I have two roommates who've been using this Mochi Toner. I had to ask them if this was some new trend I wasn't aware of. Well, if it's a trend, who am I to resist? Even if the trend only extends as far as my two roommates! The name's pretty cute too, so I ordered it without much hesitation!

Just... don't buy it. I'm not sure if it's any good. A toner should refine your skin texture and give a refreshing feeling... you know, those kinds of effects. But this one? Nothing like that at all. It's only good for drenching your face before makeup, making it all damp and supposedly creating that perfect canvas for makeup application. That's all it does. If I could go back in time, I'd spend a few extra bucks and get the Numbuzin or Bring Green toner instead.

I'm thrilled about the long shelf life and the great value for such a large quantity. The texture is more like a cream skin than an essence toner, with a thicker consistency and moisturizing power. It has a hydrating effect with a slightly rich finish, but it generally absorbs well with a fluid texture. It seems perfect for dry skin types as a summer moisturizer. I love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. It's excellent for prepping the skin for the next steps in your routine.

There aren't any major drawbacks. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the hydrating power could be a bit stronger for its consistency. 좋았던 건 보습력이었어요. 민감성 + 건성 피부라서 속건조 심한 편인데, 이 토너는 무게감 있는 에센스 제형감이라서 피부 속당김이 덜하더라고요. 세라마이드, 판테놀, 히알루론산이 들어있다더니 진짜 장벽 보호도 잘 되는 느낌이 들었습니다! 무려 500ml의 용량도 한 번 사두면 오래 사용할 수 있고, 넉넉하게 사용할 수 있어 좋았어요. 아침저녁으로 2스킨팩 자주 해도 한참 쓰겠어요. 가성비 면에서는 훌륭합니다! 향이 세지 않아 피부 민감한 날에도 무난하게 자극 없이 편하게 쓸 수 있었던 것도 장점이었어요. 트러블도 안 올라오고 순한 느낌이었어요!

다만 계절적으로 피부가 지성 쪽으로 기울 땐 스킨케어 첫 단계에 사용하기에 무게감이 느껴졌어요. 레몬오일, 리날룰, 리모넨 같은 향료 성분이 있어서 피부가 아주 민감하신 분들은 사용 전 패치 테스트 우선 해보시는 게 좋을 것 같아요. 따로 제품 상자나 비닐 등 어떠한 포장도 되어있지 않고, 병째로만 택배상자에 대뜸 담겨 와서 좀 낯설었어요. 에코프렌들리 측면에서 가용한 방법이라고 생각 들었지만, 추후 매장에서 일정 기간 방치된 재고를 구매하게 될 경우에는, 세안 후 손으로 병을 바로 집어 그 손으로 피부에 펴발라야하는 만큼 병이 좀 찝찝하다는 생각이 들 수 있겠다 싶었어요. 마지막으로 환절기, 단독 사용으로는 보습이 오래 가지는 않았어요. 건성이라면 이 토너만으로는 부족할 수 있어서 로션으로 유분감을 덮어줘야 휘발이 잘 안 돼요!

I've been using this for about three weeks, and as someone with dry-leaning skin, I really appreciate the cream toner formulation! It provides excellent hydration - I'd say it's the best moisturizing toner I've used so far. Despite its impressive hydrating power, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It absorbs well before applying makeup, which is great. Another plus is the generous amount of product. It'll last a while, and I'm looking forward to continuing to use it.

The scent isn't my favorite, so I prefer using it as a mist rather than applying it with a cotton pad. When used as a mist, the fragrance isn't noticeable at all, which works much better for me!

Here's a pro tip: Get an empty mist bottle from Daiso and transfer the product into it. It's the perfect combination!
