Usually, I use daily pads with gentler materials just to refine my skin texture, but occasionally I crave something more intense like this to feel thoroughly cleansed. It even makes my pores feel refreshed! This product contains more exfoliating ingredients compared to others, and the pads are pleasantly thick.
ConsEven as an occasional-use item, it might be too harsh for dry or super sensitive skin. When it's cold outside, using this can make your face feel like it's burning. You can try using it gently, but it might be better to switch to a less irritating exfoliating pad in winter and save this one for summer use.

I didn't experience any blemishes either.
ConsIt doesn't seem to eliminate blackheads. It can be a bit harsh and sometimes causes a tingling sensation.

To my surprise, it left my skin incredibly hydrated! There's a ton of serum-like essence soaked in, making it really moisturizing. I appreciated the clear instructions on the product for how to use it along the skin's texture, so I followed those steps! Even after just using this for over 5 minutes without applying any emulsion or cream afterwards, I didn't experience any tightness (this is based on my oily skin type). Those with sensitive or dry skin might feel a bit of tightness - it's somewhat unavoidable with exfoliating pads! I feel like I could even sleep with just this on without issues. But remember, after exfoliating, it's crucial to moisturize! It's summer, so I had some blemishes pop up in my T-zone. After using this, I felt like they were gradually subsiding - though it might just be my imagination! I used it twice a week.
ConsI have oily skin and I'm not particularly sensitive. However, about 3 minutes after use, I felt a slight tingling sensation. So for those with super sensitive skin, I'd recommend using it only once a week, and only on areas that really need sebum or dead skin cell removal, like the nose or T-zone. Oh! And there's a slight dryness around the mouth area, kind of like the feeling after using an alcohol-based product - a bit of burning sensation. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious and avoid using it around the eyes and mouth!
TipFor oily skin or when you need exfoliation, just gently wipe along the T-zone following your skin texture, then continue with your skincare routine. The next day, you'll notice a smooth, clean exfoliation effect without any rough patches! Recommendations: - For oily skin: Use 1-2 times a week - For dry skin: Use only when exfoliation is needed - For super sensitive skin: Use once a week with the soft cotton side, or only when necessary!

First off, my skin is in pretty rough shape with lots of dead skin cells and blemishes. It's quite a challenge, to be honest! - Let me tell you, this product is amazing at removing dead skin cells! It feels so refreshing, and my skin becomes incredibly smooth. It works wonders on the nose area especially, which we all know can be a tricky spot for dead skin buildup. I was genuinely wowed by how effectively it worked - it's that good! - I personally found the scent to be quite pleasant and not off-putting at all, which was a big plus for me. - I also appreciated the generous amount of product and essence provided. - As we all know, exfoliation is crucial for blemish-prone skin. This product has really improved my complexion. I've noticed that when I use this to cleanse, it helps bring my blemishes to a head. If you massage it in well, it can help extract blemishes, which I found quite satisfying and refreshing.
ConsOne downside is that the gauze texture can feel a bit harsh on the skin. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to be cautious. It's actually more abrasive than embossed pads - at first, I was worried it might cause scratches. Also, the container is quite large, which might not be convenient for carrying around.
TipPro tip: store it in the fridge for an extra cooling effect - it feels absolutely amazing!

Soothing effect: While I can't be certain it was solely due to this product, the blemishes that had appeared on my cheeks near my nose from wearing a mask seemed to calm down the next day. Essence quantity: The topmost pad wasn't dry at all. There was so much essence that it felt almost wasteful to use it only on my face. So I applied it not just to my face, but also to my back where I have keratosis pilaris, and even my arms! Scent: I'm usually sensitive to fragrances, but personally, I found this scent wasn't irritating or strange. It has a tea tree-like aroma.
ConsThe wide side of the pad has a gauze-like texture, feeling slightly rough like a washcloth. Personally, I found it quite irritating to use on my face. As this is my first time using pads, I can't compare it to others, but even the fine side wasn't as soft as cotton for me and felt a bit harsh. User experience: On the first day, perhaps because it was my first time using such a pad or due to some unknown irritation, my face felt a bit hot and tingly. So I took a break and tried it again a few days later. The second time, there was much less burning and tingling compared to the first day. Those with super sensitive skin might experience some burning or tingling sensations.
TipI've recently heard that using cotton pads for exfoliating toners can damage the skin barrier, so I've been trying to avoid using cotton as much as possible! For the same reason, instead of wiping this pad along my skin texture, I gently patted it on after cleansing. For those who have keratosis pilaris like me, after applying it to your face, you could use the rough side to apply any remaining essence to areas with keratosis pilaris! Every dermatologist emphasizes that exfoliation and hydration are crucial for keratosis pilaris!! While it's not a dramatic improvement, my sister, who applied it to my back every evening, said it seems to have faded a bit - though it could be just our imagination! I think it's killing two birds with one stone to care for both facial and body exfoliation while applying it to your face!

If I apply just anything, I wake up the next day with blemishes and redness - that's the kind of skin I have, unfortunately. The Fragrance: When I first opened the lid, I immediately noticed a tea tree scent. It has that distinctive tea tree aroma, giving off a fresh, forest-like fragrance! Some people might not like it, but it's not overpowering, so it should be fine! As someone who absolutely loves this kind of scent, I'm very satisfied! It's like a clean, refreshing fragrance, you know? Pad Thickness: The pads are thicker than regular ones! They're double-layered, which is great because they don't tear while wiping and aren't too thin to be uncomfortable. I really like that! Variety of Pad Textures: The pads have different textures on each side, making it convenient to use different sides for different areas of the face! It's especially good for thoroughly cleansing areas that produce more sebum, like the forehead, chin, and nose. Amount of Essence: The pads are soaked with a generous amount of essence! There's really a lot! It's enough that it might drip a little if you squeeze, but not excessively. There's enough left over after cleansing your face that you could even use it on your body if you wanted to. Fresh Feeling: After cleansing, your face doesn't feel sticky or uncomfortable - just fresh! It worked well for me since I don't have particularly dry skin.
ConsPad Texture: While I like the variety of textures, the gauze-like side feels a bit harsh on my skin - it's somewhat rough and not very soft. So I ended up using the other side more! Ironically, I found the inner side where you insert your hand to be softer and more pleasant. Price: To be honest, I think it's a bit expensive for only 30 pads! Of course, it might be okay if you're not using them daily, but still, it seems pricey. I wish they'd reduce the thickness a bit and increase the quantity instead. Essence: Maybe it's because there's so much essence on the pads, but as you wipe your face, it starts to foam up a bit on your hands. It feels a bit like using cleansing tissues to remove makeup. When you first apply it, it feels a bit slippery. Of course, after patting it in, it becomes smooth like a toner and doesn't feel sticky. Soothing Effect: I'm not really sure about its soothing properties... It just feels average? I can't say 'Wow, this really calms my skin!' unfortunately.
TipHmm... I think it's best to use the textured side for overall cleansing, and then gently use the gauze side on areas with more sebum, like the nose. Just remember to be gentle - never rub too hard!

The amount of essence is just right, so it doesn't feel too saturated. Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I found it non-irritating with a pleasant forest or herbal aroma. Application: I love how it fits like a glove, making it convenient to use. The texture is light, similar to a gentle emulsion or toner, absorbing quickly without leaving any stickiness. It's great that it includes both exfoliating and cotton pads - the exfoliating side helps with dead skin cells, while the cotton side is perfect for touching up makeup in the morning.
ConsThere was a slight irritation, but I continue using it because I really like the cotton pads. The price is a bit high considering you can't use it for a full month if applied morning and evening. It's too harsh for daily use anyway, but during fall and winter when you might want to use it more often, the cost can be burdensome. As recommended, it's best to use 2-3 times a week.
TipThe amount of liquid is generous. After using it on your face and neck, you can apply the excess to your heels, knees, or elbows for added benefits.

The best thing about using Neogen Dermalogy Green Tea Moist PHA Gauze Peeling was its effectiveness in removing dead skin cells! After using this product during my evening skincare routine and completing my regimen, I woke up the next morning to find that the scattered patches of flaky skin had disappeared =) As a result, I noticed my skin was much more receptive to makeup application the following day! I also have super sensitive skin. Usually, when I use other pad products, I often feel a scraping sensation and my face becomes flushed, which led me to constantly switch between different pads. However, when I tried this product, I didn't experience any discomfort while using the Neogen Dermalogy Green Tea Moist PHA Gauze Peeling. Instead, I felt refreshed and noticed that it didn't cause any irritation. Lastly, what I really appreciated about this product is its unique design. Unlike other products, it has a pocket for your fingers, making it incredibly convenient to use. Normally, even when using both sides of a pad, you have to hold it from one side, which can be uncomfortable. This product completely eliminates that inconvenience. I highly recommend this product to: • Those with super sensitive skin and anyone struggling with dead skin cells on their face! =)
ConsThe first drawback is that while this product is extremely gentle, when used close to the eyes, it can cause a burning sensation and make your eyes water. If you have sensitive eyes, I strongly advise avoiding the eye area when using this product. The second minor issue is that the amount of essence in the pads seems a bit excessive, which can make absorption slightly slower. To address this, you can gently pat your skin to help it absorb better.
TipRemember to use gentle motions when applying! Even though it's a mild product, it's still an exfoliating pad. If you rub too vigorously or excessively, it can irritate your skin.

My current skin condition is super sensitive, prone to blemishes, and combination. Large pad, the size of your palm! The pad is so big it covers an entire cheek! I always felt like other pads weren't enough, but this one is sufficient even after cleansing! Generous amount of toner to match the large pad! We've always been disappointed by the lack of toner in other pads, right? But with this product, no worries! I was concerned the pad might be dry since it's so large and there's no leftover toner in the container, but thanks to the abundant moisture, it leaves your skin feeling hydrated! A scent that makes your skin feel clean! The green tea fragrance might be hit or miss for some, but I think the fresh scent and cool pad complement each other perfectly! Soft embossed side! You know how cheaper pads start pilling and leaving fibers on your face after just a bit of use? This product doesn't pill even after repeated use, which is great! Plus, unlike gauze, it's super soft, which makes it even better!
ConsThe gauze side is too rough... I know my skin is more sensitive due to the changing seasons, but even considering that, I think the gauze side might be a bit irritating. My skin quickly became sore, tingly, and red while using it, so I had to flip it to the embossed side to soothe my skin. This is a major disappointment... The lid doesn't seem to close properly The life of a pad is its moisture, right? Once it dries out, the pad's lifespan is over in my opinion. As a consumer who values how well the lid seals and closes, this is important to me. In this case, I'm not sure if it's just my product, but I felt like the lid didn't close as smoothly in one go compared to other pad products.
TipKeep it in the fridge and use it cool! The cool green tea scent and chilled pad go so well together! Double the soothing effect! On days when the sun is harsh like now, treat your skin to a cool pad and feel happy!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsSkin type: Dry + Slightly sensitive 1) Doesn't cause blemishes 2) Each pad has two sides: an exfoliating side and a soft cotton side The exfoliating side focuses on daily dead skin cell removal It's quite effective (which could mean it's potentially irritating, but more on that in the downsides) As someone concerned about blackheads, I use various products to combat them, but the most important thing is reducing sebum production itself. With consistent daily exfoliation using these pads, it seems like my skin doesn't produce as much excess oil as before. The soft cotton side feels like using a cotton pad soaked in essence. If the exfoliating side removes dead skin cells, the cotton side soothes and calms the skin afterwards. It's incredibly gentle and packed with essence, causing no irritation at all. 3) Quantity: One of the drawbacks of buying pads is often the price. Even when bought on sale, if there's too little product... However, these have a good amount. A new package is over 2/3 full. 4) Body use: This is my favorite feature. The pads are quite large, easily fitting two fingers. When using the exfoliating side on the face, gentle pressure is enough for effective dead skin cell removal. After using both sides on the face, there's still clean pad left. It seems wasteful to throw away, so I use it on my elbows, anklebones, and knees. You can be much rougher on the body without issues. Using the exfoliating side firmly on the body feels like a good scrub. It's like taking two showers - very satisfying. Using it for both face and body makes it feel more cost-effective. 5) Plenty of essence: Check the last photo! You can see essence coming out with just a light squeeze.
Cons1) At first, I used the exfoliating side like a regular cotton pad and was surprised by how harsh it felt. The exfoliating side is designed for dead skin cell removal, so it's a bit rougher. While it effectively removes dead skin cells with light pressure, using it like a regular cotton pad can be too harsh. So, be gentle! Treat your face like it's as delicate as a baby's bottom when exfoliating. 2) Despite claims of reduced irritation, I don't think it's suitable for very sensitive or extremely dry skin. Pad products in general aren't great for these skin types. 3) Must be used after completely removing makeup. For skincare use only.
TipAfter cleansing, gently wipe your face with the exfoliating side, then use the cotton side. Use the used exfoliating side to gently scrub elbows, knees, and anklebones, then pat with the cotton side. Using it at night before bed helps makeup apply better the next day. Night use seems better than morning use!
