I was pleased to find that the Banobagi Rejuvenating Vital Emulsion has a good ingredient list. The sky-blue packaging gave me the impression that it would be gentle on the skin, so it passed my first impression test. I'm also sensitive to fragrances, but this product is unscented, which made me feel I could use it without any worries. After trying it out, I'm happy to report that I didn't experience any redness. I also love that it comes in a pump bottle, making it easy to control the amount. They mentioned using a patented Transfersome technology to maximize skin penetration, and I could really feel the nourishment reaching deep into my skin, noticeably improving my skin's elasticity. Overall, I'm so satisfied that I'd give it a full five-star rating!
ConsWhile there aren't any major downsides, I did find it a bit heavy due to its rich nourishing properties. Because of this, I'd recommend using it during fall or winter!
TipIf you layer it on dry areas or parts of your skin that need extra nourishment or have specific concerns, you'll see those issues resolved by the next day!

However, recently I've found rich creams to be a bit heavy on my skin, so I've been looking for a lightweight yet effective emulsion. This product, which I tried through The Hwahae Testers program, has been the most satisfying cosmetic I've used lately. I highly recommend it, especially for those in their 30s. The pump bottle is incredibly convenient and works smoothly. The absorption is excellent - it strikes a perfect balance between being too oily and too watery. The finish is great whether you use it as a step between toner and cream or layer it twice as I do. The texture is closer to a light emulsion; it absorbs quickly when patted in. After absorption, there's no stickiness or dryness, making it perfect for layering. It leaves a subtle glow and seems to mix well with other products. The scent is practically fragrance-free, which I love as I can't tolerate artificial fragrances. The ingredients list is impeccable. As a firming emulsion, it's great for both face and neck. I plan to keep purchasing it.
ConsOne minor drawback is that it can make your skin feel a bit warm and stuffy, almost to the point where you might break a sweat. Personally, if this feeling is too intense, I tend to stop using a product regardless of its benefits. However, with this emulsion, the stuffiness isn't overwhelming, and its other qualities make up for it. If I had to mention another downside, it would be the price - it's not exactly budget-friendly. Additionally, this might not provide enough hydration on its own during fall and winter. It's excellent as an intermediate step between toner and cream, but might not be sufficient as a final step except in summer. Those with dry skin should keep this in mind!
TipLayering it lightly twice works great! I recommend this for those with oily skin or who dislike feeling of heavy products. It provides a well-balanced mix of oil and moisture. Highly recommended for those who prefer fragrance-free products.

As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm always anxious about changing my skincare products. I rely heavily on the Hwahae app to research thoroughly before making a decision. I'm the type who carefully checks how many potentially harmful ingredients are in a product and whether it's suitable for my skin. I'm extremely cautious about my skincare choices, and I'm happy to say this product passed my ingredient check with flying colors! Given its gentle formulation, it doesn't have a strong artificial scent, making it suitable for everyone. I'm prone to contact dermatitis when using the wrong products, but I experienced no such issues with this one. I've been using it without any problems! I was prepared to stop using it at the first sign of blemishes, but my skin has remained clear, which speaks to the quality of its ingredients. It didn't trigger my atopic dermatitis, cause any adverse reactions, or lead to contact dermatitis. At this rate, I feel confident using it for a month or two without any issues. My skin is incredibly sensitive and usually reacts immediately, but there have been no problems at all. Also, I love that it comes in a pump bottle for easy dispensing!
ConsIf I had to nitpick and find something to critique, I'd say it felt a bit heavy on my skin at first. I'm used to very light textures because of my sensitive skin, and I typically avoid cream formulations. So this felt slightly heavy and suffocating initially. However, this sensation only lasted for about 3 minutes, and after 5 minutes, it absorbed quickly. What remained was a moisturizing, nourishing feeling without the heaviness, which I appreciated. My initial concern was that it might clog my pores or feel uncomfortable under makeup, which was a slight disappointment.
TipI use an essence-like toner, so starting with that sticky feeling and then applying this emulsion made it feel heavier. I found that using a light, watery toner in two layers before this product made it feel much lighter and less suffocating. Rather than applying a thick layer all at once, it's better to apply a thin layer and then add more only to particularly dry areas. Applying it too thickly, especially on areas with visible pores, can lead to unflattering makeup application and a heavy feeling. While it's not an extremely rich or sticky formula, it strikes a balance between being lightweight and providing perfect hydration. For best results, start by deeply hydrating with a toner, then lock in the moisture with this emulsion. This approach allows for a comfortable, non-heavy skin finish!

It's great that it doesn't feel oily at all, yet provides a coating sensation that prevents dryness. However, some might find the matte coating feel a bit heavy (it's like you could push it around with your finger, though I didn't experience any actual pilling during use). Blemishes: Before using this product, my skin was quite irritated due to an unsuitable cleanser, leaving the area around my nose and mouth red, tight, and tingling (mild contact dermatitis). I was worried about using this product in that condition, but fortunately, it was gentle and non-irritating, helping my skin calm down quickly. As someone with super sensitive skin, this is what I appreciate most about it.
ConsTexture: While the lack of oily residue is a plus, the coating-like application can feel a bit heavy in hot weather. Effectiveness: Due to the short usage period, I'm unsure, but compared to other anti-wrinkle and firming products, I don't notice my skin feeling particularly more firm or elastic. I suppose that's to be expected since cosmetics aren't pharmaceuticals.
TipUsually, even when I layer on lots of cream before bed, my skin tends to feel dry by morning. To really test this product's feel and effectiveness, I applied two layers without any additional cream, and surprisingly, my skin wasn't dry at all the next morning. Those with oily skin who dislike heavy creams might be able to skip the cream step with this, except perhaps in the dead of winter.
