  Pros

  I was torn between black and brown, but I went for brown since I heard it gives eyes a sultry look. I'm glad it's not a light brown. While it might feel pricey at full cost, I think I snagged it for around 8,900 won during a sale. I bought it because it's supposed to dissolve easily in water, and that's what I love most about it. I'm not a fan of aggressively removing makeup with eye makeup remover twice, so I chose one that comes off well with lukewarm water, and it works great. If you prefer subtle makeup, I'd recommend the brown shade. It separates lashes well, giving a nice curl without clumping. I'm happy with how it feels and its staying power. It's easy to wash off and gentle enough for regular use.

  Cons

  Just keep in mind you might have to accept a bit of smudging under the eyes as time passes.

  Tip

  For best results, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler first, then apply the mascara. This gives a fantastic lift and decent staying power.

  Pros

  I have droopy eyelashes, so I can't use heavy mascaras. However, this product dries quickly and keeps my lashes lifted all day long, which I love!

  Cons

  That said, it does smudge a bit, so you'll need to check your mirror occasionally to make sure everything's in place.

  Tip

  The brown shade is perfect for those days when you want a more natural, less intense makeup look.

  Pros

  First off, I chose this mascara because the ingredients seem better compared to others! Plus, the price point wasn't bad at all.

  Cons

  Although I've only been using this mascara for a few months, I found the brush a bit long, making it tricky to control. As a beginner, it clumped quite easily, and since it's not waterproof, there was some smudging. After a while, I noticed some powder-like fallout under my eyes, which was disappointing. After extended use, I have to add: I have monolids with long, straight lashes, and even though I don't think I'm applying it wrong, the hold is really weak. Even when I curl my lashes, apply this, and curl again, they're back to being straight within 30 minutes. I'm envious of those who say it has good staying power!

  Use sparingly for best results!

  Pros

  1. While it's marketed for volume, it also has a lash-lengthening effect. The more I applied, the longer my lashes appeared. 2. The mascara wand isn't blunt, making it easy to apply. 3. Compared to the Kjaer Weis mascara which was a struggle to remove even with makeup remover, this one comes off easily with just a couple of swipes - very satisfying! 4. The curl-holding power is decent... and decent is perfect in my book. If you find it droops a bit, just give your lashes another quick curl with an eyelash curler.

  Cons

  1. Since it's not waterproof, there is some smudging. 2. As time passes, it flakes a little bit. 3. While it's labeled as brown, it dries to more of a burgundy shade. It didn't suit my warm-toned skin at all. Perhaps they should rename it to 'Burgundy Brown'...?

  Tip

  To reduce smudging, try pressing some powder onto your lashes with a puff before applying the mascara!
