A foundation that's perfect for my dry skin, leaving it moisturized with a beautiful glow While there aren't any specific drawbacks, the price is admittedly a bit steep Blending with a damp sponge creates a beautiful, natural, and subtle finish - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 28, 2021
It lasts for a long time with almost no breakdown. Even if it does break down a bit, it meets with your skin's natural oils to create a beautiful glow. That's why I'm on my third bottle of this holy grail product! The price...? Honestly, this item has no real drawbacks, so I highly recommend it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 20, 2021
This is truly a holy grail foundation! I usually prefer cushions over liquid foundations, but this one gives the most beautiful skin finish out of all the foundations and cushions I've ever tried. It has a thin consistency and a semi-matte formula that feels hydrating rather than completely matte. Depending on the application tool, you can achieve a perfectly matte look, or if your base has a slight glow, you can apply it with your fingers to bring out that Inner Glow. It's not difficult to control at all. I'm not a fan of yellow-based foundations, but all of Armani's foundations have this beautiful ivory tone that doesn't look yellow on the skin at all, which I love. The coverage isn't particularly high. I've tried high-coverage foundations before, but they tend to go on too thick, which actually reduces their longevity. Instead, I find it's much better to use a thin, well-adhering foundation mixed with concealer, or to do a first layer of concealer for coverage and then apply this foundation over it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJul 4, 2021
It's moisturizing and gives my skin a beautiful glow without feeling heavy I wish the color was a bit lighter. It seems to have a slight yellow tinge - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 6, 2021
A thin, lightweight foundation that's comfortable on the skin! It enhances both skin texture and gives a radiant glow. This is truly a holy grail foundation! This foundation is ideal for skin types without blemishes or acne! It's perfect for those with naturally good skin who want a light coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 14, 2020
I was looking for a product that gives a natural glow rather than heavy coverage, and this one fits the bill perfectly. The pump is a bit disappointing. It dispenses quite a lot of product at once, so you'll need to master the technique of controlling the amount. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 18, 2020
My skin type is combination. I bought this because I love a dewy, glowing complexion in both summer and winter! Hydration: It's incredibly moisturizing. Applying it over a hydrating sunscreen works wonders! Adherence: The staying power is excellent. It lasted so long on my skin and applies in an ultra-thin layer! Glow: It's not overly shiny, but gives a perfect, subtle radiance! Usually, I avoid dewy foundations in summer, but this one works great even then. Skin finish: When applied with a brush or damp sponge that pairs well with hydrating foundations, it creates a beautiful finish. Price: I had to really splurge to buy this... Coverage: As expected from a hydrating foundation, the coverage isn't great. Color: It seems to have a slightly yellow undertone. Since the coverage isn't high, you'll probably need to use a concealer with it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 10, 2020
Let me list the unique advantages of Armani for all skin types: First, it offers supreme skin enhancement! The formula melts into your skin like silk, creating a radiant, beautiful complexion. It's not a glossy glow type, but a matte finish with a subtle, luxurious sheen that makes your skin look stunning! Check out the photo of it applied to my wrist for reference! Adhesion is excellent. It absorbs seamlessly like a skin tint, with a completely liquid texture. While this might be a drawback for oily skin with visible pores like mine, for those with smoother skin, it creates a flawless, egg-shell-like finish. It applies lightly and thinly - see the blending swatch on my wrist! Longevity is impressive. There's minimal darkening, much less than some drugstore brands I've tried. Compared to other high-end products, it's about average - less noticeable than Estée Lauder, but similar to YSL's recent cream formula. Coverage is sheer. It's decent at neutralizing redness, but doesn't cover texture, pores, or blemishes well. Concealer is a must. I've seen reviews from people with clear skin, and it looks beautiful on them. I have a few faint marks, and even those weren't well-covered, which was disappointing. As mentioned, the coverage is lacking. Blemishes aren't well-concealed, making concealer or mixing with other products necessary. Moreover, it doesn't cover texture or pores at all. It's a very fluid liquid type that can actually accentuate pores on skin with minor imperfections. You could try using a pore-filling primer like Benefit's, but there are so many other foundations that work well with just a hydrating primer or moisturizer. For my skin, this product's performance doesn't justify its price. Even affordable brands like Espoir or Innisfree easily cover my pores, which aren't particularly problematic. But no matter how I prepped my skin, this foundation couldn't mask them. Check the circled pore area and close-up photo for reference. Lastly, it caused blemishes due to its ingredients. There are too many potential allergens. After trying this and experiencing issues, I've stopped buying Armani products. I initially bought it to mix with Double Wear for a beautiful finish, and they did pair well (except for the pore issue, which was an ongoing concern). However, I started getting more and more blemishes. Even though I'm meticulous about cleansing and skincare, and rarely get breakouts anymore, I suddenly had 6-7 spots appear at once. I realized it must be the ingredients and stopped using it. For some people, it works wonderfully! I envy those with flawless, pore-less skin who can use this product for years without issues. While it does create a beautiful finish with good staying power, I had to give it up due to the ingredients and its inability to cover any texture or pores. It's quite disappointing. Top tip #1: Recommended for those with smooth skin without visible pores or texture. Even when mixing with other products, it tends to sink into pores without filling them. Top tip #2: Prep your skin well! Rather than using oily products, try layering toner or using a serum to create a thin, hydrated base. This prevents dryness and flaking. While it can be drying even for oily skin, it might be extremely drying for sensitive dry skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinMay 9, 2020
Incredible adherence and application! Just swipe on with the brush for an instant radiant complexion! It tends to fade quickly and get greasy in summer. I mixed it with Power Fabric foundation in fall and winter for better results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2020
Perfect match for my complexion! It doesn't feel heavy like other foundations. It gives a dewy glow too. Doesn't dry out the skin or cake up. And the packaging is so luxurious and pretty that just using it makes me feel good! To put it simply, it wasn't as good as I expected. I bought it thinking it would be the ultimate foundation with both a lightweight feel and good coverage, given its high price, but it's not quite there. I don't have a lot of acne scars, but I do have some, and they don't get covered well. I have to layer on concealer to hide them properly. To find the perfect foundation shade for your face, try swatching it on the inside of your wrist. Remember, a shade that looks natural is better than one that's too light for your skin tone!
