It contains natural beads that dissolve in water for exfoliation, and I believe it has lemon to help dissolve and remove dead skin cells. Since it's not a typical foam cleanser, I use it 2-3 times a week, especially when I feel I need to exfoliate. I alternate between this and an oil cleanser for removing sebum. Afterwards, I follow up with my regular foam cleanser for a thorough cleanse. This product is specifically for exfoliation, so it doesn't seem to remove makeup well, and it leaves a slippery, oil-like feeling on the face. That's why I do a second cleanse. (If I'm wearing makeup, I remove it with a cleansing tissue first, then use foam cleanser, shower, and finish with this product.) The texture is like runny mucus or starchy water that forms a film and clumps together. It seems to have two types of natural beads. One is larger and brown, but there aren't many of these. They're great for targeting areas with excess sebum or dead skin cells. The other type is white, smaller, and more abundant, perfect for general exfoliation. You don't need to pay too much attention to them during cleansing. Unlike foam cleansers, you don't need to work up a lather with water. Just apply it to damp skin and gently massage in circular motions. After use, your skin feels smooth as if all the dead skin cells have been removed. However, it can sting a bit if you have any cuts or irritated areas on your face. Still, it's generally fine to use. As someone with oily skin, this feels just right and refreshing when I use it. The subtle scrub particles seem to help too. I've been dealing with blemishes from wearing masks due to COVID, and this has really made a difference. It's a shame the product runs out so quickly due to its small size. You can definitely feel the difference when you use it. If I skip a day, my skin feels off. The price is also quite affordable. I honestly can't think of any downsides! There wasn't anything I found disappointing.
