I think it would be great to use in the summer. It might be good for those who don't like the sticky feeling of toners.
ConsThe toner has a slightly strong artificial fragrance, so I was worried about whether it would be okay to use it continuously on sensitive skin. I'm using it, but I didn't really feel like it was particularly beneficial for my skin.

The scent is also moderate, so I'm satisfied with this aspect.
ConsThe alcohol scent is too strong, making it a bit startling when applying.๐ This is the disappointing part.

The ingredients are not bad, and it does not irritate my sensitive skin or feel uncomfortable, so I'm using it well right now. I don't use cotton pads to apply it, but instead gently pat it on with my hands, and it absorbs quickly, which I liked.
ConsThe price-to-performance ratio is a bit disappointing, and the scent, which many people complain about, is a bit of an issue. It has a bit of an old-fashioned fragrance that reminds me of my mom's cosmetics. For people like me who suffer from dry skin, this toner may not provide a sufficient moisturizing feeling. While it's a good toner to use during the sweaty season like now, it might be difficult to use in the winter.
TipUsing a 3-step skincare routine could also be a good option.

That's probably why it felt gentle and non-irritating. Since I had sensitive skin at the time, this was a major plus for me. -Blemishes As I mentioned earlier, it provided a bit of oil control, so it felt like it balanced the oil and moisture a bit. So I think it would be suitable for blemish-prone, oily, or combination skin types. This is also quite a positive aspect. It didn't worsen my blemishes, but it couldn't significantly calm them down either! It's just average. -Soothing It didn't help much with soothing, but the fact that it didn't spread the sensitivity-related blemishes might mean it has some soothing properties. As with other products, using it as a toner pack and keeping it chilled in the fridge can help with soothing. This product is particularly well-suited for using as a toner pack compared to other products! -Packaging The packaging design is so pretty, it makes you want to use the product. -Cleansing (Cleansing Power) Did you know that toners can be used as the final cleansing step? Nowadays, many people are aware of this. I compared using it as a cleansing water substitute, and it actually cleansed better than my current I'm Sorry Just Cleansing Water (which is alcohol-free and very moisturizing). So I was quite surprised! In other words, even though I don't usually use toners as a final cleansing step, I can strongly recommend this one for that purpose as well.โ My partner and I tried using this together, and they don't like products that feel sticky, greasy, or heavy. As I'll soon mention, I don't want to repurchase this due to the strong fragrance, but my partner initially found the fragrance too strong, but later said the product is great and the fragrance is pleasant, and they want to repurchase it. They've been using it really well. I'm trying to steal the remaining product from them!
ConsThe only three downsides are: -Fragrance I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, and this one has a very artificial and irritating scent. It makes me feel nauseous. This is the main reason for the 2-star rating. If not for the fragrance, I think it would be around 3.5 stars. Even now, as I'm trying to use it as a toner pack to write this review, the scent is making me feel unwell... The strong fragrance makes me feel like the ingredients might be harsh and potentially harmful to the skin. My partner found the fragrance pleasant, which is quite puzzling to me. -Ingredients The lack of alcohol makes it less irritating, which is great, but the ingredients are a bit disappointing overall. -Price Since I'm not particularly picky about toners or essences, the price feels a bit burdensome, as there are many other good toners available at a similar price point. I consider myself a fairly strict rater. I use a 50% repurchase rate as the benchmark for a 3-star rating. This product has a 25% repurchase rate and a 2-star rating from me. The product itself is quite good, but the fragrance is the dealbreaker. I was drawn to the packaging design, but the moment I smelled the fragrance, my interest waned. It's really that unpleasant for me. However, my partner's repurchase rate for this is around 60%, and I'd give it a 4-star rating! The photos below are of me using it as a toner pack and the mist bottle I used.โก This is the first time I've done something like this, and I'm quite embarrassed. The photos don't do me justice... I got so engrossed in writing the review that it took me over 30 minutes! I'm sorry about that.โก I hope this was helpful. Thank you, Hwahae! โUpdateโ After using it as a toner pack, I woke up the next day with 3 inflammatory blemishes, which wasn't too severe but still noticeable. I felt the moisture was really abundant and great (maybe even a bit too much?). It may not have been due to this product, as I sometimes get blemishes randomly, but the timing of getting them right after using this as a toner pack is worth noting. Please keep this in mind!
TipI recommend keeping it in the fridge and using it chilled. The easiest way to use it is as a toner! For those who do the 3-skin or 7-skin method, constantly touching your face with your hands can be irritating (speaking from experience). So, like me, transferring it to a mist bottle and using it that way can be a convenient option. While toners can suddenly disappear from the market, if you really need serious soothing and moisture replenishment, you can also try using it as a toner pack!

It has a watery texture. And the volume is like an animal. It's not sticky, and it's like water, so it's better to apply it several times like the 7-skin method to absorb it rather than just applying it once and letting it absorb. If 7 times seems too much of a hassle, 3 times is enough, but in this dry weather these days, I'd recommend applying it at least 4 times. 2. It's the most versatile as a basic base. Maybe because it fills the skin with moisture inside, I could feel that it was fluffy and moisturized when I applied it. 3. The amount is really a lot. Even if I use more than 3 pumps every day, I've only used about a quarter of it. I think I'll finish it around the middle or end of winter. 4. I think the soothing effect on the skin is definitely noticeable with consistent use. Especially the small bumps or inflamed areas on my cheeks have gradually subsided. 5. It's good to apply it before makeup, and it's also good to use it as a cool skin pack at night. There was no pilling when applying makeup. Since the texture itself is thin, when I patted it in, it absorbed well, and the finish was moisturized but not sticky, so there was no pilling even when I applied cream on top.
ConsThe scent was a bit unpleasant. Since I'm sensitive to scents, it might have felt that way to me, but it would be good to test it out. It seems to have a scent like a men's skin or a faint perfume. When applied to the face, the lingering scent that came up felt a bit strong.
TipAfter using the toner, when the skin is still moisturized, applying an essence and cream with a refreshing or sticky texture depending on the weather will perfectly recharge the skin with moisture. I mainly use the Power Formula, and when I apply the essence after this toner, I get a really plump feeling on my face. It's kind of like the skin sticking to your hand in a TV commercial.

Trial Reviewers' reviews undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsEspecially the areas around my nostrils, where makeup tends to cling and there's always white sebum buildup, have also improved a lot! ** The refreshing texture and easy-to-control packaging - I haven't used many toners targeted at oily skin before, but this one is definitely the most refreshing among water-based toners.๐๐ป It's excellent for summer use! It also works well for spring and fall. - While I don't like the twist-open cap, the way the product dispenses is great - it comes out in controlled, individual drops rather than gushing out all at once, so I don't end up spilling it all over my palm. ** The packaging is pretty. It has a peach-like feel! (Of course, the scent is not like that) It's the prettiest toner bottle I've seen. ** The photos are from the day I received the product and the day I'm writing this review, about 2 weeks of use. But you should keep in mind that I've been dealing with more breakouts lately, as 'that time of the month' is just around the corner. Still, I feel like the excess surface oil has decreased and the tightness has improved!
Cons** The price is a bit steep for heavy usage. - The 250ml bottle is a substantial size, but it gets used up quite quickly, which is a bit of a shame! I'll be on the lookout for sales when it's time to repurchase. ** The scent... it has a 'dad's skin' smell... I wish it was unscented. - I'm not a big fan of fragranced products, and this 'dad's skin' scent (was it a rich scent?) is definitely not my preference. It's bound to be divisive, but it's not for me at all. I wish they had made an unscented version. If they reformulate, I hope they can tone down the fragrance.๐๐ป ** Many water-based toners have twist-open caps, but I personally prefer a simple open-close cap. ** It doesn't seem to have much of a calming effect on redness. - While it has a refreshing, soothing feel, it didn't really help to subdue my flushed, uneven skin tone. Even after patting it on after cleansing, the redness around my cheeks and brows remained. In this aspect, the mild toner I used before worked better. Toners may not be able to dramatically calm redness, but I had hoped for a bit more of a soothing effect from this water-based formula. ** As it's formulated for combination/oily skin, you need to do more skin layers to avoid tightness. - This is the flip side of the refreshing texture. Doing just 3 skin layers like with my previous toner felt a bit drying, and I needed 4-5 layers to get the right balance. The lack of oil and abundance of hydration is great, but the increased number of application steps in the morning can be a bit of a hassle. This difference is likely due to the formula, so I wouldn't call it a strict downside.
Tip** Overall, I'm satisfied! I don't like the scent, but the product performs its functions very well, so I'm quite fond of it. Laneige often has solid mid-to-high range products, which is great. The only downside is the price (compared to other drugstore options). ** I think this toner would be best suited for spring, summer, and fall use, and would need some extra hydration in the winter. ** After using the Shu Uemura cleansing oil to melt away the blackheads on my nose, cheeks, and forehead, and doing a light second cleanse, I like to do 4-5 skin layers of this toner, then generously soak a cotton pad and press it onto my nose area. Its excellent sebum control makes it great for pore management!

I really dislike having an oily complexion, so I mainly use oil-control skincare products like sebum-control products even though my skin can get dry. I'm really averse to oiliness. The packaging comes out fresh and lively, like a carbonated drink, so I was a bit worried my family members might try to drink it if I kept it in the fridge. Since it's formulated for dry-to-oily skin, I think those with oily skin types can use it lightly without any issues. After absorption, it leaves a nicely moisturized, perfect water-based finish, making my skin feel clean. I layered it a couple of times and just added a spot treatment, but it didn't feel tight at all - it stayed nicely hydrated. I think this could be a good standalone toner for those with oily or combination skin who find basic skincare routines tedious or heavy.
ConsHowever, I can't use it anymore since the weather got drier in the fall. When I use my regular toner, it's fine, but using just this makes my cheeks and chin feel tight. Ugh. I don't usually mind fragrance in body and hair products, but I don't like it when facial skincare, especially products that go right on my nose, have an overpowering scent. It might differ for others, but to me, it has a strong alcohol-plus-fruit aroma, similar to 90s middle-aged women's cosmetics. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be a lychee scent, but I've disliked lychee for so long that I can't even recall what it smells like.

I bought it to use as a cleansing toner or cotton pack, and when I use it on my warm face, it does help lower the skin temperature. However, it doesn't seem to effectively remove dead skin cells as much as expected. For those looking to purchase an exfoliating toner, I would not recommend this one. It's just like plain water, so the Mamonde Rose Toner might be a better value option.
ConsFirst of all, the artificial fragrance is way too strong. Contrary to the product promotion, the scent is overly synthetic and artificial. It would have been better if the fragrance was more subtle and herbal-like.
TipGenerously, generously use it to soothe a flushed face.

ConsI usually use the Laneige basic skincare line, and since this new product had relatively decent ingredients, I decided to try it. When the sample came, I tried it right away, but the fragrance was really unpleasant from the very first use - it had a strong alcohol-like smell. If they were going to add fragrance, they could have at least made it a decent one. I do get the occasional blemish, but my skin isn't overly sensitive, and most products work fine for me. However, when I used this product, it caused a breakout of small pimples. I stopped using it for a while and then tried it again, but it was definitely the culprit. They claim it's for those with dry skin, but that's definitely not the case.
TipEveryone's skin is different, but even if it doesn't completely ruin your skin, this product doesn't really have any significant benefits compared to other options, and the fragrance is just really unpleasant. If you want to try it, I'd recommend testing it out first.

It's not burdensome to use in the summer, and I really love Laneige's signature scent~ The volume is also generous, and since it's a water toner, it's great to apply it frequently~ I'd recommend this for summer use.
ConsIt doesn't seem to have that much moisture. The lightweight texture is an advantage, but if you're looking for something more rich, I wouldn't recommend this. And if you're sensitive to cosmetic scents, the fragrance might be a bit strong and difficult to use.
TipSoak a cotton pad with it and store it, then take one out and use it like a sheet mask - it's great!
