The color isn't a bright red, but rather a slightly toned-down red, which was perfect for adding a subtle pop of color to the inner lips! There weren't really any downsides. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a good red tint.

It's a challenging shade to control the amount you apply. The pigmentation is incredibly intense, which can unfortunately highlight any dead skin cells on the lips.

The color is beautiful! I love the velvet formula, and the shade is just perfect. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. If you don't exfoliate your lips, it can emphasize dead skin cells. That's typical of velvet formulas though.

Personally, I find it so beautiful that I'm considering repurchasing it. As someone with dry lips, I find that applying this matte lipstick makes using lip balm absolutely essential. My lips tend to be dry, but this doesn't emphasize dead skin cells and feels somehow soft and... moisturizing? That's why I love it so much! You'll need to be careful with the amount you use. I trusted Rom&nd when choosing the color, and I wasn't disappointed. The shade is truly beautiful and applies smoothly with a soft finish. While the color is pretty, the staying power leaves something to be desired. It absorbs incredibly smoothly. The color complements my warm skin tone beautifully. The fragrance is also delightful. It's a bit disappointing that it transfers slightly. When applied lightly, the color is absolutely perfect! It's such a versatile shade that I've been using it daily. The staying power doesn't seem to be that great. You need to reapply it quite often. If you just apply it and go out, there's a bit of a 'yogurt effect'. It's better to blot with a tissue after application and then reapply for a smoother finish.
