The cleansing effectiveness is decent, and I'd recommend this rich formula for those with extremely dry skin The amount seems quite small, so you might use it up quickly. The rich texture makes it more suitable for extremely dry skin rather than combination dehydrated or oily skin types Highly recommended for those with super dry skin - a5*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 11, 2025
The cleansing effectiveness is great, and the fragrance is reminiscent of a sophisticated, high-end skincare emulsion that adults would use However, when it comes to removing heavy makeup, its cleansing power doesn't seem to be quite as impressive - cr********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 1, 2025
This product allows for very gentle cleansing. It effectively removes even heavy eye makeup and doesn't cause any irritation, so I'm using it with great satisfaction! The price is also affordable, making it worry-free. There are two types available - Rich and Light - but I can't really tell the difference between them. The only downside is that one pump dispenses quite a large amount of product. - ho********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 10, 2024
This is my holy grail cleansing oil that I've been using for over 3 years. It's truly amazing! My skin is dry, so I prefer cleansing oils as my first step cleanser. However, I tend to avoid formulas that are too heavy. I tried many products to find that perfect balance, and this one hits the spot! The price is affordable, and they occasionally run 1+1 promotions, which is a steal! I don't like using separate lip and eye makeup removers, but this oil effectively removes mascara and base makeup. (It removes Etude House and Kiss Me mascaras perfectly!) After rinsing, my skin feels hydrated. I can't live without this product now. It absolutely must not be discontinued! There are Rich and Light versions, but I've used them so much that I can't really tell a significant difference. (Still, I use Light in summer and Rich in winter.) Whether Rich or Light, they're both equally good, so I'm not disappointed! This product is excellent for simply removing makeup, but it's not an oil that will effectively tackle sebum or blackheads. If you want a cleansing oil that isn't too heavy and thoroughly removes makeup, I recommend this! To remove mascara with this, apply the oil to your fingers, make a pinching gesture, and gently rub your lashes. It comes off easily! - vl*****************Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessOct 10, 2024
It effectively dissolves makeup, but you'll need to cleanse thoroughly afterwards to remove any oily residue. I didn't like this product. It felt too rich on my skin. - ha*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 10, 2024
Ah, the nostalgic The Face Shop... I bought it without much expectation during a sale because it was cheap, but oh my, it's so good! After using MNCS cleansing oil, which was great in many ways, I felt like it left a slight residue or slippery feeling that I didn't love. The Face Shop's Mi-in-geum-su comes in Rich and Light versions. I think dry skin types would enjoy the Rich, while oily and combination skin types would prefer the Light. Despite being called 'Rich,' it's not heavy at all. The texture is somewhere between watery and creamy - not quite runny, but not thick either. It emulsifies quickly too. The cleansing effectiveness is also great! It's really great when you buy it on sale - the price is good, the feel is good, everything's good... except it stings my eyes. Be careful when cleansing around the eye area. - ch******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 31, 2024
I've been using this product consistently for a long time - probably 6-7 years or more. I must have gone through nearly 50 bottles by now. I discovered it when I first started working, and I never imagined I'd stick with it for so long! While I haven't researched the ingredients or emulsification process myself, others seem to have covered that well. So, I'll just add my perspective as a long-time user. Even though I don't wear heavy makeup, I always use eyeshadow, waterproof eyeliner, and Kiss Me mascara. Some oil cleansers struggle to remove these completely, especially the mascara! Using a separate makeup remover was too much hassle, but this product takes care of everything in one go. That's why I've been stocking up during sales all these years. The texture is lighter than other oil cleansers, making it easy to apply and massage into the skin. I pump out a generous amount, apply it all over my face, and thoroughly massage it with my eyes closed. Sometimes I rinse it off directly, other times I add a bit of water for a light emulsification before rinsing. I've found that thorough massaging is more important than the emulsification process for effective makeup removal. At one point, I heard that you shouldn't do a second cleanse after using an oil cleanser, so I followed that for a few years. These days, I follow up with a foam cleanser for a fresher feel. Both methods worked fine for me without causing any blemishes. What I love most about this product compared to others is that it doesn't sting my eyes. While oil cleansers can temporarily blur your vision when you open your eyes after rinsing, it gradually clears up as you continue to rinse. I can tolerate that, but eye stinging would be unbearable throughout the cleansing process. I've been so satisfied with this product that I never even considered trying other cleansing oils. On the rare occasions when I've had to use a different product at someone else's place, I always think, 'Yep, mine is still the best.' Plus, it's half price during sales, making it very budget-friendly. I currently have 7 bottles in stock in my bathroom, which gives me peace of mind. While newer products might have improved functionality these days, and I sometimes wonder if I should explore other options, this remains my number one cleansing oil. It absolutely must never be discontinued! The product design... well, let's just say it leaves a bit to be desired, in my personal opinion. For reference, the Light Oil from the same line didn't remove point makeup very well. If you wear eye makeup or use waterproof mascara, I'd recommend going for the Rich version. With proper massaging, it removes pretty much everything. - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedMar 7, 2024
It removes makeup well and doesn't irritate my skin, which I really appreciate. The fragrance is a bit strong. It's not overwhelming, but I think people might have different reactions to it. - so*********Combination SkinNov 16, 2023
It's pretty average. Not particularly good or bad, you know? The ingredients aren't that great... I'm planning to switch to something else. No real tips to share, honestly... I'd suggest trying a different product instead. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 22, 2023
A true holy grail product I always keep stocked up on! Its gentle cleansing power is actually less irritating for the skin, so I highly recommend it for those with super sensitive skin. It effectively removes cushion foundations and light coverage foundations. Even on days when you're not wearing makeup but feel like a foam cleanser won't cut it, or when you want to thoroughly remove sunscreen, you can use this lightly! Strongly recommend this mild cleansing oil. The price has been creeping up bit by bit. I'm worried it might be discontinued since The Face Shop has disappeared. Cleansing with a sponge makes it possible to wash your face with even less irritation. Highly recommended for those struggling with small blemishes. Suggest using both cleansing oil and cleansing milk.
