# Purchase Motivation I snagged this when it was on sale for half price. I was initially eyeing the lavender Sunphoria, but opted for this one as I thought I'd use it more. # Skin Type I'm between 13 cool and winter cool, I tend to rub my eyes, so my eye area is on the darker side, My go-to shadows are Bobbi Brown's Cement and Heather, and Laura Mercier's Ginger. # Packaging It seems twice the size of a regular MAC shadow. It's about the size of a blush case, between that and an eyeshadow case. The bronze-gold color looks luxe, not cheap at all. When you open it, the shadow surface has a desert-like texture. # Color Payoff I was worried it might be too yellow, but it's actually a muted brown rather than overly yellow. It has a subtle reddish undertone with fine shimmer that's beautifully subtle. You get perfect color payoff without needing multiple layers. # Application Unlike typical powdery eyeshadows, this feels creamy and applies smoothly. While brushes work well, I personally prefer patting it on with my fingers. When I'm in a rush, I can just swipe it on my lids and under-eye, add eyeliner, and I look put-together. Minimal fallout too - I've never experienced glitter fallout with this. # Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. I have Missha's Sweet Ginger which is a cooler, grayish brown that suits cool tones better, But I have a soft spot for warm-toned colors, so I'm loving this one too. The application is smooth, the color payoff is solid - it's a win in my book. # Price But I got it for half off, so I'm thrilled. It works great when I apply a light matte beige as a base and pat this on top - creates a smooth eyelid without settling into creases. Fantastic.
