I switched from Estée Lauder to this. At first, I felt it set too quickly, causing clumping, and I wasn't sure how to apply it. But once I got used to it, it's fantastic! It applies so thinly and finishes with a powder-like feel without needing additional powder. It barely transfers to my mask too! Not many people seem to be using it yet, but I hope it doesn't get discontinued. The tube packaging is hygienic and convenient to carry around. The longevity is top-notch - even when it fades, it does so gracefully. No darkening either. As time passes, it gives the most natural skin-like finish... For reference, I have combination-oily skin with large pores in the T-zone. This has dethroned Estée Lauder as my holy grail foundation!
ConsThe coverage isn't great. Compared to Estée Lauder, it's more like an overall tone correction. However, with mask-wearing, I prefer this type that fades cleanly rather than breaking down messily. It finishes very thin and matte, so I wouldn't recommend it to those who prioritize coverage.
TipAbsolutely avoid using a damp beauty sponge. It causes major pilling! I found that applying with fingers also led to clumping due to the powder in the formula. After trying various methods, I discovered that using a dry wedge sponge to swipe and pat it on works best for a smooth application.

I was hesitant to buy it since it's new and there weren't many reviews, but I'm beyond satisfied! I have a yellowish skin tone around shade 22, likely a winter cool tone. My skin is combination-oily, not very prone to blemishes, but quite sensitive. I usually stick to products I know work for me, as new experiments often fail. The Sand color is almost identical to my skin tone, giving me just a hint of brightness! It evens out my complexion perfectly. I prefer a natural look over radiance these days, so I'm very pleased. If possible, I recommend checking the colors in-store. Note: It has a liquid-to-powder formula that quickly sets from a very thin consistency to a powder-like finish. The color may appear lighter initially but darkens slightly after setting, so if you prefer a brighter look, test it thinly on your hand and decide after it sets. This foundation has zero coverage but applies incredibly lightly and finishes with a powder-like feel. It's perfect for those with combination to oily skin who prefer a natural look over heavy coverage. It ticks all the boxes for me: 1. Most importantly, it doesn't cause blemishes! 2. It's lightweight and just evens out my skin tone, which is exactly what I was looking for. 3. It has a matte finish, which is great for my oily skin. 4. The staying power is excellent, and the color is perfect! It blurs my pores beautifully, making them look smooth and refined. The foundation feels incredibly lightweight, as if I'm wearing nothing. There's minimal transfer to my mask (when applied in thin layers). It doesn't break down at all. Even when oil starts to come through, it doesn't settle into pores or become patchy. Instead, it gives a beautiful inner glow. I use a very small amount, so sometimes oil does come through, but it never looks messy. A quick blot with a tissue or oil paper restores the matte finish. I highly recommend this for those with oily skin! It's much lighter and more fluid than similar formulas I've tried before, like Espoir's UHD Liquid Powder Foundation. It spreads easily and doesn't emphasize texture or dry patches.
ConsThis might be difficult for those with dry skin to use. There aren't many Korean reviews, so I referred to foreign YouTube reviews. Oily-skinned users were thrilled, while those with dry skin were often dissatisfied. Combination skin types found it satisfactory on oily areas but reported flaking or tightness on dry areas. The coverage is very minimal, so it's not recommended for those who prioritize coverage. Layering doesn't significantly increase coverage, and the quick-drying formula makes it challenging to build up (based on YouTube reviews). While one or two thin layers look porcelain-like, thicker application can look heavy and dull the complexion. Tool choice seems important. I use my hands, but most recommend a puff over a brush for application. Foreign reviewers seemed to use more product than I do, which might explain why their matte finish lasted nearly 10 hours. I use much less, so it doesn't last as long for me. However, it still keeps me much more matte compared to using no foundation or other foundations.
TipRemember to shake well before use! Since there aren't many Korean reviews, I suggest checking both Korean and foreign reviews. You can find many reviews on YouTube by searching 'bobbibrown powder foundation'. My skincare routine before applying this is: Rose water mist/toner (Alteya Organics) - Cream (Physiogel Intensive Cream) - Sunscreen (Kiehl's) - Foundation (Bobbi Brown). The foundation gives a powder-like finish without needing additional powder or pact, so there's no need for heavy application. It controls oil well, so you don't need to make your base extra matte before applying! I've shown the amount I typically use in the photo (I add more if needed as I go, rather than using a lot at once). I've applied it above my middle finger knuckle - see how it barely changes my skin color? The last photo shows my skin after about 12 hours of wear. It was taken with an LG rear camera, no filters, under fluorescent lighting to show skin condition clearly. I lightly blotted my U-zone with oil paper about 10 hours after application. Since there aren't many Korean reviews, feel free to ask if you have any questions before purchasing. I really want everyone to know about this product! If you have a chance to visit a department store, please test it out! +2020.09.22. I've added before and after photos in the Porcelain shade review.
