Cleansing effectiveness - Foundation: Needs two applications for thorough removal - Lipstick: Most types remove cleanly in one go, except for tints and highly glossy ones - Eyebrow products, mascara, eyeshadow: Removes well, even waterproof formulas come off in one application 2. Volume and packaging design - Grateful for the generous amount, as makeup remover is a staple - Unlike typical translucent bottles reminiscent of acetone, this one has a clear container that showcases the contents, giving it a clean look - Amusing observation: Before shaking vigorously, I can't help but gently swirl it like wine, watching the separated layers of water and oil. It's fascinating and pretty... I find myself mesmerized by the bubbles(?), constantly admiring the beautiful wave-like patterns 3. Fragrance-free I dislike scented makeup removers, whether strong or subtle This one has no scent - excellent 4. Ingredients No concerning ingredients, which I appreciate 5. Less oily residue than typical removers I really dislike the oily feeling left behind by most removers, but this one leaves minimal residue. A major plus for me
Cons1. Post-use whitening and dryness The skin becomes dry, leaving a stiff and flaky feeling when touched Deducting one star for this. I'd prefer to deduct only 0.5 stars given its many advantages, but that's not an option. So, 4.5 stars overall 2. Caution for those sensitive to citric acid This ingredient may cause irritation for some users 3. Oh no... Why is it so expensive?.... Just checked and had to update... There's a reason for its quality................ Need to use it sparingly........................... Don't use it too liberally............... It's pricey..... Another -0.5.... Final rating is 4 stars.......
Tip* I always follow up with a foaming cleanser after using makeup remover for a double cleanse. While it works fine for BB cream, foundation and mineral sunscreens require really thorough cleansing to remove completely, as you know. On days with heavy makeup, I use this routine: •Cleansing water - Makeup remover - Foam cleanser• * I didn't test it on eyeliner as I've just run out, but given how well it removes waterproof mascara in one go, I expect it would work well on liner too :) * Glitter eyeshadows don't come off completely in one application! Make sure to cleanse thoroughly~~~! * If you have extremely dry skin like mine, make sure to moisturize well afterwards :)
