It has a calming effect on angry, red blemishes, so I bought a large quantity when it was on sale and have been using it regularly.. My acne-prone teenage son's skin has become less rough, and it's been effective in managing his mask-related skin issues as well.
ConsThe scent was a bit strange at first, and I had to hold my breath while using it..But I got used to it quickly. It's a synthetic, herbal-like fragrance, not a natural one, and it dissipates quickly.
TipI don't use it on targeted areas only..Since my skin is quite sensitive and gets itchy and blotchy even from just washing my face, I apply just a tiny bit, about the size of my fingernail, all over my face..It spreads lightly and evenly without drying out my skin, and it's been great for me 365 days a year.

First, my skin type is combination+acne-prone, and I can say it's fairly resilient as it's not particularly sensitive to specific ingredients. However, ever since I had trouble popping pimples, I've had persistent reddish acne scars on my cheeks, and around the time I received the product, I started getting a few small red pimples around my lips. So I used the product for about 10 days right away. I cleansed my face morning and night and did my basic skincare routine, applying the cream only to the areas with acne. Since I didn't wear makeup for about 10 days, the Derma Sica Cream was the final step in my routine. Normally, the calming effects of a cica cream start showing up fairly quickly, but by days 5 and 10, I didn't see any reaction. The good news is that the redness of my acne didn't get worse. I wondered if it was just me, so I read other reviews, and it seems I'm not the only one experiencing this. And since there are no harsh ingredients, I didn't see cases of the condition worsening either. At first, I thought the cream would be heavy since it's called a cream, but it turned out to be much lighter than expected. After application, it left a moisturized, slightly dewy feel. Maybe because I applied it to oily areas, it had a slightly shiny, moisturized finish. And being in a tube, it dispenses just the right amount each time. For those who find creams too heavy, just a light, even application should work well.
Cons1. The packaging looked like a medicinal product, and the scent was also reminiscent of medicine. It was supposed to have a refreshing herbal scent, but the level of freshness was not as strong as expected. The scent didn't linger after application, but those sensitive to fragrances may not like it. 2. The price is high compared to the effects. These days, there are many affordable cica creams available, so if the ingredients are similar, I probably wouldn't choose the more expensive option. 3. Even for calming small pimples, it took a long time to see results. As I mentioned, I used it for 10 days but didn't see any effects. :(
