I tried the Tone 28 product for the first time and it was really great. I don't usually go for cleansing bars, but this one was genuinely impressive. - There was no tightness after cleansing. - It's convenient as it doesn't leave plastic container waste. My bathroom is cluttered with shampoo bottles, body wash containers, and various other products, so it's nice that this doesn't take up space. Above all, it's fantastic for the environment! - It lathers incredibly well. To be honest, I bought it cheaply with a coupon during a sale event, so I didn't have high expectations. But it creates a rich lather with just a little rubbing, and the cleansing effectiveness is surprisingly good. (However, it's definitely not for makeup removal) The soap bar tends to crumble... I saw on the website that it's made by compressing ingredients together, which might be why it cracks when left out. It's great for a light morning cleanse! Especially recommended for those with dry skin. - ci*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2022
The strong fragrance makes you feel like you're getting aromatherapy Nothing extraordinary, but I'm fairly satisfied with the product. I'd consider repurchasing if it's available at a discounted price - ma******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 31, 2020
Being a low pH product, it seems gentle enough for sensitive skin, and the scent is pleasantly neutral. The cleansing effectiveness is on the milder side, so if you're wearing makeup, it might be best to split your routine into a first and second cleanse. - mi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 15, 2020
I was worried it might be drying or cause tightness, but it's surprisingly moisturizing. I alternate between foam, gel cleansers, and soap depending on my skin's condition, and this one strikes a nice balance - it's adequately hydrating and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I'd consider repurchasing when it's on sale. I cut it and use it with a foam net, and it lathers up nicely. At full price, it doesn't seem to offer the best value for money. Unless you're particularly fond of bar soaps, this product isn't a must-have. It's decent, but not exceptional. - sa********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedSep 2, 2020
Skin type: Sensitive (face often gets red after showering in summer, sadly) / T-zone is normal, rest is dry / Some small blemishes Side note: - This is my second Tone 28 soap after the ceramide one. I'm also using their toner. - The one I'm using only lists rosehip oil, so I'm not sure if it contains shea butter. Pros: - Eco-friendly image and packaging - Lovely scent - Quite large in size. Using it only in the evenings, so it lasts longer than expected - Soothing: While not miraculous, it seems effective as I'm prone to redness but rarely experience overall facial redness after cleansing - Hydration: No feeling of tightness at all after cleansing - Compared to the ceramide soap I used before, this product feels less moisturizing - Like the ceramide soap, Tone 28 products have good ingredients but don't give that 'squeaky clean' feeling after washing. There's a slight sense of a thin moisturizing film when touching the skin, but the forehead and nose areas don't feel thoroughly cleansed. However, it doesn't seem to cause clogged pores or blemishes, so it's not really an issue I use all my cleansing soaps in a mesh bag. It helps create a better lather - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2020
I've been alternating between foam cleansers and bar soaps lately, and I bought this one because of its affordable launch price. There are so many varieties, but since I don't expect a soap to have too many functional benefits, I chose the rosehip one as it seemed to focus on the basics. The scent is surprisingly strong for a soap. It's quite different from my previous almost unscented one... When washing, there's a unique smell that's like a mix of coconut and milk. It's quite distinctive! Among the various types, I chose this low pH one that didn't seem too drying, and it's not bad at all. It feels just right - not too slippery or squeaky clean. Compared to the Benton soap I used before, it's less squeaky. I didn't apply toner immediately to compare, but it seems to leave a slightly more matte finish. It doesn't feel tight, but it's not super moisturizing either. I'll need to use it more and update later. The lather is good even without a soap net. For storage, I cut it and put it in a foam net. Because it's flat, it looks smaller than other soaps of the same weight! - la*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 2, 2019
I thought it would dry out my skin since it's a soap, but it left my skin incredibly hydrated The scent isn't rose as expected, but more like a cheap car air freshener You can use it to wash your entire body. The lather is no joke - it's seriously impressive
