Since it requires careful control of the amount used, beginners might find it challenging to use this cushion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
It offers great coverage while keeping the skin moisturized, allowing for a glowing finish It tends to transfer quite easily, and you need to touch up if you accidentally brush against it, which can be inconvenient - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJul 18, 2020
The coverage isn't bad at all. The best part? With shade 24, I can create a look that gives my skin a subtle radiance. It breaks down terribly... I've been using department store foundations for a while and tried this cushion because I ran out. The difference in how it wears is shocking. My skin reacts badly when I use this alone - I was unsure at first, but it turns out this product is definitely the culprit. The darkening effect is extreme! I applied it to my wrist, took a nap for a few hours, and woke up to find it had darkened more than my skin tone. I was so surprised that I reapplied it next to the original swatch, and it was over a shade darker. Wow, I haven't experienced anything like this since the BB creams I used in middle and high school. It's truly shocking. I knew about the darkening but used it for touch-ups anyway. Now that I know it's causing my skin to react, I don't think I'll ever use Espoir foundations again. Pro tip: If you have sensitive skin, it's best to avoid this product.
