I finally found a moisturizing sunscreen without any white cast, and it's exactly what I was looking for! It might feel a bit rich to some, but I actually loved that aspect since my skin tends to be very dehydrated. My first impression was really positive. The eye irritation was unbearable... I applied this before going to take my TOEIC exam, and I struggled because tears kept flowing. I'll have to look for a different sunscreen for my face and use this one for my body instead... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2019
It's quite rich, making it great for dry skin types. For combination skin, it's suitable for winter use. That's about the right level of moisture. My skin went haywire... My chin area was already irritated from using the wrong skincare, and applying this Blue Ray Sun Gel was like adding fuel to the fire. My entire face became covered in blemishes... I've never had to see a dermatologist for skin issues before, but now I'm seriously considering it. After applying the sun gel, even when I tried to cover it with a matte foundation due to its richness, my hair would stick to my face, and oil would surface on my nose, cheeks, and chin before noon... Now I'm too scared to use it again. It might be good for those with extremely dry skin... For those with oily or combination skin, just apply your toner, essence or serum as your base skincare, then follow with this sun gel. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 14, 2018
No white cast, applies smoothly, not sticky, doesn't cause makeup to pill, and has a pleasant scent. It's the most satisfying sunscreen I've used so far. As soon as I applied it around my eyes, I felt a stinging sensation. After finishing my makeup and going out, I found myself unknowingly tearing up from both eyes while walking. For those who don't experience eye irritation, this seems to be the best sunscreen in every aspect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 21, 2018
I loved how it applied smoothly and had a refreshing feel! It didn't seem to suit my face as my eyes would occasionally sting so much after use that I'd tear up. My face became excessively oily, and I unfortunately developed blemishes too. I use it on areas other than my face. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 24, 2018
It's light and not too oily. It feels like you're barely wearing anything. I switched from Biore sunscreen, and the absorption is similar. I thought all Make P:rem ingredients were good, but it really didn't suit me. My skin seriously flared up, with the outer layer peeling off and turning red. My makeup wouldn't stay on, and even foundation would disappear after a while. The cracked areas wouldn't even take foundation. It became incredibly irritating and dry, and applying cream would sting unbearably. Since I stopped using this sunscreen, things are improving, but the area around my mouth is still sensitive and irritated. It might not work for everyone, so please test it at Sephora or in-store before buying. Test it out first - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2018
The cooling effect is the only good thing. It feels refreshing when applied to the face. It causes severe skin blemishes... I developed milia, and my facial skin broke out badly. I even tried it on my arms, which resulted in rash-like severe blemishes and itching. After using it about four or five times, I'm planning to throw it away. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 8, 2018
The lightweight feel is great. It doesn't cause my makeup to pill, which is a plus. I'm diligently applying it to my neck and body. Unfortunately, it caused blemishes. I tried experimenting with small amounts, hoping it wouldn't, but alas! Why is my skin so super sensitive? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2018
I bought this sunscreen after seeing Director Pi's review, and since it didn't work for me, I decided to try this sun gel to see if it would be a better fit. 1. It applies smoothly 2. There doesn't seem to be any white cast 3. It's fairly hydrating 1. I immediately broke out with blemishes after using it. I don't usually get pus-filled acne, but this caused it to appear right away. It's really stressful. 2. My eyes sting and hurt. Shortly after applying, my eyes started to sting. It got better after I wiped the product off from around my eyes. 3. As time passes, my skin gets oilier and my complexion darkens. This doesn't usually happen to me, but after using this product, my skin tone looked darker in the evening. It was even darker than when I go bare-faced. 4. My closed comedones have reappeared. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 22, 2017
It just spread on smoothly and thinly. It also seems to absorb well. I applied this and went out, but my skin started getting really irritated....It seriously got red and blotchy on my face...I even applied it on my neck, and my neck got the same way...ㅠㅠ My skin type is oily, so it seems like it doesn't agree with oily skin..Not recommended for oily skin!!! From reading other reviews, a lot of people seem to have had the same experience as me where their face got really red. Try a sample before purchasing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2017
I received and used samples through Hwahae. The formula felt lightweight and pleasant when applied to the skin. There was also a cooling sensation when applied. After applying, my face felt extremely oily and started to burn and itch.
