This product did not cause any breakouts or problems! The texture is similar to water, and I mainly used it as a substitute for toner. However, it doesn't have the same moisturizing feel as other toners. I only used it at night just in case it might be irritating, and after using it for about a month or two, my skin seemed to look a bit brighter - though it could just be my imagination. I've been using the Wonsaeng Centella toner for a while, but lately my already dull skin seems to be getting even darker... So I bought some niacinamide, hoping for a brightening effect :) Compared to the Wonsaeng Centella or Madecassoside, this has a thicker, skin-like texture, but it's not as thick as an essence, so you can use it with a cotton pad. The 10% concentration isn't too low, so I was worried about irritation before using it, but surprisingly, there was no stinging at all. My skin is sensitive, but it was fine, though individual results may vary! As for the brightening effect, which was my main reason for buying it, I haven't noticed it yet, so I'll have to use it for a bit longer to see the results 🥲 But the finish is much more moisturizing and hydrating than I expected! (I had read reviews about niacinamide high concentrations causing dryness) Oily skin types could probably use this as their sole base step in the summer, without needing a lotion or essence. If I do see the brightening effects, I'll definitely repurchase! 😇
