The thin application is ideal for touch-ups, giving you just the right feel.
ConsWell, the staying power wasn't as long-lasting as I had hoped, which was a bit disappointing. However, it was still quite decent overall.
TipBe careful not to apply it too thickly to compensate for the light coverage, as it might feel heavy. Instead, spread it thinly for the best results.

The coverage and staying power could be better though.
ConsI'm a bit disappointed with the coverage and longevity.
TipI'm not really sure about this one. I'd recommend sticking with other cushion foundations.

Unlike cushions where the foundation doesn't distribute evenly on the puff, this tension product applies smoothly with just a gentle press. Also, cushion compacts tend to get messy, but this stays clean, which I love. With cushions, the sponge absorbs the foundation liquid, so when you're running low, you have to press hard to get product out. But with this tension product, the mesh just covers the foundation cream to prevent leakage, so I think you can use it effortlessly with the same feel as when you first opened it until you've used up all the product inside. (I haven't finished a whole compact yet, so I can't confirm this!) I probably won't go back to regular cushions after this. I had read reviews saying it has a strong yellow undertone, but I don't find that to be the case. I actually think it has a slight pink tint. The color is really versatile. I consider myself to have an average Korean woman's skin tone - not too light or dark - and most natural beige shades suit me well. This product gave me a really natural color. When applied thinly, it looks so natural that people have asked if I'm bare-faced. I think shade 21 would have given me a brightening effect, but 23 matches me perfectly for a natural look. It's best to check your shade match in-store, but if that's difficult for various reasons (probably because there aren't many stores), I think shade 23 would suit most people! It gives a really natural glow. Right after application, it looks matte and powdery, but after about an hour, a bit of oil comes through on the nose and cheekbones, making the skin look even more natural. I like this aspect. The slight shimmer makes the skin look evenly radiant. The feel on the skin is amazing. It lives up to its 'powdery' name. No need for powder, so it's convenient and great for summer in many ways. It's lightweight, adheres well, and feels powdery without being sticky. But it doesn't make your face feel extremely dry either! I think not only oily skin types like me, but also combination and normal skin types would be satisfied with this product. I didn't break out or have any skin issues with this product. As someone with quite sensitive skin, I really appreciate this. As a side note, I also liked the included puff. It's thin but elastic, so it seems like it will last a long time. It's also really big, so you only need to lightly dab it once on each cheek, forehead, chin, and nose, then gently pat it in. (I'm using a refill puff specifically for Wonder Tension that I bought separately.) Unless I can find better quality at this price point, which seems unlikely, I think I'll stick with this product. For cushion-type products, this will be my go-to unless I switch to BB cream or foundation. So even though I haven't finished a whole compact yet, I marked that I would repurchase because I probably will!
ConsMaybe it's because I have very oily skin, but the staying power is a bit disappointing. After about 4 hours, only the glow remains and it seems to have worn off quite a bit. Isn't 4 hours a bit short for staying power? I don't like touch-ups and think they're not very hygienic... but I found I needed to do them. It didn't exactly melt off or separate, but I could see my redness starting to show through, so I felt like a lot had disappeared. Also, this product can settle into fine lines. It's probably because it's such a powdery formula. You need to apply it carefully, patting it in thoroughly.
TipThis product pairs well with an oily sunscreen underneath.

ConsThe staying power wasn't great, and there wasn't much difference in skin tone when applied.

Rather than being matte, it has a powdery feel like you've applied a no-sebum powder, making it great for summer use. The packaging is also very pretty, and a little goes a long way as quite a bit comes out with each pump. I'm using it sparingly. For my oily skin, it's a decent product.
ConsFirst off, even though it's shade 23, it appears too light on me. Also, as someone with acne-prone skin, I notice my blemishes and dead skin cells become more pronounced over time. The longevity doesn't seem particularly good. When I apply it before work and check after about 5 hours, I see emphasized flakiness, accentuated blemishes and pores, and even some fine lines. It's a bit disappointing that despite having oily skin, it dries out over time, highlighting these issues. I think if I had chosen a more hydrating option, it might not break down as severely.
TipFor those with dry skin, make sure to thoroughly moisturize before application. When applying, instead of gently tapping, try pressing it in with a bit more force for better adherence and a prettier skin finish. This product seems most suitable as a touch-up option during summer.

I'm an extremely oily skin type who only uses matte foundations, so please keep that in mind. 1. Matte finish!! It's really, really matte. It would be great for summer use. If you have dry or dehydrated-oily skin and want to use this as your first foundation, make sure to exfoliate well and have a solid skincare routine. For me personally, this is the biggest advantage. 2. The coverage is just so-so. It's not bad, just average. I bought it for touch-ups, so I actually prefer that it doesn't go on too thick. It's much less coverage than the Tension Pact Perfect Cover! 3. Color-wise, the previous Tension Pact Moisture and Perfect Cover in shade 23 were too light for me, but this one seems to be slightly darker. It should be perfect for those who are truly shade 23. (In the photo, Perfect Cover 23 is on the left, Matte 23 on the right). When applied to my face, the Matte version looks much more natural and suits me better! I've been using the Tension Pact Perfect Cover for about a month and haven't experienced any blemishes.
Cons1. Settling into fine lines: I tend to have quite a few fine lines, so all base makeup settles into them somewhat. But because this is a matte texture, it seems to settle more noticeably. It's not as bad as the cover type, and if you blend well, it's fine! (Tip: gently swipe the sides of your nose with a cotton swab for a much cleaner look!) 2. Longevity: The matte finish doesn't seem to last as long as I expected. I'm not sure if it's because I have extremely oily skin, but this is the most disappointing aspect. On hotter days, you'll probably need to touch up more frequently. 3. Pore emphasis: I've tried two types of A'pieu tension pacts, and both emphasized my pores as oil started to come through, especially around the nose area. The pore coverage is also weak, so using a pore primer would be a good idea.
TipThe puff that comes with it seems to work best! If you have dry skin, using a damp puff might work, but it might reduce the matte effect a bit. If you're using it for touch-ups, applying it directly over existing makeup can make it look patchy and messy. It's better to remove excess oil or gently wipe with a toner-soaked cotton pad before applying. When I was buying this, there weren't many reviews, so I was hesitant. I hope my review helps with your purchase decision!
