Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and dry cheeks, prone to milia and acne, sensitive Review after use: I've heard so many great things about Kim Jung Moon Aloe line products, so I bought this out of curiosity. This is my honest review of a product I purchased with my own money. I started using this to address the dead skin cells appearing on my forehead and cheekbones. I experimented by applying it twice a day, morning and night. Being oily-skinned, I was worried about clogged pores, so I used a small amount and spread it thinly. In the morning, I applied it before makeup. I didn't notice any pilling, probably because I used a small amount. If anything, it absorbed well. However, my skin did get oily quickly, requiring oil blotting every 2-3 hours. After that, my skin felt quite dry. Before using this product, even with a good skincare routine, my skin would feel dry soon after applying makeup. At night, I applied a slightly larger amount before bed, covering my entire cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, and lips. When I woke up in the morning, my skin didn't feel dry at all, and surprisingly, it wasn't very oily either. After using this product, the inexplicable itchiness improved, and the dead skin cells disappeared completely. I thought this balm-type product wouldn't suit my oily skin, but with proper amount control, there's no risk of milia and only benefits. I tried using a larger amount too, but as expected, excess isn't good. In conclusion, I'll definitely repurchase after finishing this product. Even for oily skin, with proper amount control, this one product is enough without needing to layer various creams. It's absolutely the best for dead skin cells and dryness. The downside is that when applied to the lips, you can strongly taste that distinct petroleum jelly-like flavor in your mouth. I guess that's unavoidable with a balm-type product? - ke*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedDec 27, 2024
The texture is slightly firm, reminiscent of tiger balm. I use it as a lip balm before bed and also as a multipurpose balm on dry areas. I thought it would be good for atopic dermatitis and told my sibling to use it, but it seems it's not suitable for atopic skin. When using it as a mask, I mix it with cream. - hu****Combination SkinWrinkles/ElasticityDec 25, 2024
As someone with extremely dry skin, I find this rich product doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. The application is terrible. It's like trying to spread tiger balm - it doesn't blend well and leaves a thick, sticky residue on the skin that remains tacky for hours. - pt********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 11, 2024
I first tried the Kim Jung Moon Aloe sun stick and loved it after just one day! This product is also super popular, so I bought it and I'm absolutely in love! I've had such a hard time finding products that work for my skin. My house was full of unused cosmetics while my skin kept getting worse, even developing contact dermatitis. But with this, my blemishes calm down overnight! Larger, inflamed spots might take two or three days, but for those small, itchy bumps that pop up like hives? One application and they're gone by morning - it's a one-shot, one-kill solution! Honestly, the texture is quite like Vaseline, so I wouldn't spread it all over my face. I use it on my lips, dry patches, itchy areas, and especially where blemishes are starting to form, and it works wonders. The price-to-quantity ratio is fantastic too - I think this will last me well over a year! It's a bit inconvenient that you have to scoop it out with your fingers, but the benefits far outweigh this minor drawback... For inflamed blemishes, apply a generous amount. For itchy areas or hives, try layering it on thinly for best results. - mj******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresSep 1, 2024
It feels a bit too oily and itchy when applied all over the face. I use it sparingly on areas prone to blemishes, or frequently on my hands when they feel chapped. It's also great for lips, elbows, and heels. Since I only use it on specific areas, it lasts forever. It's not essential - you can take it or leave it. However, if you have it, it works well as a moisturizer. It's great for those dry, cracked areas in winter - feels very protective. It's heavier than Physiogel. - kc********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedAug 18, 2024
It worked great for moisturizing dry skin on my body and lips, rather than my face. I loved how hydrating it felt. The texture is too thick, making it difficult to apply. When I used it on my face, it felt way too heavy. - ka********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 5, 2024
✔️ Powerful hydration: This product lives up to its reputation for exceptional moisturizing. When applied to dry skin, it instantly hydrates and maintains moisture for a long time, ensuring your skin never feels tight, even in the depths of winter. ✔️ Strengthens skin barrier: With consistent use, I noticed my skin becoming more resilient overall. As someone with slightly sensitive skin, I saw a noticeable improvement in the stability of my easily irritated complexion. ✔️ Rich texture: The cream has a thick consistency, perfect for applying generously at night. The moisturizing effect lasts until the next morning, making it suitable as a lip mask or sleeping pack. ✔️ Gentle formula: Packed with naturally-derived ingredients, it's non-irritating and suitable for sensitive skin, allowing for gentle care without causing blemishes. ✔️ Fragrance: As someone sensitive to scents, I love its subtle and natural aroma. It has a calming, nature-inspired scent rather than an artificial one, making it pleasant to apply before bed. ✔️ Absorption speed: Due to its rich texture, it absorbs slowly, making it more suitable for evening use rather than morning application. ✔️ Rich feel: It might feel a bit heavy for those with oily skin. If you have oily skin, it's best to use a small amount or layer it with other products. ✔️ Packaging: A jar type would be more hygienic than the tube format. Using a spatula or fingers to scoop out the product felt slightly inconvenient. For best results, use it as a lip mask or sleeping pack after your evening cleanse, or apply generously to dry areas and massage it in to enhance absorption. - wn*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 26, 2024
This is my go-to product for so many situations - when my lips are dry, before bed on areas prone to wrinkles, or for small cuts. It's incredibly versatile and the results are top-notch. If you have oily skin, applying a thick layer might lead to blemishes. - gg*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 26, 2024
Skin type: deep undertone, combination dehydrated skin, pores, acne, sensitive, scars, redness, lots of peach fuzz, shade 23.5 Surprisingly good! I was worried it might be too oily for my combination dehydrated skin, but it's not excessively rich. When my hormonal acne flared up, mixing this with a cure cream, Barr Centella cream, and tea tree oil helped soothe inflammation quickly. It feels a bit heavy when used alone, so I always mix it with other products. Whether mixed or used alone, it's quite sticky and absorbs slowly, causing hair to stick to my face. I always wake up with matted hair in the middle or front and have to wash it again. Apart from the slow absorption and stickiness that makes hair stick to my face, everything else is okay. - kk*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 18, 2024
The hydration is absolutely no joke! After one application, your skin feels so moisturized it's almost dewy. It's not overly sticky, so I think even kids could use it comfortably. While it's wonderfully hydrating, there's a slight oily residue left behind, which is a bit of a downside. I always make sure to blot with oil-absorbing sheets as a final step after using this product.
