It was my first-ever makeup purchase, and I was drawn in by the affordable price. Since I naturally have long, thick lashes, I chose shade #3. 1. Definition It really delivers on the main purpose of mascara - making your lashes stand out! The difference between wearing it and not is striking. 2. Staying power It holds the curl well from morning to evening, with minimal drooping. 3. Easy to control amount It's easy to adjust the amount by wiping the wand on the rim of the tube. I've tried the Dear5 Long Lash mascara too, but because it's designed for length, too much product came out even after wiping. This one is much easier to use. 4. Great for beginners! With its basic design and above-average performance in most aspects, it seems easy for beginners to control.
Cons1. Stickiness/Clumping When applied, it feels like the lashes stick together more than with other mascaras. I'm not sure if it takes longer to dry or if it's meant to have a sticky finish. 2. Smudging I have monolids with puffy eyelids, which might be why it tends to smudge a bit on my lash line. Even when I wipe off excess product, it still smudges on both upper and lower lash lines. However, it doesn't leave marks under the eyes in the shape of your lashes! 3. Curling power While it covers curled lashes well, it doesn't seem to provide much curl on its own. It maintains the curl from an eyelash curler but don't expect dramatic lifting if you apply it to straight lashes. I once tried it without curling first, and my lashes just felt heavy without any lift.
TipRemember, the foundation of great mascara application is using an eyelash curler! Curl your lashes first, then wipe excess product from the wand on the tube's rim. Gently brush through your lashes. If you're worried about smudging on your skin, try placing a cotton swab between your eyelid and lashes while applying.
