I really appreciate that Lush products don't create unnecessary waste, with only paper packaging. That's a big plus in my book! The soap itself has a good thickness, so one bar should last quite a while. It's surprisingly solid and weighty, so it won't easily break in half or get mushy. While you can use a foam net to create some lather, I actually prefer using the soap directly on my skin for cleansing. It's definitely a gentle formula that's quite usable, though the cleansing effectiveness is quite mild. It's perfect for a light cleanse! I'd recommend it for those times when your skin feels irritated - it seems to have a soothing effect that makes your skin feel comfortable. To be honest, if you're a fan of foamy cleansers, I wouldn't recommend this soap... It barely lathers at all. It's fine if you want a gentle, non-irritating, mild cleanse, but if you're after rich, abundant foam - this definitely won't deliver. - ad****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresApr 16, 2022
It's lovely. The subtle fragrance is delightful. It has excellent cleansing effectiveness. My skin feels soft and smooth. It's slightly irritating. The white soap suds leave noticeable residue, making the surrounding area messy. Make sure to use a soap dish with a proper drainage system. - ra****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 25, 2022
Those hard, pimple-like blemishes that often appeared on my forehead and cheeks? They've almost completely disappeared since I started using this product! It doesn't lather well... and when sharing with the kids, we go through it too quickly. Even with a foam net, the soap wears down fast due to poor lathering. Given its high price, it's frustrating how quickly it runs out. - ss********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 8, 2022
"A gentle facial soap that's perfect for everyday use without worry" I was recommended this by a Lush employee for my atopic and combination skin, and I've been using it for about a month now. No irritation, but definitely cleanses well! It's not ideal as a makeup remover. Think of it more as a simple face wash. Effective in soothing blemishes The calamine powder, commonly known as an ingredient in chickenpox treatments, forms a thin layer after washing to calm the skin. It seemed to help a bit with oil control and acne. Skin feels moisturized and soft after cleansing I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types due to the oil content. The calamine powder leaves the skin feeling soft! It was great for acne. Stays firm even when left out - no mushy soap! Lush soaps are notoriously weak against bathroom humidity (and then they try to sell you a $20 cork soap dish, those sneaky marketers). But this product stayed firm even when lathered with water! If you store it properly away from moisture, it should easily last three months. Gentle exfoliation effect As you can see in the photo, one side has a floral pattern and the other has exfoliating particles embedded. You can directly use the scrub side on your face if needed. However, the particles are a bit large, so I don't recommend this method for sensitive skin. A refreshing scent that doesn't get old It wasn't a common fragrance. The light herbal scent that lingered after washing was a pleasant treat for the nose. Long-lasting! Fresh Farmacy is solid and durable, with no worries about breaking or getting mushy, yet it lathers well in water. I've been using it morning and night for over a month, and it barely shows any signs of shrinking! At this rate, I won't have to worry about soap for two months! Although the price was a bit steep, it was a pretty good soap to use. What's with the residue that sometimes rolls off...? I use this product as my second cleanse. Occasionally, if there's some sebum or oil left on the skin, it can mix with the calamine powder and roll off like dead skin cells. When this happens, it's annoying because I have to cleanse again. * The residue (brightening effect) after cleansing is due to the calamine powder. It's a soothing and protective ingredient, so no need to worry! Love Lush like me? If you're buying multiple items, definitely order directly from overseas... The prices in Korea are twice as high as in Japan, UK, or US...! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 23, 2020
After my LASIK surgery, even the slightest hint of mint or other irritating ingredients in shampoos or soaps would make my eyes sting. However, this cleanser doesn't cause any eye irritation during use! It has a subtle, pleasant floral scent. I was worried it might be too soft, but it's actually quite firm. You can use it like an ink stone, lathering it up as needed. Storage is easier than I expected. I just keep it on a sponge by the bathroom sink. The after-feel is great! It leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, and comfortably dry. If you prefer lots of lather, this might not be for you. It can be a bit of a hassle to work up a good foam. After a month of use: - I initially thought it was good that it wasn't too drying, but the oil content turned out to be a drawback. Not recommended for those who need to manage their pores! While it leaves a soft finish, it does contain oil... Bathroom humidity control is necessary. - my*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsOct 30, 2020
I bought this because it's affordable and marketed as a vegan cleanser, which I trust. The scent is really off-putting and doesn't agree with me. The cleansing effectiveness seems weak too. It irritates my blemishes, making them more painful.
