Great ingredients 3. Smooth application 4. Minimal white cast 5. Non-drying - I found this product while searching for these seemingly impossible conditions. With positive reviews and safe for kids too, I decided to give it a try. First impression: Loved it! Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it wasn't drying thanks to the oil ingredients. It spread easily and smoothly. It does lighten your face, but rather than leaving a floating white cast, it brightens your complexion by about one shade. As my skin isn't particularly dark, this level of brightening felt natural and satisfying. Even though I don't have dry skin, mineral sunscreens alone usually leave my face dry and itchy, so I've been mixing organic and mineral ones. With this, I didn't feel any dryness after application.
ConsAs I continued using it, either due to improper storage or a product defect, it suddenly started separating inside. At first, I thought water had gotten in and tried to shake it out, but after that, water kept trickling out and the sunscreen came out in snail-poop-like spurts. I tried to remix what I thought was oil with the sunscreen by shaking and kneading the tube, but it only separated more. The initial smooth texture disappeared, leaving water and stiff sunscreen separate. But it wasn't just oil separation - when I applied the now-stiff sunscreen, it left an excessive oily feeling on my skin, leading to jokes about looking like a soccer player with too much sunscreen on. It's not suitable for keeping on the vanity as water drips out every time you use it, so you have to take it to the bathroom to apply.
