It's mildly acidic, but rinses off cleanly without any slippery residue. While it doesn't dramatically improve blemishes, it doesn't cause new ones either. Even when used alone, its cleansing effectiveness seems better than most foam cleansers. Of course, it's even more effective when used as a second step after a cleansing product. I've been using this for about 7-8 years now, and I've gone through more than 4 of the largest size bottles. I highly recommend it as a daily cleanser for both morning and evening routines. Above all, the value for money is outstanding. If you do a thorough first cleanse, there aren't really any drawbacks to speak of. It's great for everyday use. The foam is fantastic and it lathers up really well. Thumbs up! It feels a bit slippery, so I tend to rinse it off more thoroughly than usual. I'm not a big fan of having a squeaky clean face, but I like how this gently yet thoroughly cleanses. It lathers well and has a nice scent. There's nothing disappointing. I don't have enough to fill 20 characters, so what should I write...

I used this as my morning cleanser and it was great! The bottle is huge, so it lasted forever. I actually managed to finish the whole thing! I felt the cleansing effectiveness was a bit lacking when removing makeup. I've been using this for so many years I can't even remember when I started. Must have gone through at least 10 bottles by now. If I really think about it, it's been well over 5 years, probably closer to 8 years. Despite having super sensitive skin, I've been using this without any irritation. After cleansing, there's absolutely no dryness. My sister has also settled on this as her go-to cleanser. It's really not great. I bought it in a hurry while on a business trip and used it, but it caused acne. At least it's cheap. I don't understand why they're so obsessed with adding strange fragrances that aren't even pleasant, causing blemishes. I rarely get small bumps, but after just one day, they popped up everywhere. I thought, 'Maybe it's because I'm tired?' But when I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, I realized they're not good. How is this supposed to be gentle? It's not even a functional product, just a cleanser. I wish it would stick to its primary purpose. This review is written out of frustration.
