It absorbs well and applies without irritation, which is great for my dry, sensitive skin. It's lightweight and quickly absorbs when applied. Perfect for use before makeup. After application, it feels like it creates a protective layer to prevent moisture loss. When I wash my face in the morning, I can feel this smooth layer being rinsed off. It's ideal for summer use. You need to moisturize thoroughly before applying this. Using the ampoule alone can be drying. It's not enough on its own for dry skin. While it's good to use before makeup, it's insufficient for dry skin when the weather gets colder. Due to its excellent absorption, spread it quickly and evenly when applying. - k5********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 11, 2020
I have combination skin with a slightly oilier T-zone compared to other areas (though I'm not particularly oily overall). Usually, I'm not a fan of thick, moisturizing creams as they tend to sit on top of my skin and attract dust. However, this one is different! It has a lovely cooling effect and applies smoothly, fitting snugly onto my skin. I've been absolutely thrilled with it since my first use. As someone with sensitive skin who rarely changes products, I'm happy to report that this didn't cause any blemishes. I use this in my evening routine and pair it with a vitamin-enriched cream in the morning before makeup. To be honest, I can't think of any downsides. While everyone's experience may vary, I find that a little goes a long way. You don't need much to cover your entire face, so the product should last quite a while. My routine involves using a hydrating toner first, then layering this cream once by applying it to my hands. The result? My skin feels plump with the perfect balance of hydration and oil. The best part is that I've never woken up with that itchy, dry feeling since I started using this product! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 9, 2020
Application: I thought it would be a thin cream based on other review photos, but when I tried it, it was more of a balm-like texture. However, it's not a heavy balm, so I just took a small amount, warmed it up in my hands, and applied it in a rolling motion. Even though I have a larger face, a small amount created a thin moisturizing layer. Despite it being midsummer, it didn't feel overly greasy, but if you're expecting a typical light 'water fresh' moisturizer, this might feel a bit heavy. Hydration: Even with a thin layer of a very small amount, my face didn't feel tight later. My skin felt comfortably balanced - neither too dry nor too oily. Overall experience: Many people mention an intense cooling effect, but since I applied only a small amount, I didn't feel my face getting super cool. However, there was a slight refreshing or cool sensation after application. It definitely seems to help with reducing heat in the skin. My previous cream was Sidmool's Madagascar Real Moisture Cream, which had zero stickiness after application and a fresh finish with no surface shine. This one, however, gives a slight glow even when applied thinly, probably due to the moisturizing layer. It's not the kind of shine from product sitting on top, but more of a hydrated glow after absorption. It's not like a silicone film either. Maybe it's because of the shea butter... Anyway, it maintains a moisturized state for a long time. I was worried the glow might cause acne, but fortunately, it doesn't seem to trigger blemishes. Even though it maintains some oiliness, it seems to prevent breakouts, possibly due to its strong soothing effect and ability to reduce heat in the skin. And while my previous lighter cream caused a bit of deep dryness, this cream doesn't cause any tightness thanks to its hydrating properties. As it's a fresh cream, I expected a refreshing finish with long-lasting hydration. While there is a cooling sensation, it has a moisturizing finish that feels slightly like a cream for dry skin. However, it doesn't cause any blemishes for my combination dehydrated skin, so I continue to use it by melting a small amount and spreading it thinly. For those with combination dehydrated skin like me, I recommend using water-based products for maximum hydration before finishing with this cream to balance oil and moisture. This should create the perfect oil-water balance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 31, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to heat sensitivity and irritation, I've always struggled to find suitable skincare. Most products either trigger blemishes, fail to provide hydration, or feel too rich. However, I decided to try Bobbi Brown's Hydrating line, specifically their 100-hour moisture cream. It's surprisingly affordable for the brand and has great ingredients. The moment I applied it, I felt an incredible cooling sensation that instantly soothed my skin's heat. It's amazingly lightweight, yet I could feel the hydration being replenished right away. I've used it without any blemishes appearing, and for the first time, I've finished a cream with complete satisfaction. It's become my absolute essential! I can't think of any downsides, to be honest. The only thing is that I used it up quickly because I applied it morning and night, and even for touch-ups throughout the day. Here's a pro tip: Try applying it with a sponge - the cooling sensation feels absolutely invigorating! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJul 31, 2020
It's incredibly refreshing and perfect for calming summer-heated skin. I usually dislike applying products before bed, but this one leaves a nice glow while feeling lightweight. As someone with dry skin prone to milia, I was pleasantly surprised to find them reduced in the morning. Despite being oil-free, it provides long-lasting hydration when used consistently morning and night. It runs out quickly. I wish it came in a larger size. If you pat it into your skin thoroughly before bed, you'll wake up with truly radiant skin in the morning. - je********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 29, 2020
I always use Bobbi Brown Extra Line Moisturizer or Physiogel Cream, but they feel a bit heavy in summer. So I was looking for a lighter cream and tried this new release. First off, the cooling effect when applying is amazing. The sherbet-like texture that melts into the skin feels so healing every time I use it. The scent is lovely too. As someone with very sensitive combination skin prone to redness, I'm thrilled to see how well it calms my skin. The quantity is a bit disappointing... It would be great if they offered a larger size. Those with very dry skin might find it slightly drying, so it might be good to layer it with another cream or emulsion. - ar*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 27, 2020
My skin is a combo of psoriasis, eczema, dry cheeks, and an oily T-zone! It's so sensitive that finding the right product is like trying to thread a needle in the Sahara - nearly impossible! But this product? It's something else... Let me check off the good points: ✔️ Instant cooling sensation when applied - like it just came out of the fridge! ✔️ Gel-like texture that's light, but with staying power that puts other creams to shame ✔️ No pilling even when reapplied during the day under makeup ✔️ With all-day mask wearing, I've been dealing with pesky blemishes around my mouth and cheeks. But slathering this on before bed? Next morning, redness and itching? Gone! ✔️ The day after using this, my skin feels less oily and more soothed and soft I used the whole jar with satisfaction. It's rare for me to find a product this good! That's why I couldn't give it anything less than five stars, plus a little extra! ⚠️ It does run out quickly though... Maybe because I used it so generously. I saw results, so I kept slathering it on. Before I knew it, I'd gone through it in about three and a half months. It's such a shame when it's almost gone... ⚠️ Bobbi Brown, please make a larger size of this! If you come out with a 100ml version, I'll buy it in a heartbeat! ⚠️ This 'Hydrating' line seems to work well for soothing troubled or sensitive skin. Personally, I think it would be great if they came out with a blemish spot treatment in this line (by the way, their face cream from this line also worked well for me) When your skin is acting up, or when blemishes are threatening to appear, try this before bed: Apply a very thin layer two or three times, and don't forget your neck! It's like you've given yourself an all-over hydrating and soothing mask treatment. True to its name, you'll feel refreshed! - gy******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 20, 2020
I've tried various Bobbi Brown products, both skincare and makeup, and when I heard about their new cream, I decided to use it for about a month before leaving a review. When I used the existing Hydrating Face Cream, it was incredibly soft and, true to its name, provided great moisture and hydration. The Fresh Cream, however, has an even smoother application and definitely feels cooler and more refreshing compared to the Face Cream. Since I tend to have some redness and heat in my face, I found this more suitable for me. It feels nice and cool when applying, which is quite pleasant! As for absorption, it has a light and fresh gel texture, so it absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or suffocating. It doesn't have that typical thick, heavy cream feeling, which made me enjoy using it even more. I think this would be perfect for those who find applying cream in the morning bothersome and prefer something that absorbs quickly. There aren't many downsides, but if I had to pick one, I'd say the amount feels a bit small, which is a shame. The price seems reasonable compared to other Bobbi Brown skincare lines. These days, I'm quite sensitive to ingredients, so even a slight risk makes me hesitate to purchase. However, if you check, you'll see it has a low risk level, so unless you have extremely sensitive skin, it should be fine to use (I have sensitive, acne-prone skin myself). If you're worried about potentially risky ingredients but are considering buying it, I hope you'll read this review and give it a try! Personally, I recommend this as a morning cream. As I mentioned above, I tend to get redness and heat in my face, especially in the morning, which can make makeup application difficult. This cream is excellent for calming the skin. It's a top choice for soothing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2020
I was previously using a birch moisturizer, but lately, with wearing masks for long periods and the hot, humid weather, I started getting lots of tiny blemishes and my skin was acting up. That's when I tried this cream, and I felt the effects almost immediately, within just 3 days of use! First off, it has this amazing cooling effect when applied, giving a sense of soothing to the skin. It absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling plump and hydrated. While the birch moisturizer was similarly moisturizing, its hydration seemed to evaporate faster, requiring me to layer it twice. With this cream, however, one application keeps my skin hydrated for an incredibly long time. The next morning, I noticed my tiny blemishes had reduced and my skin looked calmer! Despite having super sensitive skin, this cream didn't cause any additional blemishes, suggesting it has pretty gentle ingredients (though I'm not an expert!). All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled with this as my summer moisturizer. The key points of this cream seem to be its hydration, skin-plumping effect, cooling sensation, and soothing properties. Honestly, I can't think of any downsides no matter how hard I try... Especially considering it's a Bobbi Brown cream, it's much more affordable than their Extra line. I'm completely satisfied with everything about it! On days when my skin has been through a lot and is extremely sensitive, applying this cream seems to noticeably calm it down by the next morning, even if not completely. Compared to the Extra line, it might not feel as rich in nourishment, so if you prefer a more nourishing feel, the Extra Moisture Cream might be better suited for you! However, I think the Water Fresh Cream has the upper hand when it comes to that plumping hydration. - sm******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2020
✨Honest review from my own purchase✨ As someone with sensitive, dehydrated skin prone to flaking and with a thin skin barrier, I tried this cream on a store associate's recommendation. And wow, it's worth the price! Usually I stick to drugstore brands, so trying a department store product made me wonder if pricier really means better. Anyway, here are the good points to consider when buying: 1. Application ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Spreads smoothly with a cooling effect, perfect for hot summer days with masks! It's not heavy, but not as light as a soothing gel... It's exactly like the translucent gel-cream you see. The cooling effect when applied is what I loved most... No other cream could cool down my skin, but this one is truly amazing. It's like someone put an ice pack on my skin! 2. Absorption ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐⭐️ - It absorbs quickly (with that cool feeling), but doesn't dry out the surface skin or leave it feeling parched. Instead, it has a skin-hugging effect that I love! My deep dryness was severe, but with this, I can maintain plump skin all day long. 3. Ingredients ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Though some say it has a few not-so-great ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes! It worked well for me despite my sensitive skin. It also contains soothing ingredients, so maybe they balance each other out? (Just a thought) I deducted one star because there are so many products with clean ingredients these days. 4. Hydration ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - They claim it's a 100-hour hydrating cream. I was skeptical, but after trying... While it might not last 100 hours, it did keep my skin hydrated all day! (I can't verify 100 hours since I can't go that long without cleansing) Still, for someone who works from morning to night, having non-dry skin with makeup that stays put says it all! 5. Packaging ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Department store cream perk: Comes with a spatula (for hygienic use) I prefer jars like this over tubes, which can get crusty around the opening. The matte design also doesn't show fingerprints. Overall: It suits my skin extremely well, and I plan to repurchase. The long-lasting moisture makes it unbeatable as a pre-makeup moisturizer. Highly recommend for those with thin skin prone to heat. Great value for money. This cream calmed my angry skin. Rating: 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ The downside? It runs out quickly. I love it so much that I slather it on like a mask after washing my face, so it gets used up fast. As for the price... I was okay with it. It's great to use at night before bed, but try applying it in the morning before makeup. It smooths out skin texture better than most makeup primers, leaving your skin looking super soft and velvety. If you're diligent enough to carry a small container, try gently massaging it onto areas with dead skin cells. It'll remove makeup while hydrating, allowing for easy touch-ups. It really lives up to its price tag. Last tip: When applying the cream, massage along your skin's texture, then pat it in. This enhances the cooling effect, perfect for skin that tends to get hot.
