  My black hair came out brown instead. I have thick, dark black hair, so the original color doesn't show up well. Even after leaving it on for over 40 minutes, it just came out brown. I was hoping for a purple tone, but it just turned out brown. Other brand products give a bluish-black, but this one doesn't have a purple tone, even under lighting. ㅜㅜ The only plus is that my hair texture isn't too bad.   I did a light bleach that left my hair a yellowish tone, not quite platinum. The final color came out as a very bright lavender. The saturation is a bit too high, giving it a very wig-like appearance. I actually prefer the slightly less bleached ends, as the color looks more natural there.

  For those who can't bleach their hair too much, I recommend doing a light bleach on virgin hair and then dyeing it to get a muted purple-brown tone. This is a good option if you can't achieve a strong bleach.
