The rich texture is perfect for those over 50. It's a bit sticky, so I wouldn't recommend using it during the day. It's probably best to avoid daytime application. It's great as a final step in your nighttime routine. Leaves your skin feeling hydrated and lovely. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 18, 2020
My melasma on the cheekbones was so severe that it made me look dull overall. It's even more noticeable in summer with strong sunlight. Initially, I heard that using the cream along with medication would be most effective, so I used both for 3 months starting November 2018. My case was quite severe, but after a month, I saw truly dramatic results. It was winter then, which helped. Since then, I've been using just the cream. If your melasma isn't just a few freckle-like spots, I think you'll see results. However, nothing beats consistency and proper care. For those worried about melasma, unless you're expecting porcelain-like, completely spot-free skin, I believe you can definitely see significant improvement. The scent isn't bothersome unless you're extremely sensitive to fragrances. While it doesn't cause blemishes, it's so rich and sticky that it makes your face really shiny. When you toss and turn at night, your hair can get stuck to it. Also, the instructions warn that Domina can have adverse effects when exposed to UV rays, so you must only apply it at night and wash it off first thing in the morning. Due to its thick consistency, in the peak of summer without air conditioning, I'd choose sleep over fighting melasma and skip using it. I think this product is highly recommendable. People say melasma intensity varies between spring and fall, but for me, it seems to darken more with stronger UV exposure. Summer > Spring/Fall > Winter. I saw better results from one tube of Domina than from a million-won treatment at a dermatology clinic. After all, melasma doesn't completely disappear, so this is a great option.
