I'm so pleased with this purchase. After using my cleansing oil, I follow up with this cleansing foam and I'm really impressed with it! I usually buy cleansing foams in bulk, but I got this one for an upcoming trip. I decided to give it a try and I love it!
ConsThe scent is a bit strong, almost like detergent? That's not really my cup of tea. As someone sensitive to smells, it's not my favorite, but it's not terrible either.

For evening, it works well as a second cleanse after using micellar water, providing decent cleansing effectiveness without excessive dryness. Despite being mildly acidic, it lathers up nicely.
ConsIt has a faint soap-like scent. I bought a small size on sale, but the full-size product is a bit pricey.

However, I noticed that it doesn't lather as much when applied to oily skin.
ConsThe cleansing effectiveness doesn't seem particularly strong. Also, while it's supposed to be fragrance-free, there's a slightly artificial scent that might put you off at first use.

Just pay for shipping and it's yours! With Dr. Alga products, you don't even need to question the ingredients. I just wanted to see if this formula suits me and works for my skin. I wouldn't have minded a smaller size, but this is a total score! I've uploaded a photo of the foam cleanser I'm currently using! I rarely use Japanese products now, but occasionally when I want that squeaky clean feeling. I'm planning to toss it out soon though! I bought the Make×× low pH cleanser during a buy-one-get-one-free sale. As someone with combination-dry skin, I bought it because I dislike that tight feeling after cleansing. However, it left an oily residue and was so slippery that I had to finish with soap - what a hassle! I tried the Seed× Black Sugar Ampoule Soap a few days ago, but it's a hard pass! It gave me mosquito bite-like blemishes... I don't wear heavy makeup, so I can't speak to how well it removes color cosmetics. But after using an oil cleanser followed by the Dr. Alga product, I noticed that while the foam isn't super rich or dense, it left me feeling refreshed as if all the oil had been washed away. For a low pH foam, I've never experienced such a satisfying finish - I'm completely satisfied! My skin didn't feel excessively tight after cleansing. I think I've finally found the cleansing foam I've been looking for! However!!! I didn't notice at first because I had blemishes when I started using this product, but one... two... three... four... They kept coming back even after calming down. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to stop using it. The after-feel was really nice, which makes it even more disappointing!
ConsThis product doesn't have Dr. Alga's signature herbal scent. Instead, it smells a bit like dish soap. Those sensitive to fragrances should keep this in mind. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me, but if you don't have sensitive skin, give it a try!
TipSince the foam isn't very rich, I also recommend using a foam net!

Texture When I squeezed out the foam cleanser, it felt slightly runny! It's not super thick, but it's not so thin that it drips. The consistency is similar to a typical foam cleanser. With just a small amount of water, it lathers up wonderfully! I've heard it's not good to rub it directly on your face after squeezing it out, so I always work up a lather first. This one foams up nicely, which I love! 2. Cleansing effectiveness For a foam cleanser, cleansing power is crucial! It claims to cleanse even fine dust, so I was curious to see how well it would perform. I'm the type who always uses cleansing water + foam cleanser, even if I've only applied sunscreen... I tested it by applying Estée Lauder foundation on the back of my hand and cleansing with just this foam cleanser. It removed everything completely! To make sure it wasn't just visually clean, I wiped it with cleansing water afterward, and voila - it was spotless! The cleansing power is definitely top-notch!
Cons3. Scent The scent reminded me a bit of dish soap, unfortunately. It's noticeable when you first apply it to your face, but it fades quickly. Still, as someone with a sensitive nose, I found the fragrance a bit off-putting... I deducted one star because of the scent. That being said, it's tolerable, so I'll probably use up the entire product without too much trouble!

Two birds with one stone! The biggest advantage of this product is its cleansing power that doesn't feel like a low pH product! While low pH products are great for balancing skin pH, they often lack in cleansing power. As someone with oily skin, I've had experiences with low pH cleansing foams that didn't clean properly and led to blemishes. Since then, I've avoided low pH products. While browsing The Hwahae Testers event, I was intrigued by the claim that it could remove sunscreen too. I applied and was lucky enough to try it out! I usually use mineral sunscreen, so I always double cleanse even without other makeup. I wanted to test its effectiveness on my sunscreen, but it was hard to see. So I tested it on stick concealer, mascara, lip tint, and eyeshadow. The results? Everything except mascara was removed completely. The stick concealer came off in one wash, except for what was in fine lines, which came off after 2-3 washes. While it's a foam cleanser and can't be expected to match the cleansing power of oils or waters, it's incredibly effective for a low pH foam cleanser. It even compares well to regular foam cleansers. This product successfully balances pH and provides excellent cleansing power at the same time!
ConsThe dish soap-like scent and high price If I had to pick a downside, it would be the scent! I was a bit surprised when I first used it. While lathering, it smelled strongly of dish soap, giving the impression of a really thorough cleanse. It's not a major drawback though. The biggest drawback might be the high price. We tend to be price-conscious with cleansing products, and the price is quite high for the amount you get. It might be a bit burdensome when purchasing. I'd recommend it for those who usually invest in their cleansing routine!

It removes foundation, concealer, and eyebrow makeup with one thorough cleanse. This convenience eliminates the need for double cleansing. Post-cleanse tightness: While my face is generally oily, my cheeks tend to feel dry and tight after washing. However, I've never experienced any tightness or dryness after using this product. Perhaps it's because it was developed with an emphasis on balancing pH levels, but there was absolutely no post-cleanse tightness. This stood out as the product's best feature. Foam quantity: When using a similar amount of cleanser in a foam maker, it produced a generous amount of foam.
ConsScent: On the first day of use, there was no noticeable smell. However, with continued use, a strange rubber or burning plastic-like odor seemed to develop. (This scent feels more unpleasant in the morning shortly after waking up or on days when I'm feeling particularly sensitive.) Due to this, I probably won't repurchase. Price: Considering the volume (120ml), the price (21,000 won) seems quite steep. It's definitely worth looking for discounted prices when purchasing. Skin reaction: After using it morning and night for about a week, I noticed that when I cleansed with this product in the evening, my cheeks would gradually become red and itchy before bed. Sometimes, blemishes would even appear in those areas. While this could be due to my ongoing skin inflammation issues, those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this product.
TipAs of July 21, this product is available on the official 'Dr. Alga' website for 10,500 won. If you're interested in trying it, be sure to compare prices across various sites rather than paying full price.

Wearing a mask only made my acne situation worse... Cleansing effectiveness: As shown in the photo, after letting it sit for about 30 minutes before rinsing, most of my foundation and eyeliner came off, though there were still some slight tint marks left. *Please refer to the attached photo
ConsMajor changes: I didn't really notice any significant improvements... *Please refer to the attached photo Scent: I found the wood glue-like smell rather unpleasant Deep dryness: Unlike other foam cleansers I've used, this one left my skin feeling quite tight and dry
