The large size makes it convenient for applying foundation.
ConsIt tends to flake and accentuates dead skin cells. However, the large mirror is great for carrying around as a portable compact.

Thin application with minimal transfer It applies thinly and feels slightly cooling right after application. A small amount spreads well, but the coverage is not great, so I recommend using a spot concealer. After wearing a mask for 2 hours, there was some transfer on the nose and cheekbone area, but not a significant amount. ----------------------- Additional notes on 11/28 at 4:26 PM (with photos added) The photos are from when I had been wearing the mask outside for a while and then took it off. I tend to wear the mask quite tightly. As a result, I could see a little bit of transfer on the nose area, lip area (where the mask seals), and cheekbone area. However, compared to other cushions, this one really doesn't transfer much. When I took off the mask, there were some marks left, but as time passed, it faded away naturally... and it seemed to break down a bit oily-ly, though I'm not sure if that's just my skin type. 2. No irritation I've been wanting to wear makeup, but most foundations end up causing breakouts. I had to stop using my previous ㅎㄹ Black Cushion, so I carefully reviewed the ingredients and decided to try this one. After wearing it for 6 hours and removing it, my skin had no irritation at all. (If there's an issue, my skin usually gets completely messed up even after just a few hours of wearing makeup and removing it.) That's the best part for me.
Cons1. Caution with over-application to avoid cakiness I usually use shade 21, but this cushion makes me look very pale. If you apply too much in an attempt to cover, there's a high chance of the makeup looking cakey and unnatural, so be careful. Don't be too heavy-handed - apply thinly and build up coverage gradually. 2. Disappointing coverage I have stubborn hereditary freckles and blemishes, and this cushion doesn't cover them well. If you want good coverage, using a concealer is a must. 3. Accentuates dryness and breaks down over time... (Updated on 11/28) -> If you have an excellent moisturizing base, the accentuation of dryness is less, and it breaks down with a slight oiliness. Since this is on the matte side, even though it doesn't transfer much, it's inevitable that it will break down when wearing a mask all day. But it doesn't break down in a particularly flattering way. I haven't done any touch-ups today, but I'll try that and add more feedback. ------------- Additional notes on 11/28: With touch-ups, it applies well without any significant issues. However, since this is quite pale, layering it can make the tone look much brighter, so be gentle and apply it lightly.
TipUsing a concealer first to cover problem areas, then applying the cushion on top, seems like a good approach given the relatively sheer coverage. It's best to apply it in thin, layered applications to avoid cakiness. I'd also recommend having a well-moisturized skincare routine as the base, especially if you have dry skin like me.

The main reason I purchased this is that it contains fewer harmful ingredients compared to other cushions. 🎈It doesn't transfer as much onto the mask. 🎈A small amount can provide good coverage. Just a little bit can improve the skin tone, but the coverage for pores and skin texture itself is not that great. 🎈The packaging is clean.
Cons🎈The pore and skin texture coverage is not that great. You need to be careful as it can accentuate flaky skin. In my case, it covered small pores well, but the accentuation of flaky skin was disappointing. This cushion is more suitable for people with good skin. Of course, they would look good in anything. If this product can provide good coverage, using a tone-up cream might be better. 🎈The packaging is larger than expected The size takes up a bit of space in a small bag or pouch.
TipAs others have mentioned, it's recommended to dab it on the back of your hand a few times before applying it directly to your face. Applying it straight to your face can give a heavy, theatrical look.

It definitely doesn't transfer as much onto the mask (though it doesn't completely prevent transfer!). And since I have extremely, extremely, extremely sensitive skin, whenever I put on makeup, the next day I wake up and my skin just turns red in the butterfly area. My skin texture also gets a lot worse, and small pimples come up too. But with this product, it's not a lie to say that it didn't happen at all - it definitely came up a bit less. But this is probably because I have such sensitive skin! The 21st shade is also very brightening and good to use.
ConsFor normally dry skin, it might be a bit drying. But this would be good for those who want something that doesn't transfer onto the mask, or for oily skin types! I have dry skin, so there was some accentuation of flakiness and wrinkles. 🥲 The coverage is a bit on the lighter side, but I don't really care much about coverage, so I actually liked the natural and lightweight look more than heavy coverage.
TipFor dry skin types, I recommend thoroughly applying your skincare base and then covering up!

After applying makeup, I used to be very stressed about it transferring onto my mask. But I won the Hwahae Trial Reviewer event and got to try the Nature Republic cushion for the first time. The exterior is a clean white and it's larger than other cushions, almost covering my entire palm, but it's thin enough that it's not too bulky to fit in a pouch. The puff is also bigger, but personally I prefer smaller puffs. If you look closely, the puff has very tiny perforations, and I think that's why the coverage applies so evenly when I first put it on my face. At first, it sets to a matte finish and really fills in my pores, and the coverage isn't bad either, so I think it's a good value cushion!
ConsThe application is a bit thick, and it's inevitable that it transfers onto the mask... Even after putting on and taking off the mask a few times, it still transfers, though less than other cushions. The problem is that as time goes on, it starts to cling to my pores and emphasize my wrinkles, so my makeup ends up looking worn. I'm not sure if it's because I have dry skin, but the breakdown was really disappointing for me personally.

Especially when wearing a thin mask, the mask remained clean! (However, for thicker, well-fitting masks like KF94, there was not much transfer immediately after application, but some transfer was unavoidable over time) *Spreadability: It seems to spread thinly and adhere well. I prefer a more natural, seamless look over heavy coverage, so this was great for me! *Color: The color is bright and luminous! *Puff: The puff has slits, so it was easy to apply. *Ingredients: The ingredients seem really good for a cushion, and I've been using other cushions recently that have cica ingredients, so it was nice that my skin didn't worry too much about wearing a mask.
Cons*Dryness: Since I have dry skin, the semi-matte finish did feel a bit drying, and there was a slight emphasis on flakiness. *Color: When I first applied it, the brightness was quite strong, but it ended up not being as bright as I expected and seemed a bit darker. *Touch-ups: I don't usually do touch-ups, but when I tested it, there was a bit of a caked-on feeling.
TipEven without separate setting, the cushion has excellent adherence and less transfer, but it's best to have a good skincare routine, especially for dry skin types. And to better match the color to your own, it could be good to mix it with other products as well.

I have inner dryness but the surface tends to get oily. *Ingredients As a color cosmetic product, especially a cushion, it contains cica ingredients, which can have a soothing effect on troubled skin, which is an advantage. *Product Design The cushion has an overall clean and simple design. The size is nicely large. *Puff Since the cushion is quite large, the puff is a bit bigger than regular cushion puffs. The puff bottom has a honeycomb pattern perforation, so it seems to apply the product evenly.
Cons*Spreadability When I tested it on the back of my hand, it emphasized wrinkles and pores a lot. The cushion itself is quite matte, so it applies thickly and stiffly. (At first I thought the puff was the problem, but the puff actually worked well with other cushions) *Shade Only shade 1 was available for the Hwahae trial, so I applied for that. My skin tone is around 22, so I expected a brightening, yellow-toned shade, but... It ended up with a grayish 'zombie' tone, like the first generation BB creams from 10 years ago. It applies with a whitish cast and quickly sets to a thick, matte finish, so you have to apply it quickly. It doesn't give a radiant, brightening effect, but rather a sunscreen-like finish. *Coverage As a cover cushion, the coverage is quite weak. It didn't cover my freckles, spots, and blemishes well, and the pore emphasis was significant. This might be because my skin is not as fair as shade 21. It may be more suitable for those with very fair, clear skin. *Breakdown Wow... While it doesn't transfer onto the mask, which seems to be due to the matte finish, after 4 hours, I saw that it had broken down very messily. I was so shocked that I even forgot to take a photo. I'll try it out at home on a day off and share some photos.

The good things about this product are: 1. The size of the product is slightly larger than other cushions, which was very convenient when looking in the mirror, and the puff size was also larger, making it easy to apply. 2. It had less transfer onto the mask compared to other products. To be honest, I used it with some skepticism, but I was able to confirm that it had less mask transfer than other regular products, at least by my standards. 3. It provided a natural-looking skin tone enhancement. I mainly used the 22 shade, and this product had a slightly brightening effect, but it didn't look overly bright, and I could see my skin tone becoming more even over time after application. 4. It did not cause any blemishes. I always had to deal with blemishes when doing my makeup, but this product didn't cause any breakouts! It was a good fit for me, and I also liked that there was no stuffy feeling when I applied it.
ConsWhile there are many good things, there are also some disappointments: 1. Controlling the amount is difficult. I might have unknowingly tapped out too much, like I usually do, and a lot of product came out, which was a bit startling, but I eventually got the hang of it. 2. Not recommended for dry skin in winter! While there was no drying feeling when I applied it, since my skin has some flaky areas here and there, it accentuated the flakiness after application. It might be a better product for oily skin types or if you have a very solid skincare routine. 3. Low pore coverage. As much as it didn't feel stuffy, the coverage was also on the lower side. Just something to keep in mind! Overall: The natural-looking skin tone enhancement and minimal mask transfer are good, but for dry skin in winter, this product might not be the best fit. If your skin is not too dry, you could probably use this product comfortably throughout the seasons!

The puff itself also dispersed the product well. It was easy to even out my skin tone, and the matte finish was actually something I preferred. Compared to other base products, the fact that it didn't transfer onto my mask was a big advantage.
ConsWhile I prioritize coverage, this seemed a bit weaker than I expected. Also, I usually use shade 21 in other foundations and cushions, but this cushion seemed a bit brighter. So I ended up using it more often to highlight the central parts of my face. There was some emphasis on dry patches, so making sure to have a solid skincare routine is important.

If you have oily skin or good skin texture, you can achieve a fluffy, powdery base with this product. I usually get small pimples when I put on makeup, but this product didn't cause any breakouts.
ConsBeing a non-transferring cushion, it's bound to be matte, so even though I was diligent with my skincare routine, I found it too drying for my liking. As it wears down, it accentuates pores and has a slightly clumpy (?) appearance (photo attached after 6 hours of wear) The quick adherence is a plus, but since it's too drying for me, it was difficult to apply liberally in the morning.
TipI think it would work well if you have a very solid skincare routine or if you use it in the summer.
