Pros
I really like how moisturizing it is, and above all, I appreciate that it's made with a single ingredient, which means no blemishes. It's definitely a product I'm fond of.

Pros
As someone with extremely sensitive, dry skin prone to redness, most products instantly give me millet-like acne. This gentle formula, however, absorbs smoothly into my skin. Surprisingly, I didn't experience any redness the next day. After trying other products from this line, I'm thoroughly satisfied.
Cons
The price is quite steep for the amount you get... I wish it were a bit more affordable. Also, the expiration date is considerably shorter compared to other brands.

Pros
It's a complete water-based formula! At first application, I felt it was a bit drying, but after layering it about three times, it became really hydrating. As someone with sensitive combination skin prone to blemishes, it worked well for me without causing any major issues. I even used it as a skin pack on areas with body blemishes, and it had a soothing effect. It seems excellent for calming the skin.
Cons
The scent is really disappointing. It would have been better if it were unscented. The fragrance has a slight burnt smell... mixed with an unfamiliar scent I can't quite place. I also think it would be great if it had a runny texture. The very watery consistency means you have to use a lot when doing a skin pack, which is a drawback.
Tip
I did a skin pack every three days and noticed that areas with blemishes that were red started to calm down. While I don't have acne-prone skin, I always get small bumps during my menstrual cycle or when I'm tired, which has always been stressful. So far, I'm managing well without any major blemishes.

Pros
The best thing about this product is that it's 100% beta-glucan without any other chemical additives. I absolutely loved that it's fragrance-free too. After using it for a week, I didn't experience any blemishes. My skin is super sensitive and usually reacts immediately to irritating products, but this one caused no issues at all. Although it's an essence, it doesn't have that slippery, moisturizing feel. Instead, it absorbs quickly, almost like a toner.
Cons
It has a watery consistency like a toner, so I dispensed it into my hands to apply. However, because it absorbs so well, a significant amount seemed to be absorbed into my palms before I could even get it on my face, which felt wasteful. I got to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, but considering the 100ml volume at this price point, I'd have to think twice about purchasing. It might be better if they increased the volume or lowered the price a bit.

Pros
For my combination skin that leans dry, I loved how this kept me moisturized from night till morning. It has an even more watery texture than IOPE's Water Essence, but when applied, it feels like it's deeply penetrating the skin. Amore Pacific products rarely cause blemishes for me, and I use them often. Perhaps because it's a single-ingredient formula, it's gentle and doesn't cause any irritation. I'd definitely repurchase!
Cons
While it's nearly fragrance-free due to its single-ingredient formula, there's a slight medicinal scent. The price is a bit high for the amount you get. It would be even better if they included some cotton pads in the package.
Tip
When your skin feels parched, you can soak a cotton pad generously and use it as a mask. Alternatively, applying a small amount directly to the skin without a cotton pad provides ample hydration.

Pros
I needed an essence and this one was pretty good for everyday use. It seems suitable for all skin types - a kind of universal appeal? For reference, I have combination skin! When I apply it before bed, my makeup seems to go on better the next day. I haven't used it for long, so I'll need about a month of consistent use to really tell, but so far there have been no blemishes and I'm generally satisfied! There are no major drawbacks, so if it continues to suit my skin, I'll keep using it.
Cons
Given its texture, it might be more suitable for dry skin than oily skin. After application, there's a slightly slick feeling that lingers. It's not too bothersome, but some people might find it irritating! In terms of quantity, it seems just right for about two months of use, but considering the price, the value for money isn't great. I wouldn't want to pay full price for it. The bottle design is modern and nice, but not luxurious... It doesn't feel like something you'd give as a thoughtful gift that would be appreciated. I'll probably stock up during sales.
Tip
I think it would be really nice to apply it chilled when the weather gets warmer.

Pros
It feels like it locks in skin hydration without any irritation! After using it for over a week, I didn't experience any blemishes or small bumps appearing on my skin. The scent is not overpowering and is almost fragrance-free, which I really appreciate. When I wake up in the morning after applying it the night before, my skin feels slightly clearer. I think with consistent use, it could really improve my complexion. The hydration and texture are most similar to Laneige's Cream Skin, in my opinion!
Cons
While using this product, I only noticed my skin looking clearer in the mornings, without any other significant effects. It just seems to maintain skin hydration without causing irritation.
Tip
Rather than patting it in with your hands as the instructions suggest, I find it's better to gently press it into the skin. This method seems to reduce skin irritation, allows for better absorption, and works really well overall.

She's in her 50s with oily skin type. ✅ Texture: She says it feels like there's a drop of oil in it, making the skin feel smooth when applied! The nutrients seem to absorb well without being sticky. ✅ No blemishes: Although my mother doesn't have particularly sensitive skin, she didn't experience any blemishes or pimples after using it. ✅ As she's middle-aged, skin tends to become dry with age, but she likes how this seems to prevent that dryness! The following is the review my mother sent directly: Beta-glucan Essence The bottle itself looks pure, as if it doesn't contain various chemical ingredients. Recently, with the severe temperature changes, makeup often looks cakey, but this product transforms dryness into moisture from within, creating smooth skin that doesn't look cakey all day. It's a refreshing water-type formula, so I use it to prep my skin before applying toner. It seems to refine skin texture while providing both hydration and nourishment, which I love. That's why I use it both before toner and during the essence step. Oh! Remember I mentioned it feels like there's a drop of oil mixed in? Well, I usually don't do well with oil-based products, but this doesn't feel sticky or greasy at all - just smooth. Also, when I feel dry, using it twice - before toner and during the essence step - seems even better. I highly recommend this for people in their 50s like me who are experiencing decreased skin hydration. It seems to tackle both hydration and nourishment at once. Pros
As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I often experience delayed blemishes, so I used this for about 10 days. Happily, there were no issues like irritation or dermatitis. Texture: When shaken, it seemed light like water, but upon application, it had a consistency between water and serum - perfect for combination dehydrated skin. It feels like a lighter version of a hyaluronic acid toner. I was pleased that even after some time, it didn't cause any pilling when I applied makeup. Hydration / No Irritation: Despite being 100% concentrate, which made me worry it might irritate my sensitive skin, it actually provided rich hydration. It even seemed to soothe my skin (which was experiencing blemishes due to a recent change in cleansers). Fragrance-free: I appreciate the lack of artificial fragrance. There's a faint, clean scent that's quite pleasant - as if this is how a completely sterile product would smell. Overall, I'm very satisfied. It's hard to find products suitable for sensitive combination dehydrated skin, but this one is gentle, deeply hydrating, and doesn't interfere with makeup. A winner in my book!
