I was amazed by how transparent it was, just like an ampoule. After cleansing, my skin feels incredibly hydrated. I don't think this product suits me... I used it once in the evening, and when I woke up the next day, I had several blemishes on my left cheek that felt like contact dermatitis. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 23, 2023
There's nothing positive to say... I only used it once and stopped because it caused more blemishes My skin reacted badly right after using it, causing me a lot of trouble... I don't think I'll ever be able to use it again - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 15, 2023
My skin feels so hydrated after using this. Even though it's fall and the air is quite dry, I didn't experience any dryness. It lathers up nicely, allowing for a gentle cleanse without any friction-induced irritation. Unfortunately, the ingredients didn't seem to agree with my skin. I developed what looked like a rash. I don't have super sensitive skin and have never had this reaction to a cleanser before, which is disappointing. However, if the ingredients work for you, it might be a good option. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2023
As someone struggling with dermatitis, I had high hopes for this product since its ingredients don't include any concerning elements (no dead skin cell exfoliants). When dampened with warm water, it produces a rich lather and its cleansing effectiveness isn't on the weak side. For a gel cleanser, it's surprisingly drying. I bought a trouble cleanser to use alongside it, but unexpectedly, this one leaves my skin feeling even more parched. Also, when I apply this cleanser to my face, it causes a slight itching sensation. I wonder which ingredient is responsible for that... It lathers up even better when used with warm water - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 9, 2022
Oh my... My skin's acting up, so I'm not sure what's good for it anymore Sigh... I used it at lunch, and when I checked in the early morning, my skin had these little bumps - not sure if it's sebum or inflammation or what - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 13, 2022
I'm not sure if it's just not suitable for dry skin or if the low pH doesn't agree with me, but my eyes are stinging so badly and there's an intense burning sensation. It honestly feels like my eyelids are on fire! I usually can use just about any skincare product without issues, but this morning, after applying my skincare routine, the area around my eyes suddenly became extremely irritated. I could feel the burning sensation too. At first, I thought it was the birch moisturizing sunscreen causing the problem. However, when I felt the stinging again in the evening after cleansing, I realized it was actually the cleanser that didn't suit my skin. Everyone's skin type is different, so please make sure to patch test! I'm still struggling with this burning sensation on my eyelids. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 2, 2022
Absolutely nothing. My skin completely freaked out. There's not a single positive thing to say. It didn't even leave my skin feeling clean. After using this just once, my skin turned red, I had a massive breakout of blemishes, and my skin went haywire. Now I'm desperately using soothing masks. Give me back my healthy skin! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 9, 2022
It has a gentle feel and lathers up nicely. The quantity is also sufficient. Unfortunately, it seems to have irritated my skin and caused blemishes. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJan 3, 2022
For combination dehydrated skin, there's minimal deep dryness after cleansing! It doesn't produce a lot of foam, which makes it feel gentler on the skin. Two days after using it, I developed blemishes on my forehead. While I can't say for certain it was because of this product, it's the only skincare item I changed during that time. I'm quite upset as my skin was clear before, but now it's all bumpy. Since its cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong, I recommend using it as a second cleanser in your routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 20, 2021
My skin reacted badly to this (not the product's fault, I think I'm sensitive to one of the ingredients). Before I dive into the review, ☆☆☆ for first-time buyers of low pH cleansers ☆☆☆ Please check out the tips below. ■ Low pH Foam Cleansers Roundup ■ ☆ Low pH cleansers I've tried ☆ SNature Blanche Cleanser, Round Lab Dokdo Foam Cleanser, Mung Bean Foam Cleanser, Klairs Dr. Lacto Soothing Gel Foam Cleanser, Innisfree, Make P:rem, Birch Juice, Cellmazing Centella My recommendations for similar skin types... (My personal ranking...!) Mung Bean >>>> Blanche >>> Make P:rem > Dokdo >> Dr. Lacto > Centella > Birch Juice > Innisfree * Honestly, when I first used Mung Bean, I thought, 'Why is this #1? It's just expensive and not even cooling.' But it was the only one that didn't cause blemishes. Gel types always give me acne. So I tried Dokdo, but that caused acne too. Then I used Birch Juice that I had, and my forehead and cheeks went crazy ㅠ I have super sensitive skin, but with Mung Bean, I didn't break out. I've tried them all briefly, but after Mung Bean, Blanche is gentle and great value for money. <Detailed Comparison by Cleanser> 1. Felt irritating: Mung Bean > Blanche >> Dokdo >>> Centella 2. Type - Cream: Mung Bean, Dokdo, Make P:rem / - Gel: The rest 3. Only one that makes a squeaky clean sound after use: Birch Juice 4. Cooling sensation after use... hmm... none. If any, Mung Bean and Blanche 5. Foam amount New Mung Bean > Blanche >> Dokdo (rich foam) >>> Dr. Lacto >> Centella >>> Birch Juice >>>>>> Innisfree line 6. Residue (how quickly the slippery feeling rinses off) Birch Juice rinses off fastest and feels squeaky clean. But feels uncomfortable after use. Birch Juice < Mung Bean < Blanche < Dokdo < Make P:rem << Dr. Lacto <<< Innisfree < Centella (takes long to rinse, slippery till the end) 7. Post-use hydration (pleasant moistness..!) Blanche >> Mung Bean >> Centella > Dr. Lacto > Dokdo > Innisfree > Birch Juice They're all so-so, but Blanche is really hydrating ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ My skin freaked out, please fix it ㅠ Seems like I got dermatitis... Mung Bean is the best. First off, this product is also a ☆low pH foam cleanser☆ Personally, products with oils and gel types don't seem to suit me, they sometimes make me itchy. This time was no exception ㅎ After my skin reacted badly, I thought foam cleansers were irritating, so I bought a low pH one. My first purchase was Torien Cellmazing Centella Foam Cleanser -> It didn't suit me, so I gave it to a friend..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ(see my review) @Compared to other low pH cleansers..foam & rinsing? See above. Barely foams, almost no refreshing feeling on skin, uniquely among low pH cleansers the slippery feeling disappears quickly. Makes a squeaky clean sound (doesn't seem good) @Effectiveness Zero ㅎ @My skin type Slightly oily T-zone, cheeks with no oil or moisture, very dehydrated combination skin, sensitive, acne-prone, hardly anything suits me. @Product texture Slightly viscous, soft gel type @Cleansing power Doesn't seem to remove makeup well. Not great. @Scent Unscented @Photos 5th day of use. Skin getting worse. No acne on forehead before. Itchy since starting use. Acne explosion.. Planning to stop using today @Recommended/Not recommended skin types Not for those who don't suit oil ingredients Not for dry skin Not for oily skin either. Maybe for combination dehydrated skin. Just not recommended.. @Overall Lower tier among low pH cleansers @Repurchase intention × Why bother? Better to use other good ones. ☆☆For first-time buyers of low pH cleansers☆☆ (others can skip) Those used to squeaky clean (alkaline) foam cleansers might find it hard to adapt. If your skin isn't particularly bad from using alkaline products, I recommend sticking to what you've been using. Especially not recommended for oily skin, only those with combination dehydrated or dry skin should carefully consider and choose. Are low pH cleansers gentler? More hydrating? ㅎㅎ They are gentler, but personally, rather than feeling hydrated, I feel like something's left on my skin? It's true that the cleansing power is weaker.. Compared to alkaline products, you can't dramatically feel the difference in skin redness after washing. I think the post-cleansing skin condition probably depends on the combination with your basic skincare products. If you use a low pH gel type, I recommend using a water-based toner that's low in oil and can provide hydration. ☆☆☆☆Mung Bean is the best☆☆☆☆
