Instead of a toner, I use this before makeup... It's lightweight and not heavy, making it a versatile product that I frequently use (I'm on my third bottle!). The texture is more substantial than a toner, and I found both the application and absorption to be excellent. It's dispensed through a pump, and interestingly, the plate pushes the product upwards as it comes out. I appreciated being able to use every last drop. For my combination-dry skin, it wasn't irritating at all and proved to be a great product. The texture is lighter than a cream but heavier than a toner, which might be divisive for some users. This product seems to strike a balance between a toner and a cream, offering good hydration without feeling heavy. Its pump design ensures efficient use of the product, which is a plus for those who value getting the most out of their skincare investments. When applied to dry skin, it absorbs well with a nice firmness, creating an ideal base for the next step of a more concentrated essence. Unlike serums that are too oily or have a runny texture that can make absorption of subsequent products difficult, this one absorbs nicely into the skin. Perhaps due to the Rejuran ingredient, after two months of use, I've noticed my pores seem tighter and my skin feels firmer. I plan to use at least one more bottle. None. I'm satisfied. Ingredients Since discovering Hwahae, I've been exclusively using skincare products with excellent ingredients. While I can't always control makeup products, I insist on this for my skincare routine! I love that it has no harmful or allergenic ingredients, and even offers anti-aging benefits. 2. Scent The fragrance is subtle and gentle. It's so light that it practically disappears the moment you apply it! Personally, I prefer this to artificially prolonged scents. 3. Hydration Despite being a softener, it provides adequate hydration. Even in September weather, using just this Vital Softener alone prevented any deep dryness. The hydration isn't sticky, but rather absorbs completely, leaving the skin's surface feeling fresh while deeply moisturizing. The texture is as shown in the photo. After using it, I can't think of any downsides! Due to its anti-aging properties, I didn't use it as an exfoliating toner. Packaging - It's clean and hygienic, and really convenient to use. It's a pump-type, but unlike many that spray everywhere, this one dispenses smoothly for easy application. The case design is pretty, you can see how much is left, and the lid is sturdy. 2. Texture - It's pleasantly slippery and refreshing. It has a slightly runny consistency, feeling slick when touched casually, but feels fresh when applied to freshly washed skin! It doesn't absorb instantly, but it's not slow either. If you let it absorb completely without applying anything else, it leaves a light, powdery finish. However, I found that using 2-3 layers works well without needing a separate serum. In summer, you could probably get away with just this product for a quick skincare routine, while in winter, you could layer it multiple times for extra hydration! 3. Moisturizing effect - As mentioned, given its runny texture, it's naturally a moisturizing product. When you apply it to your skin and gently massage or pat it in, it feels light and hydrating like water droplets. It doesn't feel greasy, but rather creates a moisture barrier similar to aloe gel. 4. Blemishes - I didn't experience any blemishes after using it! My skin tends to be a bit sensitive and easily irritated, but this feels cool and soothing when applied. It should be suitable even for those with super sensitive skin. Hmm... there's really nothing bad, but if I had to say something, it might be that it doesn't absorb well into cotton pads? I think it's because the formula has a bit of viscosity! It might waste quite a bit if you try to use it as an exfoliating toner. It feels slightly cool just applying it normally, but it's really amazing if you keep it in the fridge!
