Applying multiple layers gives a nice hydrated feel.
ConsThere was a slight tingling sensation at first, but it became fine after my skin adjusted.

The packaging was also clean and sleek, which was nice.
ConsThe chemical smell is overwhelmingly strong. While using it, my skin felt irritated, and I thought I was going to die when my face completely broke out. I'm not sure if the product is too harsh or what, but around the fifth day, my face became swollen and red. It stings when touched... my mother thought I'd been hit. I absolutely do not recommend this for people with combination skin. I seriously thought I was dying, and it took a month to recover.

I never really cared much about skincare before my breakouts (I was only interested in makeup and used just one moisturizer year-round!). It turns out this unfamiliar brand is actually quite famous in the natural cosmetics world! I switched all my basic skincare products to Sidmool, buying this along with the Aloe Essential. My acne flared up quickly, with severe redness and painful, pus-filled blemishes. Thanks to the tea tree ingredient in this product, it had a soothing effect and significantly reduced the redness! Being oily-skinned, I especially loved that it's a lightweight emulsion that doesn't feel greasy. I'd recommend it even to those with oily skin who are just looking for a good emulsion, even if they don't have acne. It applies smoothly with an emulsion-like consistency. The moisture to oil ratio is about 8:2, with just enough oil to prevent moisture evaporation.
ConsDue to the tea tree ingredient, those with sensitive or thin skin might feel more than just a mild cooling effect - some experience a burning sensation and tingling. I loved this product so much that I've been using it for 5 years and even gifted it to my acne-prone brother in the military. However, he said it was too irritating for him to use. If you're sensitive to herbal ingredients or have delicate skin, please be cautious.
TipI have very oily skin, to the point where oil builds up in my T-zone overnight after washing my face before bed. However, my cheeks and forehead tend to be quite dry. For those with combination skin like mine, using this alone might make certain areas feel tight! Since my acne breakout, my routine has been: cleansing > toner > aloe (+ argan oil) > Mild Emulsion. I only apply the Aloe Essential to my T-zone, and mix a drop or two of argan oil for my cheeks and forehead. This routine keeps my skin balanced even in winter, without any tightness in drier areas!

ConsAbout a week after I started using it, I developed small blemishes, and the skin around my eyes became flaky with dead skin cells. It also caused a tingling sensation. It just didn't work for me.

I recently purchased this product.
ConsI only used this product once, and my face immediately started burning and turned red. I also developed small bumps, so I had to stop using it. I think the tea tree ingredient didn't agree with me. Be careful, as tea tree can be harsh on sensitive skin. I had to stop using a tea tree cleanser for the same reason.

It's not so much that it prevents blemishes, but rather maintains the status quo. Provides very, very minimal hydration.
ConsThe moisturizing effect is almost non-existent. I applied it before going out, and my face feels quite irritated. I used it together with propolis (from Sidmool), and I developed acne. Now that I've stopped using the propolis, it seems like I'm not getting any new breakouts. To know if it's because of this product, I'd need to use it for about a month, but it's just too drying.

Might be suitable for oily skin types.
ConsAs someone with combination skin prone to inflammatory allergic reactions, this didn't work well for me... Some days it caused itching, breakouts, and a tingling sensation.

I guess skincare really is different for everyone! I'm 24 with sensitive, dehydrated skin that's prone to blemishes and irritation if I use products with poor ingredients or too much oil. My skin texture is generally good without major issues, but it feels incredibly dry - even worse than my 49-year-old mom's skin! When it gets really dehydrated, it feels tight and hot, and my makeup doesn't sit well. My nighttime routine is: cleansing toner, hydrating toner or fermented product, serum, then 2-3 thin layers of this emulsion, finished with a moisturizer. Even during harsh seasonal changes, my skin's been doing well - no itching or breakouts, which is crucial for me. Honestly, one layer alone isn't very hydrating, but if you pat in 2-3 thin layers, you can feel your skin becoming more comfortable. In the dead of winter, I mix in a drop of oil for the final layer, which gives amazing hydration. This product has even helped calm my skin when I've had breakouts. I'm really satisfied with it!
Cons1. If you're sensitive to natural oils or tea tree, or if you have cystic acne and extremely sensitive skin, you might experience some burning sensation. One of my friends with very sensitive, acne-prone skin found it didn't work for her. 2. If you're looking for instant, dramatic hydration, this might not be for you. Those are the only downsides for me personally. If you're looking for a Sidmool product with more immediate hydration, I'd recommend their Calendula Emulsion. I switched to this one because it helps with my pre-menstrual breakouts. The Calendula line feels more hydrating with fewer layers. (Though I should note, I've never found a product that feels super hydrating with just one application - especially among the ones with good ingredients. Products that give that instant hydrated feeling often don't work well for my skin in the long run, especially if they contain silicone - those make me want to scratch my face off!)
TipAs I mentioned, this is a lightweight product, so you'll see its true value if you apply multiple thin layers. One layer alone can feel a bit drying and tight, even for me. But because it's gentle and absorbs well, if you pat in 2-3 layers with your fingertips, that deep dryness really disappears and your skin feels much more comfortable. In winter, I mix in a drop or two of oil for the final layer, then seal it with a cream. The next morning, my skin feels completely different when I splash water on it. It also seems to help calm blemishes. Even with multiple layers in the morning, it doesn't cause makeup to pill (you know that infuriating feeling when your foundation starts rolling off no matter how well you've prepped? This doesn't do that - the texture is too light). I can't promise it'll keep you perfectly hydrated all day in the dead of winter, but considering how extremely dry my skin is - both deep down and on the surface - this is one of the few products I've been truly satisfied with out of the countless emulsions and skincare products I've tried. That's why I'm here typing away on my phone to share this! I hope this helps those considering buying it. The Hwahae app has been so useful for my sensitive skin that I wanted to give back by leaving a detailed review of a product I've used long-term. This isn't blind praise - I've really thought about all aspects of using it! (And yes, I know some might say anything would be hydrating if you apply it multiple times, but products that are just oily or full of silicone without real hydration just sit on top of the skin no matter how many times you apply. They clog pores, make skin greasy, and cause makeup to slide off. This one actually absorbs and hydrates with multiple layers!) That's been my experience using this product.

ConsIt's really harsh on dead skin cells and causes a tingling sensation... You seriously need to exfoliate first
